I vacationed in Vietnam in 2018. Was in Hoi An and was hungry and just wanted something close by my hotel. Stopped at the first food place i saw. It was an old lady only selling chicken rice. It was the most amazing thing i ever had. When she gave me the check, i think it was only a like a dollar or 2. All i had was a 500,000 dong bill. She could'nt give me change. She was going around the block asking people for change. I was trying my hardest to tell her its ok, she can just have it. She finally excepted it and was so grateful. It was an experience I'll never forget
One of my favourite vlogs ever. So chill and relaxed and everything in Hoi An looked so amazing! Anything you visit anywhere I immediately add it to my list 😍 Like and support from Bangalore
amazing video!! love this dish and i feel like the free range aspect of the chicken is crucial. could you please do a video on how you sharpen your knives/maintain cutting boards one day!
@feedthepudge I've heard many asian & hispanic women say this many times. I'd say, "they eat different." They have a distinct mouth feel and fall differently into different foods. For example, shredded chicken vs. diced or sliced in salads(like yours), curries, pho ga, caldos, guisados, mole, etc. The contrast between eating/enjoying a pho ga with 1" beef-meatball-sized chicken cubes vs. shredded/pulled chicken would be of note.
Thanks for spreading the word that you DON’T need to wash your chicken (unless making broth like you mentioned). Insane how so many people think you have to and you’re only putting yourself and others at risk of getting salmonella by doing that. Keep it up 👍
I have to chime in. I was in the 'do not wash chicken' camp until I noticed chicken poop on the drumsticks! I kid you not! My family used to raise a couple of chicken in the backyard in Saigon so I know what I saw.

@@shaymin33988 The free range chicken definitely adds a different textural element for sure. And yes, can definitely do that one of these days
Hand shredded chicken is COMPLETELY different than chopped chicken. 100% in my opinion.🤤
@@DB-xo6xh for sure!

Easy fix. Sanitize your sink and surrounding area afterwards.
I’m team no wash but for broths… I couldn’t agree more with you !!!
