Wish I could like this video more than once. I would have gone with a 4-3-1-2 system, a bit of old school Kev. Looking forward to seeing what you did end up doing. Excited for this series, cannot wait to see where it takes us this year!
When I did kings lynn. Wide play worked well for me. But I’ve found making my own custom tactic seemed to work a lot better eventually. Signed some wingers and full backs and started there
So happy we are back. Come on the linnets. Just a quick one. Warnock was sacked in November on my Leeds save due to bad handling of the clubs finances let’s hope that doesn’t happen to you
Great intro, looks like you've got a really good team. I'd play 4-4-2, wing play, providing you can sign a RM that can cross. Then take advantage of the two big target men in the box and score goals galore from crosses and set pieces!
Playing along with The Rebels, Slough Town FC. Things are going... "ok". We are overachieving at 8th in the Vanarama South, considering on my first day at the club I upset everyone by daring to suggest we could fight to avoid relegation, which they didn't want to bother even trying. Leaning heavily on trialing players every single week and bringing the most useful in on non-contracts, and playing a fairly direct counter-attacking 4-4-2.
Still think this is the best non league to legend series. Re-watching since I've just binch watched the 2023 series haha need something to listen/watch while playing fm23
I'd make Right Back and Left Back priorities for signing players, Kev. If you're not sticking with wingers, then I'd sell on the quality winger you have and use that money to get another Center Back. I've found that it's more important to prevent the other team from scoring a goal instead of hoping to score a lot to win games in non-league. Of course, if you find the right players, you can have them do both like you did at Holme. I'd also look to loan in a midfielder or two (maybe a DM or #10?) and play a diamond. I'd definitely play the ball up the middle and attack that way because you already have players who can handle that.
Been watching you for a few years good to see ya fan base growing so fast. Keen for another year of non league legend. Hopefully you end up at Arsenal again
Looks like a quality team to start with this year. Personally I would go for the 4 2 4 you were already considering, always seems to do the job for me in non league.
Currently on 3rd season with king's Lynn and top of league 2 after 28 games played. Won the vnn by 1pt over Kidderminster and flew through vnl winning the title with 109 points losing once. League 2 is more of a challenge as wage budgets etc and tougher teams but currently leading the way.
Finally I’ve found a decent FM series too watch!! Keep up the great work I will be watching this series I love doing a non league career ! You’ve definitely gained a new fan with me 👌🏻
I was curious about what a Linnet is. Obviously a bird , but looking up on Wiki....oooh! "The common linnet is a small passerine bird of the finch family, Fringillidae. It derives its scientific name from its fondness for hemp seeds and flax seeds--flax being the English name for the plant from which linen is made." Scientific name is Linaria Cannabina. Loves Cannabis! The darn thing is freakin' high all the time....hehehe. You need to find some Jamaican Rastas to play for you. Usain Bolt is available I think?
Yayyyyyyyyyyyy It's Here !!! Go for 4-4-2 with having these 2 up front and then 4-3-3 and look to bring in winger/inside forwards, incase one of the boys up top gets a long term injury
Not as formal contracts the way they are in game, at least in England. Unless the rules have changed, English clubs aren’t allowed a formal parent club.
lollujo my club Coventry have always had an unofficial one with Nuneaton but has changed this year to leamington we regularly loan out younger players to them and have a pre season friendly each year
Started my NL2L, currently living and working in China, the nearest team to me is Neimenggu Caoshangfei, they play in Baotou and are in the Chinese National Second Division, but the vanilla only has the Chinese Super League and Chinese National First Division. As such, the closest playable team to me is Neimenggu Zhongyou who play in Hohhot, the next city (90 minute drive) over. I'm expected to have a top half finish and with 6 games remaining I am 3rd.
No fullbacks? Play a 3-4-3! 3 centerbacks, 4 midfielders, and 3 strikers. Sounds weird but works great. I’ve used it a lot recently. The 3 centerbacks make a strong defense and the 2 wide midfielders drop back to help naturally. I use direct attacking tactics with it.
5-3-2. Two full-backs, three centre backs, three centre backs and those two strikers. Fancy for non-league but if you're destined for the top you have to innovate.
Narrow midfield Diamond or 4-3-1-2 probably suits the squad you have, but I'd say for NL North/South I'd sign wingers and play 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 with pushed up wingers
I'm taking Kings Lynn all the way to champions league glory this year. First season smashed the record points total. Simple 442 did it for me. Alfie Payne just far too good for that division! Good luck I will be following the journey.
Idk y but I decided to get a data base that has up to the 10 division in English football , and I’m aiming for a long save , I am managing Black Country and their nick name is the stealers
Fun fact, Paul Bastock hold the record for the most competitive club appearances in the world at 1,279
Imagine Paul and David noble in midfield with a combined age of about 80
YESS I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG! COME ON GUYS LET'S SEE WHERE WE GO THIS YEAR
XEONES I’m predicting we’ll end up in Schalke sometime during this save.
I chose Kings Lynn as my save when the beta came out, just finished 1 place out of the playoffs first season, Marriott is an animal
Wish I could like this video more than once. I would have gone with a 4-3-1-2 system, a bit of old school Kev. Looking forward to seeing what you did end up doing.
Excited for this series, cannot wait to see where it takes us this year!
YESS!! Non League to Legends back! There goes my afternoons
When I did kings lynn. Wide play worked well for me. But I’ve found making my own custom tactic seemed to work a lot better eventually. Signed some wingers and full backs and started there
Can't wait for this! I hope you can live up to Kings Lynn's performance in real life so far this season.
I only started watching this channel from the Beta of FM20 and I love these series you're doing, can't wait to see how it goes
As king lynn fan I’m happy that is going on doing my own lynn save
Been a fan since st. Albans. Kev, i reckon a 4-1-2-1-2 gegenpress would be brilliant. Bring in 1 central defender, 1 central mid and 1 full back
Best football manager content online. Definitely starting a non league to legend save myself
Wow this is amazing! I am originally from Kings Lynn and to see somebody making a video on them is amazing! Thank you!
So happy we are back. Come on the linnets. Just a quick one. Warnock was sacked in November on my Leeds save due to bad handling of the clubs finances let’s hope that doesn’t happen to you
Excited to watch another NLTL, I'm sure it'll be as entertaining as ever. Especially enjoyed seeing you improve your tactics over the past few years.
Great intro, looks like you've got a really good team. I'd play 4-4-2, wing play, providing you can sign a RM that can cross. Then take advantage of the two big target men in the box and score goals galore from crosses and set pieces!
Look at the determination on your only decent winger and your star defender, the bug in full effect. Let's see what they get after the hotfix.
Playing along with The Rebels, Slough Town FC. Things are going... "ok". How can anyone possibly dislike this smh

Refreshing UA-cam for a few times and than realize there is a different time in England.
Thank you for your videos.
Nice to see my home town getting some attention ! Up the linnets
Been waiting for This Finally!

Looks like a quality team to start with this year. Personally I would go for the 4 2 4 you were already considering, always seems to do the job for me in non league.
Tottenham Son Heung-min is the top EPL scorer in the World Klass! Fm immediately reflects the increase in capability!!!
Rewatching this while I’m waiting for the new episodes
From property investment to Champions league
Currently on 3rd season with king's Lynn and top of league 2 after 28 games played. Won the vnn by 1pt over Kidderminster and flew through vnl winning the title with 109 points losing once. League 2 is more of a challenge as wage budgets etc and tougher teams but currently leading the way.
Love it Kev your assistant is definitely living in your street
Tiki taka and 5-2-3 has got me back to back promotions with Crewe on my save
Don't think I'm brave enough to do that in non-league!
Kings Lynn are playing some beautiful football, Those lads are something else this year
Hey keV I'm soon exited!!!! Let's go king Lynn!
Love the new intro, sounds exactly the same as The Regen Gaming podcast section transition lol
Woo! I moved near Kings Lynn a few months back. I'm buzzing for this seriesm
WOOOO HOOOOO
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
"WE ALL LOVE GASH WE ALL LOVE GASH" always chanted that at YCFC

🤣 all about those chairs.... nltl has taught me that chairs = wealth
I like your voice so I have subbed.
Also I’m able to play your videos at 2x speed and still understand you 👍🏼
Aaahhh! It's that time of year again. Good to have NLTL back for another run.
By the way, is it just me or is there still a weird drum beat at the end of the intro. I noticed it last year too.
It’s a ball being kicked!
Been looking forward to this. Let’s see if you can do what Ian Culverhouse is achieving with us at the moment 💙💛
if you get sacked in a relegation battle but do the double over Chester, i'd count that as a success.
I was curious about what a Linnet is. Obviously a bird , but looking up on Wiki....oooh!

Thanks for the code to get the game cheaper! Bought it, glad to support the channel its so fun watching these and I learn a lot.
Good luck Kev. I'm going to do my own NLTL save and see what happens...
My favourite series to watch!
I'm new here and I'm so happy that I discovered your channel
Yayyyyyyyyyyyy It's Here !!! Go for 4-4-2 with having these 2 up front and then 4-3-3 and look to bring in winger/inside forwards, incase one of the boys up top gets a long term injury
IMO affiliates are realistic enough! Certainly happen in real life
Not as formal contracts the way they are in game, at least in England. Unless the rules have changed, English clubs aren’t allowed a formal parent club.

I'm expected to have a top half finish and with 6 games remaining I am 3rd.
Watched Adam Marriott play at Lincoln a lot when he was there. Possibly the most technically gifted player we've ever had at Lincoln.
Ahhhhh this is needed after a day at school
HammyHD mmmmmm noice
5-3-2. Two full-backs, three centre backs, three centre backs and those two strikers. Fancy for non-league but if you're destined for the top you have to innovate.
I just liked and it got from 1.5 to 1.6 k.
Thats AWESOME
Been looking forward to this 😈🥴
David Noble... Legend.
Let’s get crazy. 4-1-3-2. Let’s give those two upfront plenty of support.
Narrow midfield Diamond or 4-3-1-2 probably suits the squad you have, but I'd say for NL North/South I'd sign wingers and play 4-4-2 or 4-2-4 with pushed up wingers
all the best mate...i love your channel mate
I'm taking Kings Lynn all the way to champions league glory this year. First season smashed the record points total. Simple 442 did it for me. Alfie Payne just far too good for that division! Good luck I will be following the journey.
Did you manage to keep him for the second season?
@@lollujo Unfortunately not. He went back and then had interest from Championship teams
Trials tend to need to be longer then 1 week to get a full picture of the player, just offer the max you can always terminate when not interested.
Never clicked on a video so fast
Big up Adam Marriott! Used to play at the mighty Royston!!!!
Nice to see Adam Richman is playing Football Manager
Ooooooh yesh!!! Happy new year everyone! :D
im dedicated to watch every single episode this year
Tyrell Warren is a really good player he started in the champions league for my shamrock rovers save last year
True Story Your assistant has played over 1000 games
That made my day spotted Wisbech on your Google maps
Woohoo I’ve been waiting for this
Jesus 30 mins already, 800 likes. Support is brilliant.
Paul bastock Debuted before i was born Kev
Looking at the side diamond or narrow looks best as the right side very weak
well there goes that save idea. Looking forward to watching this one.
LET'S GOOO!
btw like the video
Diamond could be good, wingers are ok but not the best. Definitely need a new LB
I've been so excited for this, cannot wait
Just watched all of kevs fm22, now starting this one!
Great looking save! Hope this progresses well :)
Idk y but I decided to get a data base that has up to the 10 division in English football , and I’m aiming for a long save , I am managing Black Country and their nick name is the stealers
Paul bastock is a Boston legend who lives in Boston- casual 45-1hour drive to Lynn
so it begins.....................
Diamond in the middle with 2 strikers and get a better right back and left back
HERE WE GOOOOOO YEAAHH
The owners of the houses watching this video thinking that you're gonna buy them
I’m a supporter of kings lynn they deserve to be in league 2
