McTominay is consistent at being a rotational player. Pogba is inconsistent at being a match winner. That's the problem. McTominay is a Darren Fletcher and first name on the team sheet, Pogba is a Berbatov type and the best player
Mctominay has been our best player this season. Me might not be the biggest name on the teamsheet but he certainly is the first one on it this season. He's come into his own and has shown that mourinho and the rest of the people at the club have been right to give him his chance. Try to involve him as much as possible Kev ❤️
Darren Fletcher was exactly the player I had in mind when I was describing a typical average midfield squad player. Or Nicky Butt. He’s another of them from what I can tell - at least in the game he seems to be.

Scott Mctominay is currently our best midfielder besides Pogba and has yesterday won the POTM. He's showing signs of being a great leader and becoming a great holding midfielder. He bossed Liverpool and Chelsea in the past week. He's got to be a Champions league level player.
Played the Beta for a bit yesterday. My first thoughts were that its a bit easier to sell the Manchester United dead wood. I sold Young to Saudi Arabia and Rojo to China for a combined 16m. With that money added to by budget I signed Thomas Partey for his £53m release clause and Bruno Fernandes for the same amount. As for the game play I've noticed & reported that theres way too many goals scored outside the box including one from Martial from the centre circle. Overall quite pleased.
Tactically if you play Lingard on the right as a winger there is no point playing Young as a wing back as you already have the wing support from out wide. In other words if you playing with a positive or attacking mentality you would basically have 2 wingers when on attack... I'd suggest play Young as a support role full back and tuck him infield instead of staying out wide. Or if you want to get adventurous play him as an inverted wing back which would boost the stability in attacking build up in the middle. The idea of wing back is to provide supports from the wide position if you don't have any.

Just like fifa I’m sure mctominay is a low rated player on FM but in real life he is by far for me one of our top 5 players his work rate is incredible and he knows what it means to play for United! And he’s only going to get better and better, he actually starts for us 99% of the time

At Annan they had picnic benches, only time I’ve seen that at a club. Mind you they didn’t even separate the sets of fans either so just an all round weird ground
McTominay has is one of the most underrated DMs in the league. We've see him able to play splitting passes now as well, so he's definitely a class act, and I don't think he's going to be just a squad player. Probably developing into a more creative Casemiro-type role. But Ole wants him going forward, it seems, even though he solves our DM issue.
McTominay has never been a DM, that's what most people fail to understand. He was never able to play a decent game while playing deep or holding midfielder, his profile has always been more of a Box to box. That's why he couldn't take over Matic's role as a holding midfielder in a 4-3-3, and that's why his partnership with Pogba doesn't work well : neither of them is comfortable playing deep and holding the midfield. Most people believe MUFC need a more attacking midfielder even if Pogba stays, while the real problem in midfield still seems to be the lack of a real deep holding midfielder to play in front of the defense. In FM I would probably sign someone like Tonali or Florentino Luis.
The bpd needs to be changed or something added to make them more realistic. Yes there's few cb's that can create from deep but it's those penetrative passes through the lines in the build up that I don't think we see enough of in this game
I'd be looking at getting ndidi from Leicester, see if van de Beek can play that cam role if not Rodriguez is a good option. Angel gomes in the reserves could be a good player to try in that cam position also in pre season. Then maybe a left footed inside forward for the right, someone like a Cenghis Under from Roma (however you spell it)

In real life, whenever Lingard was playing as an inverted winger, he frequently terminated attacks in the middle can caused the right to be devoid of attacking threat.Meanwhile, Dan James as a traditional right winger is frequently doing against top 6 teams what Lingard did against the U23s: feeding accurate crosses to Rashford in counter attacks.
Who remembers champ man 02/03 where man united where unbelievably good you could easily go two seasons unbeaten without spending a penny in the transfer market
Sell Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Phil Jones, Marcos rojo and get a new left back, a central midfielder (Saúl Niguez) and a right winger (Jadon Sancho) and try using Pogba as an attacking midfielder or play a 433 system with Mctominay as number 6 in front of him Paul Pogba and another cm.
Why are you still sorting by scout rating? Just because a player has the highest rating, doesn’t mean thats the best player that your scouts have scouted. You have to look at the star ratings, he could just have high potential but be a league 2 quality player right now
McTominay looks like a defensive centerback playing out of position. 6’4” and a huge jump reach. Good marking and tackling but cannot shoot at all. That’s a centerback!

On My previous United saves Tottenham and Chelsea i belive always have interest in Lingard so i could sell him for for 30-50m i Hope it is like that in this years FM becuase i refuse to have Lingard playing 1 minute for the club on My save 🤣🤣 Also Really annoyed we have loaned out alot of players becuas now i cant sell them and invest that money in to the squad :(
I know the point you’re trying to make, but you should also remember that legally they wouldn’t be allowed to accurately portray a players likeness, so it doesn’t really matter.

Kev, you are very wrong about McTominay. When he came through two years ago he felt like a squad player not good enough for us, but Jose saw something in him and named his Managers Player of the Year. Since then he has kicked on tremendously and this season has been one of best players. Commanding on the ball and in the midfield in general, has popped up with some good goals and some big tackles. He is 100% going to be a superb player for us and Scotland in the future. Lingard, on the other hand, is nothing but a squad player. Daniel James has been a revelation of a signing this season and is going to be a future star.
