- Some of my favorite tools for the pottery studio aren't tools at all, but I couldn't have an enjoyable studio experience without them. These are some less conventional items I highly recommend.
At the time I made this video, I didn’t have affiliate links yet. But now that I have that set up, if you make a purchase with my Amazon links, it does help me out a little. :)

HardieBacker board: www.homedepot.com/p/James-Har... - Навчання та стиль
Thanks for coming back! Hopefully we start feeling less awkward on camera, I know the feeling lol. Just started my own pottery channel and looking at the actual lense is so hard, especially filming on a phone lol.
Hair clips...who knew? Since I cut my hair they have had no mission or meaning. Now they have a second career!
Love your videos. Really glad to put a person with the art!
My hair is short more often than not, so I feel ya. 😆
These are some great tips/“tools”. I should definitely get one of those little laptop tables!
Wooo! Thanks Katie!! Glad it was helpful. 😁
Glad you are back!! Your demeanor is so welcoming.
Thank you!! That makes my day! ☺️
Great tips. Going to use my hair clips in the studio now . Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
This is great. Thanks for posting, Lori!
Glad you enjoyed it Jennifer! ☺️
i have watched your other videos and enjoyed both. i will be converting my tabletop to your suggestion of Hardie backer board so thanks for a very good tip. id like to comment that you look much younger than i had imagined and that you're a cutie as well.
Thanks Bill! Glad to hear you found the video useful! And I’m older than I look! And feel. And sound. 🤣🤪
These are great tips and tools. Also, you are hilarious.
Thanks Andrea! Glad to have helped, and make you giggle. 😄
Love the tote bag! 🍦🍦
That tote bag is the sign of a serious artist.
Don’t y’all know it! 😄🍦 FYITF!
Loved your video....... how do you cut the hardibacker board ... do you use a power tool or cut by hand saw? Thanks!
Thanks! A circular saw was used to cut ours. You may need a masonry blade for it. My studio mate said she was also able to use a really sharp box cutter knife to score and snap it, but that’s a lot harder to do.
Theres a dude at the studio who uses the bisque kilns as his mug warmer. BUT ALSO, if you had a Carter Mug by Fellow, the drink will keep hot for HOURS without the use of another tool. Its like a Hydroflask but for your coffee. Just saying!
Ill admit it here bc its a lowkey secret safe space LOL - despite all the handmade mugs I own, I typically drink from a carter mug bc of its ability to keep a drink hot for hours. 🤫
Ha! We’ve made pizza in the kiln in undergrad. 🤣
I know of the mugs that heat your coffee, but then I can’t use a handmade mug. 😅
My compromise is taking a handmade mug and pouring my hot bevy from Carter to handmade, so I can enjoy all 😇
@@cbeceramics No judgement here, girl! 😆 I periodically use a Starbucks thermos, haha.
