No, wrestling fans are just so impatient and whine whenever something they want to happen doesn’t happen immediately and seem to forget it’s apart of a bigger story… what’s bigger for Liv? Her winning a battle Royal for the belt or her finally beating Becky 1 on 1 for the belt.. think about it
also the draft is next week, becky is a safer bet and probably falls into their future plans way better as a face having the title.
And she’s still on her book tour, so her showing up to places with the belt is some good publicity

Just want to jump in and say I 100 percent agree with Becky as well. It would be meaningless for anyone else to win it in a battle royal. Becky could be a nice transition champion to help put liv over bigger down the line.
@sonicluis553 exactly. Everyone's mad now but if someone else won it for the first time ever they would say "lack luster" or "no story" or some other random bs. This is a good way to build a story and have her drop it later

I might be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure Liv's only fully clean championship match win was against Shayna Baszler at the first Clash at the Castle. So her repeating that win by beating Becky for the championship in Glasgow just makes a whole lot of sense.
Right, and that's also why handing the title to her would be a mistake. Beating someone like Becky for it will do wonders for Liv's character and will legitimise her as someone who deserves the belt.
I agree but tbh I would rather have them just wait until rhea is cleared and have the Liv/Rhea feud. I really don't wanna see Becky vs. Liv
To me becky was the most credible to win, as much as people say they want to put the title on someone new, fans would be pissed if they put it on someone random... I wanted liv to win because I'm super invested in the liv/rhea feud but becky makes sense... Chelsea I think would have been the only other one that people would have accepted as a gimmick win... I get people maybe being upset their favorite didnt win but the death threats towards becky are unhinged
Couple weeks before they introduced the Women's Tag Team titles you'd see signs in that crowd that said "We want Women's Tag Titles'" or something like that, & on the last Raw I saw a crowd sign that said "We want more Women's titles." Coincidence? Maybe. Hotel? Trivago.
I've been calling for it for ages. Now that NXT is getting one I think whichever brand doesn't have the women's tag champions is getting a midcard title.

I gotta say I don't care at all about hook losing the ftw title. It's been an anchor for hook for months now, it holds him back way more than it helps him. Aew also could just use less belts overall, I'm hoping jericho throws it away during this run and they just get rid of it

The other reason the titles shouldnt move is the naming scheme would end up confusing. Like if Raw had the WWE Champion, Women's World Champion, and WWE tag team champions while SD has the World Champion, WWE Women's Champion, and World Tag Team Champions, people would get the names of the titles confused
I agree with Dante, Nakamura to NXT would be great. I get what John is saying that he’s older and is more successful than some of the recent main roster nxt people like Corbin, but I think that is actually a reason he would be even more valuable to the brand. Nxt is really pushing to be the third brand and having a big name guy like Nakamura could help move that along. Also, there have been a lot of rumours of NJPW guys coming to NXT and I think having them work with Nakamura would be so valuable. Guilia is already there and she would definitely benefit from Nakamuras experience. For Shinsuke too, he’s hit a roadblock on the main roster and needs a bit of a restart. Him doing these cinematic promos as a top heel on NXT would be awesome.

Becky winning fresh off Rhea relinquishing makes perfect sense. They just had Becky solidly Rhea as the dominant woman on Raw. She’s hurt, get the person who put her over to put someone else over until Rhea comes back.

They’re not getting rid of the current WWE title. It matches the women’s title and it has a Giant WWE logo on it which is good for marketing.
Becky took the “charlotte” role for transitional titles since CF is out. From what i have heard over the years from YT and podcasts, the first thing i think was said after Liv was brought up was “then what?”
I don't think Liv should've won it, but I do think they should've at least had Rhea or Rhea's theme play to distract her or something. Having Becky win is the smart, safe move leading into Backlash.
Main roster is WAY to stacked so Shinsuke going to nxt would be good. Like Corbin he can rebuild himself and be a threat again down the line.

I get people want more from Nakamura but he has publicly said multiple times in interviews that he went to wwe because he did everything in Japan and his body is hurting and more or less just wants to make decent money and living for the family and just likes to surf

Definitely not. The last time Liv held the championship, the fans turned on her, so the WWE had to use someone who is a proven main eventer like Becky.
Liv isn't at that level yet. She needs a steady push and more development to get her to main event status.

Liv wouldn't really have anyone to work with. Becky is really the only face on Raw and it makes sense to make Liv look good before she takes it -- its all just a stall to get to Rhea v Liv anyway

Liv's first title reign made her seem like a fluke champion because of the cash-in, her fluke win at SummerSlam, and she instantly dropped the belt back to Ronda. If Liv won the battle royal, it'll seem like she can't get the job done in an actual match.
I think Liv should lose against Becky at Backlash and finally snap and fully turn heel. Then she beats Becky for title in their rematch. It'll make Liv a bigger star because she got a win over an established star instead of winning it in a battle royal where she didn't need to pin anyone.
There was no reason for Liv to win because she is being built up as a dangerous heel after a long period of bad booking. Becky is going to be taking time off anyway, so now Becky got to pad an extra run onto her hall of fame career and have a quick feud with Liv where Liv "injures" her just like she did Rhea and take the belt.
This sets Liv up as a massive heel off of taking out 2 of the most over women in the history of the business and automatically gives her feuds when either of them come back.... including Rhea coming back as a mega baby face.
They should’ve just done a tournament and crown a new womens champ at backlash. Make that Becky v Liv and have Liv win. I hate the padding of championship numbers.

My fandom of Becky Lynch has been indifferent ever since she came back. I want to like her, but the circumstances make it hard to do so. I don't like that she won the title, however, I'm keeping my mind open about it. I don't want to hate her, but she wins too much.
She wins too much even though she hasn’t been in the main title scene since 2022 and has the same amount of titles wins as Sasha banks who fans constantly say is underrated and deserves more title opportunities

The optimistic side of me wants to believe that they gave Becky the belt here because they want to give it to Liv, but they want it to be more special than, "You got the belt because Rhea had to vacate it." The other side of me is afraid that they just don't give a fuck about Liv, and they only keep her around because she makes things unpredictable. Don't forget that they buried Liv's first title run at Summerslam 2022, which was Liv's first PLE as world champion and Paul's first PLE as head of creative.
It's obvious that Triple H did not treat Liv right, BUT, He may be doing justice this time with a long term build. Liv will be champ. I promise

They need to give the title reign legitimacy. If they put it on Liv then the impression would always be that she only has it because Rhea had to vacate it.

Also, the fact it was decided by a battle royal a week after Rhea vacated it really shows a lack of respect for the belt. It definitely felt like the belt doesn't matter IMO.
