Hip Flexor Active Flexibility Drill

- This is a great exercise to develop the glute & hip flexor strength for a beautiful back leg in a split!
-Put ankle weight(s) on 1 ankle
-Lay on a bench
-Make sure to keep low back on the bench
-Variation 1: hold knee into chest
-Variation 2: actively pull leg into chest with quad, hip flexor and gently help from arms
-Lift the working leg up to parallel & hold 5 seconds, then squeeze the glute to drop the heel towards the floor & hold for 5 seconds.
✨Repeat 3-10 times.
✨Do both sides!
✨Keep leg really straight
