Yeah the whole "I love myself the way I am" (even if I'm unhealthy, depressed and sometimes cry when I look at myself in the mirror) Don't anyone believe that shit. No one is content with themselves when they're obese. Hell, I see women that are solid 10's and they still aren't content with themselves so I really find it hard to believe that nonsense.

"$400-$500 dollars a week on food" is so EASY TO DO in a big American city, it blows my mind. I cut out coffee, alcohol and takeaway (and no delivery fees or Ubers to get food) and I am rollin' in the dough like Scrooge McDuck. You said it, girl, "Sheesh!" When I realized that intermittent fasting was just eating three times a day and portion control, that made me realize that American food culture is different/toxic. It trains you to FEEL your body and eat when you're actually hungry and stop when you're full. Before that, I would snack all day and probably only eat 1 BIG meal a day and give into cravings. After about a week of doing it, it just became super easy cause my body had adjusted

"people think that you are more disciplined, healthier and better when you're thinner" that's just the truth.
As someone who's come out of the "I don't care how I look" mentality into the "I want to look good because if I look good, I will feel good, I know it" this can't be more true.
Thank you for being so honest. I've always wished I was thinner. I'm not getting any of the results I want but I will keep on trying. This video offered me some fresh perspective and a little nudge to keep trying and not give up. Thank you, Hailey.

I absolutely LOVE this video! As a registered dietitian and woman of color, it's very disheartening to see so many of us being complacent about being overweight. Even if your genetics are "stacked against you" there is something you can do about it. The body positivity movement has caused so many of us to stay in bodies that we don't truly love. Your quality of life is more important than the aesthetic of losing weight, but once you lose you'll never want to go back. Most of the time, we need to address how to process our emotions without using food. That's when you can really keep the weight off (if you're an emotional eater). Thank you for your raw honesty in this video and hopefully many will take action to create a healthier lifestyle from watching.

That being said if you are truly positive about your body you will treat it right. When people are negative about their bodies they stress eat, do plastic surgery, starve themselves and mess their body up even more.

Fruits, veggies, lean meats, fish, lots of water, fasting and walking 4-5 miles a day, it literally was a game changer. in two months everyone noticed not only the difference in the way I looked but my attitude and energy changed substantially as well. Same happened to me my period regulated. At the beginning I also broke out like crazy on my jaw line, neck and back and now it’s so clear. I lost 35 lbs in two months. Congratulations on you feeling good and looking FANTASTIC!

I lost almost 40 lbs doing a natural cleanse/detox and I still have a few more lbs to go (correcting my gut health because I added back inflammatory foods that I now know is the cause to my stomach not getting smaller but the rest of body has changed drastically) I am 5'9 so everyone thinks I look super skinny but I am still not near my goal. The key has been to focus on what makes me feel good. I didn't like how I looked despite everyone saying I looked good. So this video defiantly hit home.

My mom has high cholesterol so much that she can’t even eat chicken without getting a red rash all over her hands. When she went to Mexico to go see her family and only stayed within her small town. She at first was not eating any meat. But she gave in when her mom made her famous pozole with a chicken that was from her dads farm. She had no red rash after eating it. The next day she ate even ate her moms spicy meatballs, no red rash. After that she was eating pork rinds, carnitas, barbacoa, even sweets, and of course eating veggies and fruits, beans, and tortillas. She didn’t get any bad symptoms at all though out those next 2 weeks. She in fact lost 10 pounds, as well as my little brother. They weren’t sight seeing so they weren’t walking a lot they mostly just stayed with in her dads property. But of course naturally they probably moved around more. But still when my mom came back and ate baked chicken that we cooked she had a red rash. So much of our food in the US is overtly processed and sadly most parts in Mexico as well now have access to overtly processed foods too. My mom is thinking of taking her 401k out early and moving back to Mexico because her health is only declining here in the states.

Still ate fast food, sweets, carbs, anything I wanted. I was down to 123 pounds after those 4 months. Some may say I wasn’t internally healthy or whatever but I just wanted weight loss and that was my main goal. I’ve been doing IF on and off over the last few months and feel SO much better when I’m doing it. Giving my body a few hours before bedtime to digest food before sleeping has majorly impacted my quality of sleep.
I have studied extended water fasts for years and tried a couple of them when I really wanted to heal my stomach or skin. Fasting is incredibly healing and it’s so amazing to see this talked about more openly on social media and not demonized. When used correctly, intentionally and for good reasons, fasting is remarkably healing. When I water fasted for 3 days (monitored & supplemented) my eyesight improved, focused improved, I swear even my hearing improved. The focus state your brain goes into is why religious people do it for prayer! It can truly be a spiritual experience on top of a health experience.

I actually wanna cry watching this bc I’ve been dealing with bloating for so long and it’s definitely not normal, I’m tired of being overweight. I ended up getting this condition called psudotumor which is basically a false tumor in my brain & hypotension pressure / fluid build up in my brain bc I’m over weight !!! I got it last year & almost lost my vision. The fluid spreads through your optic nerves & you can actually go blind if left untreated. I had to be on a diaretic medication for a couple months which is essentially a pill that releases fluid from my brain when I pee. I got hospitalized and had to get an emergency spinal tap that was extremely painful ( it was to drain some of the fluid from my brain ). My doctors told me they were unsure of the cause. Healed up from it & got it again the same time a year later ( this year ). Saw a great neurooptomologist because I needed answers. He told me this is happening bc I’m overweight & I need to lose atleast 5% of my body weight or else I will experience this probably once a year for the rest of my life. Obv it doesn’t happen to everyone overweight , but it happened to me! Btw I’m not obese, I weigh 150 but I’m 5’2 so I’m trying to drop 30 pounds & go down to 120 since that’s the healthy weight for my height.

The fact that you started on my birthday (9/25-9/26) is a synchronized event for me. @33 and starting a consistent journey after being diagnosed with Crohn’s/Colitis builds anxiety but your video is really motivating. 👏🏽

Honestly you are hands down one of my favorite UA-camrs. Thank you for always being transparent and real about your journey. Because especially after having a child it’s such a struggle to get back into shape. This gives me hope again 💕💕💕

I stopped eating beef and pork a while ago. Eating chicken and fish only. I take supplements and also drink a lot of water. Thanks for this information. I feel and look so much better.

❤I love it. This is very true, healing the gut helps your body to function. I suffer from Migraine headaches and my stomach is always affected. Since changing my diet and cutting down and out certain foods and not drinking alcohol has reduced my headaches and I feel great. Thank you so Hailey ❤

Listennnnn, she may not be a health "expert" or certified in nutrition but let me tell you, what she said works! Started fasting last week, focused on drinking more water, eating better/nourishing food and I've already lost 8lbs. Fasting works so grateful for this video because this is something that is actually sustainable for me :D

Please be careful. I don’t think fasting is recommended during pregnancy.

You can’t detox now but you can eat clean and include probiotics.

@@lolatara7201not fasting but while pregnant you could stick to solid meal times and cut outnsnack times but still get your calories. Gives the stomach time to fo its thing

FIRST HAILEY - You WILL NOT gain it back. Your weight loss is deeper than just aesthetics, it is health. Once you fix the root, the rest is maintenance.
Moving on...my fiance and his side are Italian (Cremonan/Roman), and every time we stay with my in laws, we eat fresh raw fennel before lunch and dinner. Every single time. I rarely have stomach issues when in Italy. My fiance and I we eat our fresh salads daily with olive oil and balsamic vinegar (no other added nonsense). I still want to step up my health game, even though my figure isn't an issue for me - I do get bloated A LOT and my stomach is not at its optimum.

I have all that just found out I have gallstones they are painful but with the Grace of God I will get through this finding natural pathway remedies instead I don’t want to remove my gallbladder. There’s many women that are going through the same I feel we need to spread awareness. Fasting is so powerful keep on sharing Hailey. A lot of women think of fasting is a bad. when we where told to eat 💭 breakfast, lunch, dinner we’ve been lied too. I was so sick for 5 years. And for 7 days I couldn’t keep nothing down it was horrible that I got so skinny but looked like I was sick pale. I would sleep so much it was horrible back pain. I was on the toilet 20 times a day I was depressed just like you. Couldn’t even work out. maybe I had what you had but not one doctor listen they just told me to lose weight they ignored my pain.
