At least a 100 Newton Life Jacket if you are a Weak or Non Swimmer. Will keep you afloat without the need to swim and has a collar to keep your head out of the water. I recommend the Crewsaver Spiral 100, I wear one for SUP and sit on top kayaking, comes in Children's and Adult sizes. (You can actually see one hanging up in this video, pause at 2:33 , It's the Yellow one hanging up). They also come in an Orange colour. Hope this helps. Thanks James
i appreciated this video. I am very new to all of this and will be taking my inflatable dingy to the ocean, so I bough 2 life jackets Mustang Survival, type 111PFD is good for offshore fishing ???
Seem like an odd market. From my research the most sought after feature is does it look good. To my my mind, everyone should be considered a none swimmer as you may be incapacitated in some way. And from the tests I've seen of buoyancy aids, almost all of them won't flip you on your back, will keep your face in the water, and won't save your life, whereas life jackets will almost always flip you on your back. No brainer to me, get a life jacket.
