I really like Lady Wu in MTU, not only she has a bit of corruption reduction in her background, her armor also has some :) great character. Together with Guo Jia, and even that Eunuch later in the game where you have enough satisfaction -- corruption will be super low!
Honestly think someone in the development team took one look at Sun Ce's faction color being red, thought of the Takeda, and gave his faction calvary bonuses. Thanks for the video.
At work so haven't watched yet, but let me see... TW3K records mode? Sun Ce without cavalry? Reminds me of this joke: did you know that by switching potato chips for grapefruit as your daily snack you can end up losing up to 80% of the joy you had in life? Not saying this isn't gonna be fun to watch though! It's your potato chips you traded away, not mine! Go for it!
it’s not widely known, and this campaign is well underway…. The Nanman Elephant mount will turn a Records Mode retinue into a single unit entity (not sure about hip points.) but hey trample and special abilities, depending on the version
I just wish we could choose the bodyguard type for the lords, just like they do in Troy and Pharaoh. Hystorical modes are way funnier to play and focus a lot more on strategy. Always play this way in other hystorical total wars! :)
I once did a records run with Sun Ce as well, only to realize at around turn 50 one of the first legacy of Wu objectives was still to win duels with Sun Ce, but you cant duel in records.
Getting Liu Chong would be perfect for this campaign. Marry him to Lady Wu, and make him heir(better bg bonus) and switch gear to crossbow. Pretty on brand with Wu.
It refers specifically to the area where the Yangtze exits to the ocean because the river sort of curves up before whipping east creating this area that is sort of east of the river
39:48 This is something that find annoying in this game. The AI really likes to wait for the reinforcement, and once they get their reinforcement, they will also slowly walk toward your army to save stamina (which makes sense, I know), but it takes a really long time before the fight could even start especially because Three Kingdoms maps are massive. I would prefer for the AI to just rush at the player if they find their forces superior, or the army is commanded by reckless generals and stuff for variety, and so that some battles could be a bit faster.
Hey serious, love your videos and been a subscriber for years. I got a challenge for you ! how about you make a historical campaign without starting any battles, rather delegating all the battles.
General skill boost unit base on class so sentinels would have skills that boost specifically melee infantry or purple units in their retinue and so forth
I was laughing so hard at that marriage proposal for lady Wu Btw as someone that doesn't play 3k, does giving generals bows/crossbows make the bodyguard units ranged options? That'd be pretty OP
Sun Ce's bonus makes absolutely no sense historically speaking. The Sun Clan was constantly trading their precious stones and abundant resources to the north for horses because they had so few.
Records combat is fun but out-of-combat it's strictly worse and less interesting. Admittedly, the challenge makes that factor even worse than it already is. Still, it's mildly entertaining of its own accord.

Next campaign: Ma Teng with no cav
😂😂 this will be torture
"what are those long faces?" *piggyback rides off into the sun set*
Or Ma Teng with ONLY cav.
@skarbone1 been there done that
@@SeriousTrivia Haha I'll have to check that out. I'm sure it was significantly easier than this lol.
Damn, I literally marathoned your playlist. Really enjoyable gameplay.
Next ideas:
Yuan Shao without retinues
Lui Bei without militia
Lu Bu without Lu Bu
Cao Cao without widows
Yuan Shu without honey water
Never thought about it too much in terms of game mechanics, but wasn't Wu renowed for it's archers and fleet?
Next Campaign: Liu Bei Records Mode. Only Militias until emperor
With all this drama in the total war community over Warhammer and Pharaoh, your 3k campaigns are like water in the desert.
SunCe excels in cavs and ST took it personally 😂

Go for it!
Awesome, was on vacation at the beach and it's raining, so got to unwind from the unwind with some total war.
Nice ❤

I think Guo Jia might just not have had a mission because you had no land.
I just wish we could choose the bodyguard type for the lords, just like they do in Troy and Pharaoh. Hystorical modes are way funnier to play and focus a lot more on strategy. Always play this way in other hystorical total wars! :)

I think charging your general into another general counts
old school warring states rules where only nomads have uber cav!
We're back to blocks of Infantry this time!
What kind of machosist challenge is this mister ST?
Getting Liu Chong would be perfect for this campaign. Marry him to Lady Wu, and make him heir(better bg bonus) and switch gear to crossbow. Pretty on brand with Wu.
With Cao Cao, destiny is nothing but unfathomable scheming.
24:29 that’s just a regular day for a CK3 player.
I always struggle with Sun Ce so this will be fun to watch
24:48 I guess all the southlands are the same! :)
Yay!!! Sun clan again! Its been awhile.
One thing I always got confused as a kid was that Wu was said to be "Jiangdong" but the river runs East to West mostly...

It just doesn’t make for a good viewing experience. And you can cheese delegate values too.
Before declaring independence i was worried that yuan shu will snatch lady wu. Liu bei almost always steals my cao ren in my lü bu run
Records mode is better yeah looking forward to this
How does units being from the same element matter? To me its aesthetic but I'm wondering if there's some bonus?
General skill boost unit base on class so sentinels would have skills that boost specifically melee infantry or purple units in their retinue and so forth
Is this another episode of ST holding a grudge on Sun Quan, marry him to Diaochan so Lu Bu comes knocking ?
When you have no lands everyone offers non aggression. It's an easy way to make money before taking xindu
im here for wu forces!!
Liu Bei with no...err..honour?
Next maybe playing liu chong only roual guard and peacekeeper
I was laughing so hard at that marriage proposal for lady Wu
Btw as someone that doesn't play 3k, does giving generals bows/crossbows make the bodyguard units ranged options? That'd be pretty OP
I don’t think it does. That’s a newer feature on the more recent games such as Pharaoh
@@SeriousTrivia shame. I don't have any interest in pharoah at all even with the coming update that would make the game seem worth it's price.
what mods do you use?
MTU (Make Them Unique)
It's the most subscribed mod in the Steam workshop.
Maybe Lu Bu campaign with out LuBu
🔥
🎉
the playlist is upside down
should be fixed now
But……..why?

I would have just cut Han Dang loose, Vanguards are much less usefull in a no cav game. Too many characters eating up precious early game money.
Well, with all honesty i would prefer the general to stay on horses. It just doesn't feel right without it ngl.
