  • Come along with me as I travel from Atlanta, GA to my tiny home in The Grove which is part of the Incredible Tiny Homes community in Newport, Tennessee. This visit of six days has been my longest to date as I continue to make improvements on my 8x 20 Incred-I-Box on Mulberry Tree Way. However, this visit I will have some fun in the area. I visit the Newport Recreational Center and check out all the amenities. I take a short trip down Industrial Road to visit the French Broad River. One morning, I played pickleball indoors at the Recreational Center. In addition, I made a short trip to Douglas Lake and visit the Swann Marina and the French Broad Baptist Church. With regards to my tiny home, I finally finished all the painting indoors and most of the outside. I ordered some blinds for my windows from Lowes and installed a Midea Window AC unit. It was a very successful visit as I get the home ready for full-time living.

I'm always surprised when many spend so much more on a mini-split when a window unit is really more than sufficient. I know you'll be glad once you get all settled.

Thank you for taking the time to show us around this beautiful area. When you get a chance would like to see more videos of things around rhe community and how far and long does it take to get there. Such as grocery stores, hospital, gas station, and restaurants you would recomend. Again, thank you so much.

The Mountain area, those lots you CAN own, correct? I heard they were 40k. And I know there is nothing left at the mountain. I'm just trying to see if he'll ever sell lots again. 40k is what I paid for my 3 acres wooded here in Texas, with ALL the utilities on it.

I've already commented on the color choices for the exterior, but I wanted to say that it is looking really nicely done! Also, Im wondering if you were there for the community get-together they recently held? Someone mentioned a homemade gnat trap that was effective, and we have problems with them here (CA),too. Since I don't live there, yet, I can't contact anyone but you because you've been kind enough to share your journey. Please don't go to any extra effort. We are not in danger of being overrun!
The videos are wonderful! 😊 A really nice glimpse of such a beautiful area and I really like the added information! I'm going to be looking for good day trips and Swann Marina and Douglas Lake look perfect. I've also recently renewed my love for dwarf (Nubian) goats and I'm hoping that one or more of the local farms is a dairy farm and will have access during kidding season.

They said to pour bleach down your drains, & Amanda said just putting bleach in a cup on the counter would kill them.
What I personally use, is alot of soapy water in a bowl, & they fly into it & drown.
Randy said if you still are having gnat issues around the commode area, to let him know, because you shouldn't be & he'd take a look at it.

Also, I hope I haven't misrepresented myself - it wasn't my intention. I'm not in one of the communities yet. I've got a bit more time to work (and money to save) before I can buy my tiny home and move to Tennesee, but I'm working on it, and I believe it's the best plan out there for me!
