- My review of the only budget mesh system available when I purchased it. It's... not that great. But I'm not discouraged in the technology.

Update: this product supports AC standards now.
Good video, i opted for 3 of the HD standalone routers to setup an ethernet backhaul configuration on all 3 plus having the ability to use all the ethernet ports as well. I dont like the fact that the mesh points are only wifi in the pack version. Infact if you do buy the standalone HD routers you have much more flexibility as you can also use them with an aftermarket router and create a mesh network. Whereas the pack version is indefinitely paired to the wifi only mesh points and cannot be unpaired.

Is this the HD or the standard (AmpliFi Standard Home Wi-Fi Router)? I am confused about what the difference is between the standard and the High Density. Could you enlighten me? Thanks
Tanner Christensen There are three different versions of this system actually. AFi is the standard, LR is the middle one, and HD the top model. I believe I talked about the differences at one point in the video, but essentially it comes down to range and network type support.

The TaoTronics TT-DL18. There are quite a few out there like it. I like the brushed metal finish on this particular one.
so what mesh product do you highly recommend?
Netgear Orbi is pretty good from what I hear.
