40:05 i will say, you never want the pump below the aio, it will severely age it and could even kill it, you always want the pump/tubes to be above the aio, other than that everything is incredibly smooth and to the point, incredible job
As long as the connectors for the Radiator are above the CPU block (which usually houses the pump) you are perfectly fine. You just never want the PUMP (which again, is the CPU block) to be above the tubes. AIO stands for "All in One" and is the name for the whole cooling system.
@@P84y Not exactly. You said you never want te pump below the AIO. You probably meant to say radiator instead of AIO. Besides that Jamesmartin said that you want to have the radiator above the CPU block. That is the opposite of what you said.
@@boukeelsinghorst4848 Tubes should always be above the block... that's the easiest way to remember. You want the pump to push everything through and not over work
You want the pump below the intake/outtake of the radiator to prevent air from getting trapped in the pump which causes pumps to fail quicker. Most pumps are located in the cpu cooler, but some manufacturers have gone their own way from Asetek (who owns the patent) and either move the pump into the radiator or it's inline in the lines. Enermax used to have the pump inline roughly around the inlet/outlet of the radiator. I actually am replacing my Enermax AOI because the pump stopped working. This is the only issue I have with the NZXT AIO, lack of knowing if the pump is working. It would be cool if they had a setting that showed the pump flowing in the screen (maybe they do and no one has said anything about it), but the Enermax had a wheel in the cooler window that spun when the pump was on. It's why I saw yesterday that it had stopped yet the PC was running without the pump. Had my heart pumping really hard since I saw that after playing Stalker 2 for 5 hours.
Just wanted to say a massive thank you. I’ve followed along with this build basically the whole way and have enjoyed every minute. Still a couple of pieces that I’m waiting on but did the first test tonight and it look stunning! Thank you again.

Okay, question. So I'm doing a VERY similar pc build this week and using Lian Li fans and the same case. Trying to finalize the fan orientations/air flow. Am I correct in seeing that there are 6 intake fans (bottom and radiator fans) with the other 4 being exhaust fans? Is there a reason for this? My understanding was that you should have negative air pressure inside the case (more air going out than coming in) to increase overall new air flow through the PC and decrease warm air just circulating around with no place to go. I haven't built a PC in about 10 years so I must admit it feels like I'm starting from scratch again so any suggestions would be appreciated. I was thinking about having the bottom be intake and then the top, side, and rear fans be exhaust. Ideally, I'd like to have 4 intake/6 exhaust, but with the way this case is set up, it'd be 3 intake/7 exhaust which seems TOO negative. Would I be able to adjust the fan speed and lower the intake fan speeds with the video's fan orientation to create neutral or negative air pressure? I'm probably overthinking this, but I just don't know lol. Thanks!
I’m no expert when it comes to the air pressure, but the majority of builds use the same concept, the reasoning is you want cold air from bottom and side coming in, and blowing the hot air from the top and rear. This cools all your components from bottom up. Another reason too is that it also prevents dust build up in the PC. And finally, YES you can adjust the airflow on each set of fans independently to create that positive, negative, or neutral airflow. I leave them all running the same, but I don’t honestly know if that is the most optimal, I’ll have to look into it
Sir since you are using one lianli controller to control all fans power and rgb so one connection from psu(sata) is enough to run these fans with power and light? Nzxt claim its controller can handle 9 fans through splitter so same goes for nzxt one controller and one psu (sata connection ) for power?
Bro I’m almost building this exact pc tomorrow night lol. Same gpu and case at least 😂. Oh and the cpu cooler. Slightly different specs. Dope video !!!

oh man i love this guy! im trying to build my first pc almost exactly like your! for CPU i will use intel i7 core 14700K, asus rog strix 4070 Ti Super :)
I personally haven't tried the flow, but since it doesn't have that piece, you should be able to attach the fans right on top or it might have a removable tray
You’re intaking cold air, which means the radiator liquid would be cooler versus having radiator set to exhaust which pushes hot air out. The difference is very minimal though
I should've put it on this video since it did sag a little bit. If you get a ROG STRIX card, it comes with it in the box, other wise you can look up : anti-sag bracket and you'll see the pillar/pen style. Wait where u get the controller for the strimmer cables?
the motherboard strimmer should have the controller
@@FIREWOLFTECH ahhh makes sense, my nearest micro center didint have that one and only the gpu one lol, fucked up my build so thats gonna have to wait, thank you for the info
@@DiegoRodriguez-ru5if you can always add the strimmers later if you want to get things up and running. Hope the build ends up great !
@@FIREWOLFTECHthanks so much, im sorry for bothering and going off topic but what case would you recommend if i need space? So i was trying to do your build but with a suprim liquid 4090 and its not a good fit lmao it all went well till the gpu lol
Does using a 4080 require any change to the setup?
Are you using the nzxt hub only for the aio pump?
can this case also hold hdd? i have two ssds and two hdds
Hey question, would this build still support a sound card? At least if the GPU mount isn’t modified
Depending on the width of the GPU, you should be able to fit a sound card if it’s horizontally mounted instead of vertical
@ gotcha, thank you for replying. Great video!!
Thanks 🔥
Personally, if able to see the top of the case, i’d have put reverse blades there too, but it’s a beautiful build, inspiring guide.
That would also look great ! Me personally I like the inside to all look uniform; but if I had this PC on the floor, reverse would be FIRE 🔥
Can i use the 7800x3d in this build???or what else can i use other than the 7900..
the AM5 bracket elecgear on amazon with silicon is good ?
That last plug in the controller box for lian li does that go to a ARGB and the other small cable to the fan header?
Yes, but that’s only if you want the motherboard to control the fans
Nzxt claim its controller can handle 9 fans through splitter so same goes for nzxt one controller and one psu (sata connection ) for power?
what screwdriver head do i need for the case
Bro I’m almost building this exact pc tomorrow night lol. Same gpu and case at least 😂. Oh and the cpu cooler. Slightly different specs. Dope video !!!
I lied though. I have the ti super… but yeah. Dope build brother! I can’t wait to build mine tomorrow night. Crazy it’s so similar haha.
Awesome 🔥 Hopefully you have it built already ! H9 elite is beautiful 🤩
Yeah man let me know how it went !
@@FIREWOLFTECH it went great !!! I will try and post a video on my yt. I just started posting gaming clips again! Nothing special. But it looks so nice man. Thank you for this video. It helped me a lot with the case. Very informative. I watched the whole thing twice haha.
@@FIREWOLFTECH after looking back at it I need those fans… they are so nasty. And my fans sit along the black line around the edge. How does yours sit above that black part ?
oh man i love this guy! im trying to build my first pc almost exactly like your! for CPU i will use intel i7 core 14700K, asus rog strix 4070 Ti Super :)
Can you use all reverse blade fans?
So do I buy the kraken cooler then replace the fans or can I just buy the radiator?
You could just buy the radiator if you can, since you’ll be replacing the fans that come in the kraken elite
@@FIREWOLFTECH I need help, I'm in doubt between the H9 Flow and the Lian Li Evo11 which would be better in your opinion, please elaborate
The h9 flow dosnt cone with that acrylic pice for the fans what do I use this is my first time building
I personally haven't tried the flow, but since it doesn't have that piece, you should be able to attach the fans right on top or it might have a removable tray
How can a radiator be set to intake? You’re in taking air heated by the CPU.
You’re intaking cold air, which means the radiator liquid would be cooler versus having radiator set to exhaust which pushes hot air out.
The difference is very minimal though
Why is the radiator hose above pump level ?
Whats your anti sag prior the vertical mounted option? the small pen type anti sag for gpu? what was it? definitely need that! thanks
I should've put it on this video since it did sag a little bit. If you get a ROG STRIX card, it comes with it in the box, other wise you can look up : anti-sag bracket and you'll see the pillar/pen style. If you look at my other H9 Elite video : ua-cam.com/video/h3jfhlMUxoo/v-deo.html I have one there
