- When the 3:35 edit version of Disco Inferno was released to radio stations. It didn't do very good. Because many in the music business took the lyrics literally rather than metaphorically. But it was given a 2nd life when the full almost 11 minute version was added to the Saturday Night Fever movie soundtrack.
I'm 72 fit as can be still can dance this song as I was dancing in the clubs in the 70s

I am 74 and when i hear this i want to get down .I loved 60s and 70s. Wonderful time . Everybody got along danced together had a great time .I do believe this music brought all of us together . We worked hard all week and looked forward to Friday and Saturday nights dancing . Goss, i miss that so much . 😊

The Discotheques in the late 70s early 80s in Acapulco…when it was the jet set capital. So many good clubs…Le Jardín, UBQ,Boccaccio,Armando’s le club, This awesome song played in all the clubs and even zombies would dance! 62 years and still dancing to this banger! Our poor kids twerk! That is why they’re so confused and angry! Disco Inferno is still awesome!

I am 59 and even though I may have been a bit young at the time, perhaps 12 or 13. But I remember junior high dances and they would play Disco Inferno and I would make dance moves I never knew I had. The Trammps!!! Great times!!!

I was a teen at this time. Disco was FUN and it still puts a smile on my face when I hear it! I’m 50 and I’m so glad I had so many great artists to listen to.
It’s all on U Tube, not just the music but people dancing too. Crank it up buddy. Just search disco or 70s 80s. Top Gun music too. The song by the tramps the extended version was ripping hard to dance to, and for that long. It’s famous - the beat is very fast. But the slower songs all are good. Watch the movie with Travolta find it for a few bucks.

When I was in Navy boot camp at Great Lakes Recruit Training center, back in June-July 1978, during firefighting training, one of the instructors played this while we we putting out a fire in an engineering space mockup. The air temp was over 100 F. that day and 90+% humidity. Still think of that whenever I hear this song.

@@robertbarninger7140 I was heading to the I.O. around the time you were at GLakes. :) Besides those sweltering summers in '78 and '79, we had a couple blizzards in one week during the winter between. In '79 we had the riots to deal with. Going through FFT was crazy, though definitely learned how to put out an oil fire using only water. X^)) Now with the news about AFFF exposure causing cancers and sh*t, something we might have to deal with eventually. :^|

I heard this for the very first time in a bowling alley during nighttime bowling as a teenager in 1997 and was immediately hooked. My friend and I just immediately started circling each other doing a funky stare-down! I now know why, that base-line is straight fire. DISCO INFERNO even became my nickname in university during frosh week when I wore a disco outfit during retro night :)

no kidding, find it all on U tube, live recordings with them and the dancers. Let it rip, and bust a move. No better tribute, look at the clothes too. And crank up the volume I use blue tooth speakers. Try some slower stuff from The Bee Gees or a whole mess others just search 70s and 80s disco. Top gun soundtrack. Forget the Tramps, Disco Inferno was the hardest to keep at since the beat was wacked, and the change overs. Look at the words, and burn baby burn. Burn the house down. In tribute. I do it in hotel gyms when no one else is there, otherwise they freak out on the treadmill, I can do most songs but it’s ridiculous the beat to keep up with, and no brake dancing.
