  • It couldn’t be a better time to learn more about at home #facials, specifically microcurrent!
    What is a #microcurrent facial? Microcurrent helps lift and tone facial muscles, and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.
    I have not used Botox or fillers, (Not judgy about them, just not right for me so far). You, too, might feel that you don’t need them if you start a micro-current regimen. You can use this device if you have Botox and fillers, FYI.
    #microcurrent #over50skincare #ageingnaturally
    My favorite microcurrent device is from 7EWellness - the Myolift Mini! I have been using this for the last year - I don’t like to shout about something unless I have given it a good test, and I can honestly say, that I wouldn’t want to be without this little gem. I’m realistic about skin care, nothing non-invasive is going to give night and day results, but I really believe that this at least helps slow down signs of aging, and in my experience, microcurrent treatments have knocked a few years off. It has made my skin smoother, firmer, and more lifted.
    But I say again - don’t expect a miracle, you have to keep up with it to see results.

    Hello Kerry-Lou
    Lovely video , I just purchased the Myolift , gloves/ masks .. your demonstration is informative, the book and website show all kinds of products to use , do I really need all that ? I noticed you just used the gel that comes with the unit and spritz of water if needed ..
    I made a lovely high molecular hyaluronic acid myself , can I use that under the lip / eye masks since it says it pushes product into the skin ? Thank you , Sue 🍃🌸🍃

      Hello my friend! Sorry they're so expensive, they're not cheap here either! I suppose some people weigh out the cost of injectables and botox, versus something like this. We shouldn't under estimate the power of facial exercise, guasha and face roller tools. There are so many other less expensive alternatives to treat our skin well! All the best! xx

    Thanks for this, Kerry-Lou! You are an inspiration, not to mention so generous with your knowledge. Question: my eyelids are droopy enough to get me thinking about surgery (gasp!) Would the Myolift Mini be helpful? Anything to avoid a big procedure! Thank you! Keep producing your wonderful vids! Love them!

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  3 роки тому +3

      Hi Meryl, Thank you so much for your nice comment, I'm sure most of us with hooded eyes think about surgery! Most eyes droop with age, but if you started off with hooded eyes, (mine were hooded even when young) they tend to look sleepy with age. So what I found is that, yes, if you use it regularly it does make the eyes look more alert and awake, it strengthens the muscle in the eyebrow area giving a little "lift". It wont look like eyelid surgery, it will give you a more rested look. I am always thinking about an eye-lift, but then I say, "maybe next year" :-D Good luck! xx

      Just be very very careful, as I found that even on 175 erase it somehow tightened what felt like the optical tendons in the top-rear of my eye when I placed the Mini probes across my left eyelid (I have hooded eyes)! Perhaps conducted more due to the higher water content there? But please be careful placing it on eyelids.

      @kerrylou3  3 роки тому +1

      Well just to make the decision harder, there is a new model from Myolift, called the Myolift QT, it just came out this week. It is small and totally portable. Also you can plug the mask and the gloves (like the ones I use in the video) into it. The only thing you cannot do with it, are those pinch and hold moves as I show in the video. If I could only have one, I would choose the one that I show in the video, the Myolift mini, I think it allows for better sculpting ability. It takes a bit of practice, but I have found it worthwhile. If you email me, I will send you my phone number and you can feel free to call me if you need some advice kerry-lou@kerry-lou.com

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, that was just sped-up, otherwise the video would have taken so long. You will see text saying how the timing should go - for erase mode, 5 to 10 movements in each area, no hold. for educate mode, 3 to 5 movements, hold at the end of each movement for 3 to 5 seconds.

    Hello! When you are focusing on the under eye area, why wouldn't you use an out and upward sweep? It seems like that would have better lifting. Thanks and I enjoyed this video.

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not an esthetician, however I believe Myolift suggests this movement because it's the opposite way that our muscles are generally working in this area. When we laugh or squint our eyes, they pull outward, so this movement stretches and relaxes the muscles here. Plus their is drainage outlet to the lymph system towards the nose, so it helps the fluids drain from this area.

    Hi Kerry-Lou! I wanted to know if microcurrent can cause fat loss on your face! I’ve seen microcurrent be used on the body and marketed for fat loss. If used in the longterm, even at a lower current, can fat loss still occur on the face? Thank you so much!
    PS. You look absolutely gorgeous!

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  2 роки тому +2

      Microcurrent doesn't, but that's a very good thing to consider. A company wanted me to test a device that worked on some kind of radio frequency, and I looked into it and found that it DID indeed get rid of fat, which I didn't want gone from my face! I said no thanks! If anything, the microcurrent plumps up the face I've found ;-D

      No, this doesn't rid face of fat, -as we age we do need fat in our facial skin. I realise you're talking about the fat pads in the jowls and hooded eyes, microcurrent will give you a slight lift, but not a night and day difference.

      Hi Kathy, at the spa I went to, they used a setting that was way too strong. there was a lot of twitching, which I found out later is not a good thing! They do have stronger models at 7eWellness, but if you use it regularly, this one (goes up to 400 micro amps) is plenty strong enough. There's a link in my video description.

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  3 роки тому

      Hi Yolanda, I do have 11s, in fact I have 1111’s! I don’t think this device will get rid of them completely, but it should soften them. Also you may want to look up the SIO, The ones for the frown area. This device has definitely softened 1111’s, because it relaxes the area. I think our muscles are so used to doing a certain thing, it’s hard to get rid of lines that they create. Sorry I couldn’t have been of more help

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  3 роки тому

      The SIO patches are a similar idea to the Frownies, but they are made of silicone. They are better than Frownies, but a bit pricey. Maybe I’ll make a video on them, so I can talk about them in more detail. they do get you out of the habit of engaging those muscles, even if you don’t think you are. But bear in mind that those muscles have been developing over a lifetime in the formation of the frown, so it’s hard to get rid of them completely. I have marionette lines, and I know I’ll never get rid of them, unless I have surgery of course LOL. But If I can stop them from getting worse, or soften them, with devices etc. then I’m happy.

    • @kerrylou3

      Hi thanks for your question - When I first tried Microcurrent it was in a salon, and it made my face twitch like crazy! I videod that, and many experts said "nooo" you shouldn't even feel it, otherwise it will have the opposite effect!" (Took that video down) SO after further researching I have found that to be true, you shouldn't feel it. When I use it around my eye area, the optical nerves respond, and you might get some flashes when you close your eyes - that's OK. Make sure the conductivity bar is solid, that means it's working. Also, make sure you have plenty of gel - I also put some on the probes. I buy a less expensive one from Amazon. Good luck!

    • @kerrylou3
      @kerrylou3  3 роки тому +1

      I don’t really personally trust ANY photos or videos to see whether someone has gone through a transformation from using a face cream or a gadget. The slightest shift in lighting can make you look very different. Just the way you position your head can make A big difference. I think it comes down to reading up on the science of some of these devices, and if it makes sense to you, maybe give it a try. I do believe in a holistic approach to beauty - eating right, drinking lots of water, a good skin care routine, and yes, I do like my devices:-). I don’t think this device will reverse time, but I believe they do slow down the aging of skin and muscle.

      This device actually DOES work. I finally gave in and spent a total of £275 (mainly due to delivery cost) to get the kit shipped over to London last week. I was a bit scared to try it but I did last night for my forehead & dbl chin... I did it last thing at night, noticed a diff in the mirror and went bed. I think I overdid it near my eye but the next morning everything was fine. I focused on the neck last night (my 2nd ever go) and it further reduced my double chin already!!! My mum wants to try it now (she's near 60) and she said neighbours will be queuing up to try it if they find out what I bn using on my face!!!
