Ripped a box of 2001 Topps Traded back in 2001 as a 12 year old for Christmas and pulled that chrome Pujols/ichiro along with the paper version, Pujols base rookie and Griffey Retrofractor haha. Looking back it was such an incredible box! I did keep them in excellent condition thankfully
Wow! What a box! And you’ve kept them all this time!? Nice - thanks for sharing the story!
@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin I did! Always been a collector that kept alot of cards close- I sold the paper Pujols Ichiro but kept the others and remain favorites in my PC.
You guys consistently put out great content.
Really appreciate the support -- thank you! 👊
Great list. Can't argue against any of these. One omission I would have liked to have seen on the list is the 2016 Jose Bautista. The one with the bat toss. Love that photo.
Thanks for watching! And you're right, that is a spectacular image. Maybe the best base chrome card of all time? Such an epic moment captured.
Great selection! Honorable mention I would add the 1998 topps chrome Guerrero SR, hands down one of the sweetest images ever on a chrome card. Especially the refractor version
Oh yeah! Just looked it up - what an image! Thanks for the heads up on it and thanks for watching!
Great job gents. You both have learned so much in a relatively short period of time. I've been back for 2 or 3 years and figuring new stuff out daily. I still can't tell the difference between a parallel and a refractor. lol
Thank you! And we are still learning new things every day. This hobby is evergreen with stuff to pick up on. That's one thing that makes it great! Thanks for watching and happy collecting!
Excellent selection. Glad to see the gold late edition Pujols so high. I’m thrilled you chose that one over the green refractor. I just ran a poll on this on my IG and the green won 58% preferred over the gold at 42%. The gold gets knocks because it’s paper but it looks so much better than green and is considered the true rookie since it came first. Top on my list to get.
Thanks for watching! And the comment. We love them both but had to put the Gold on the list for all the reasons you cite. Happy New Year!
Great list guys. There were a couple of those I’ve never even seen.
Thank you, sir! Glad to hear that were a few surprises.
Awsome vid!!👍🏻😎💥
Thanks for watching!
Excellent list
Thanks for watching!
Awesome cards agreed 🍀🍻
Thanks for watching - Happy New Year!
Agree with all. You did miss the very common 2000 Miggy.
Thanks Yunier! Happy collecting!
Can I be extremely biased and say the wrong retrofractor is on the list? Great video either way, Harper sliding is a huge goal card of mine
Is your vote for the Pujols Traded version?? Love that card -- we own one! -- but had to make a tough choice for the list! 🤣
It's hard for me to get fully on board with Posey as a HOF'er w/ 1500 hits~ half of Clemente~ its just such an abbreviated career not short of accolades certainly but man.... I think the HOF is where he will end up .... however. ~~Nice yob compadres. HNY.
Completely get it. His candidacy hinges on how important voters views titles and his time at the most demanding position. I would lean towards having him in, but I definitely understand the arguments against. Thanks for watching - Happy New Year!
Check out Joe Torre's career numbers and accolades ... and he had to get in as a manager.... he has higher numbers over 800 more hits and HR's ~similar OPS+ and BA numbers ~. HOF is strange...lol. @@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin
I'd love to see the backs of those PSA 10 Pujols retrofractors. The edges on those were always chewed up. Like multiple small pieces missing.
No doubt! And when they were graded… I wonder how many would gem now. Thanks for watching!
Hey Acuna collector here. Thank you for providing such great content. This is off topic for this video but I was wondering if you all could spread some light on something. I recently bought a 2018 Topps Stadium Club Acuna auto. I plan on buying the Ssp photo variation version of that card that doesn’t have the auto. But I’ve been trying to find an answer to which version is the superior version or at least the more preferred version for collectors? I listened to your video and bought the Update White Jersey with glove shortly after watching that video. I know stadium club isn’t a hobby favorite but I love Acuna’s image on that card. Thanks-Kyle
Hello, fellow Acuna collector!
Chris here - the non-auto is definitely the rarer version.
Lots of collectors will always prefer an autographed card, but with all Acuna’s rookie autos, I’d definitely prefer the non-auto, and I think most Acuna collectors would agree.
You’re right about the image! Definitely one of his best rookie images. I love the card and I think you’ll be very happy if you get one.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin greatly appreciate the response!
I bought 3 of the 2010 wrapper redemption Starlin Castro cards thinking I was smart.. Swing and a miss
Oh man! He showed flashes of being A GUY, but just didn't pan out.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin think I seen a stat where Castro actually had more hits in his first 4 seasons than Derek jeter in his first for.. but that’s probably because Castro would swing at everything and never walk lol. And we all know how the rest of Castro career went. Not so Jeterish lol
You mentioned cards being associated with a moment. Were you guys aware that Miguel Cabrera’s 2023 Topps Series 1/Chrome is from his 3,000th hit?
I did not know that! Awesome! Thanks for the heads up 👍🏼
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin You guys got me SP hunting. I’ve picked up quite a few. My three favorites are Bryce Harper bunting, Randy Johnson batting, and Manny in the Green Monster scoreboard.
@@yordanalvarez1460 those are great cards! I live the layout of the Harper bunting card. Horizontal and he’s all bent down.
Nice pick ups!

Whoa! That’s some serious coin.
