Well, we are taking a British Isle cruise on the Regal Princess and I enjoyed this video. Through the years we have taken about 25 cruises on various cruise lines and all we can deduce is that they are getting more and more expensive and everything seems to be considered an "upgrade" where they charge more. Sadly, in my opinion, too many people re willing to pay for these things when, otherwise, the cruise lines would simply offer them for no additional upcharge as they did years ago. Don't mean to sound like a spoiled sport, just an observation! Thank you for the video, this was helpful information.
Thank you and we are glad it was useful for you. It was actually the first cruise we ever video'd for the channel. There are more and more upgrades the cruise lines are pushing with a few exceptions. We just came back from a Virgin Voyages Cruise on Resilient Lady and all the restaurants and non alcoholic drinks were included, although there were a few paid events if you wanted cocktail making classes and such. The Cabanas are expensive for a sure. And not something we would spend that amount of money on. Then again we know others who wouldn’t spend any more on the Sanctuary to start with. We guess it’s down to what you personally want. Thanks for watching and for the comment Angelwingz, Linzi and Mark

My family and I will be on Regal Princess this summer for a 14-night Mediterranean sailing from Athens to Rome. We heard about the sanctuary and were debating renting it for one of our sea days. Did I hear correctly that if you get a double bed, it's the same $20 for half-day / $40 for full-day even though two people will be using it? Where if we get two single beds it will be $40 total for half-day and $80 for full?
You did hear us right. On our cruise we only paid for the one person rate even though it was a double and we both used it. We’ve had a few other cruisers confirm it was the same for them too and then others who paid slightly more for the double than one single but less than the price of two singles. Hope this helps. Hi Kimberly, only in that it is completely open to the climate ☹️. So, no, I’m t was one of the things we wish it was as any cold or wet weather makes it pretty unusable. Which is a huge shame. They do give nice warm blankets though and it’s be an amazing spot to cruise Alaska. Albeit a chilly one we suspect. Linzi & Mark

Tell us what you think about the Sanctuary. How does it compare to other premium areas on other cruises lines such as The Haven or The Retreat?
The cabana is pointless. You may as well stay I. Your mini suite/suite???? I don't get it?
