- This car was up for auction...a nice new style for Lincoln. At this point, Lincoln graduated in size to match the competition. This is one big car..very colorful interior, nicely appointed. It gives the impression of the interior of an aircraft with the neat arrangement of controls. Luxury personified!

Hey, Jason! That's what I love about these auction cars..you have the ability to really examine the car! Thanks! :) Jack
Of course Jack, I'm gonna really like this beautiful 56 Lincoln! What a grand lookin' Lincoln it is too. Thanks for sharing.
Nice looking car. I've always liked Ford cars of the 1950s. I used to know someone who had a 1955 Lincoln. I got to ride in it. It was quite comfortable. It wasn't as comfortable as you'd expect a luxury car to be, but it wasn't uncomfortable either. I thought it was somewhere in between.
I always liked the 50's Lincolns I never got to ride in one but would love to sometime; I like the colorful interior, very cherry and wants you to climb in.
A rare and special beauty!! Thanks again!!
Hey, Warren! A car like this deserves attention! I knew you'd like! Thanks! :) Jack
Hey, Barry! These interiors were indeed inviting..plenty of room and very colorful. You could bet they were comfortable! Thanks! :) Jack
Hey, Roger! I agree..particularly for the later models. The emphasis is on long and low...and the back window covers an area comparable to the Kaiser's Thanks! :) Jack
I've never been to an auto auction. But that'd be fun to open the doors, trunk, and hood to see what's in there.
I sure agree...you just don't see many of these fantastic Lincolns! Thanks! :) Jack
Beautiful Lincoln. It was really nice to get such a good look at the interior and its features. I don't think that the fabric in the seats is original, but it sure looks good just the same.
It's hard to say about the originality of the seat fabric. Lincoln had some very colorful interiors at the time. At any rate, it's in the spirit of the time. Thanks! :) Jack
That's true. If I knew where there's a car auction where I live, I'd check it out for myself.
Hey, Terry! If big meant luxury, then this qualified! LOL! Packard and this Lincoln had a lot in common...I think there was a lot of mutual influence. Thanks! :) Jack
Hey, Jason! Very stylish car...these cars probably put the premium on comfort as opposed to maneuverability. Thanks! :) Jack
Hey, guys! Colorful, luxurious, comfortable...and I'm sure all the rides could stretch out! Not all cars can say that! Thanks! :) Jack
So true..this car was absolutely uncluttered when compared to the '58 models. I don't know what caused them to stray so far from clean design. Those clear plastic wands were indeed a distraction, and represented an early stage in air conditioning design. Thanks! :) Jack
Not overly chromed and it has some nice character lines. Some think that this is the best looking Lincoln of the 50s. Now this top of the line Premier looks fully restored. It would be a great highway cruiser, but don't take it to a cramped parkade.
Hey, Chester! Yes indeed..it sure was a dramatic shift from its predecessors. I think Lincoln was equating the much bigger design with luxury...and indeed it would be problematical to park it..especially today, with smaller spaces in vogue. Thanks! :) Jack
Beauty!
Hey, Chester! This was a big step forward for Lincoln! A dramatically bigger car than its immediate predecessor! Thanks! :) Jack
Hey, Jason! As a side issue, you get to see what cars are selling for....I'm too busy videoing to pay that much attention. Thanks! :) Jack
So I'm told. I never got to drive the car, so I don't know. I think it's neat to be able to open the door to show the interior.
Something about this reminds me of a Kaiser.
