Being honest: I LOVED the last verse (wasn't on the album,) but the album version of the song is SO MUCH better than the video version. Whoever that was scratching at the end of the album version while the beat rode out made it SO FUNKY. This version of the song is just too busy for my tastes, but the visuals are cool and it's always fun to see Heavy & Trouble T-Roy in their element.
The album version is ultimately better, but the Audio sonics are Not there, like they should be. It sounds more low-budget, but that's what works, plus it has a heavier reggae Baseline. But hands down the remix definitely has the better singers. The way the original singer sounds it's laughable, sound like she in somebody's bathroom. Plus she's not a good singer.
Heavy D made big dudes feel confident about themselves. I’m a big guy myself weighing in at about 280. He dressed well too. At a time when most rappers wore tracksuits and fat gold chains and some wore Starter jackets. He was into wearing suits. He not only made it cool to be a big guy but he made it cool for big guys to dress fly as well. Both him and Biggie made it cool for big men to dress fly. Plus he was one of many sex symbols in rap music at the time alongside LL Cool J and Big Daddy Kane. This was at a time when rap music was becoming more hardcore but some rappers wanted to be different. Btw I’m only 16 going on 17 years old and I listen to this type of music. RIP to both Heavy D and Trouble T-Roy
