Hello Walkers, for today's 4K video, we will walk inside the once spanish fortress to becoming the most famous tourist spot in Manila, Philippines, the Intramuros. Intramuros is a historic walled area within the city of Manila, Philippines. It is rich in history and cultural heritage, making it a popular destination for tourists. A walking tour of Intramuros allows you to explore the cobblestone streets, visit well-preserved Spanish colonial-era buildings, and learn about the city's past.
1. Fort Santiago: Located at the entrance of Intramuros, Fort Santiago is a significant historical landmark. Explore the fort's dungeons, walk along the ramparts, and visit the Rizal Shrine, dedicated to the Philippine national hero, Jose Rizal.
2. Plaza Roma: Head to Plaza Roma, the central square of Intramuros. It features a fountain and a statue of King Charles IV of Spain. Take a moment to relax and absorb the surroundings.
3. Manila Cathedral: Walk to the Manila Cathedral, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. The cathedral has undergone several reconstructions but still showcases its grandeur. Step inside to admire the intricate stained glass windows and beautiful altar.
