You can't Just drop a perfect analysis like its nothing, This vid was so well done, It feels Natural, my favorite messages from the series has to be the memes and Revenge. The memes because they changed my way of viewing the world, I finally found my Place in my Life, i knew what i wanted to do, pass on my existence and the One of my loved ones to everyone. Memes are what makes peaple, if we pass the right memes we can create the best future For the next generations, It makes me Dream and feel more than what i once was. Revenge on the other hand Is pretty important and very underrated. In the search of Revenge peaple lose themself and their soul in the process, Just look at Venom and the diamond dogs, fuck just look at the whole cast of V. The best part of Revenge Is the fact that the FOB community of V Is obsessed by It, they want retalietion For their friends Who got invaded or For themself, and they enter an endless loop where they kill and kidnap enemy players staff, steal resources, hunt nukes that they either keep or dispose of. One FOB attack leads to a Revenge attempt, wich goes on and on. Those players alone are the embodiment of V, im not a FOB player but i find beatifull how the community Is part of One of the main message of V. This saga has a lot of Deep meanings and they are all awesome, i Just wanted to point out my 2 favorites, thanks For the wonderful video mate. Have a good one
👍 you always put things into great perspective brother, love that thought about the idea of "revenge" and the use of fobs on the multiplayer section, I'm glad you brought that up for real, and to think that was a test Hideo kojima set up on purpose to test humanity, most of the mgs fans choose the path of disarmament, very telling
The morpho butterfly displayed in this video's thumbnail alone along with Paz Ortega Andrade + timestamps 16:18, 26:51 and 30:13 in particular, may also cause some "conflicts" of massive magnitude with the viewer's "internal timeline" "for a special reason."
Great video, but I have a major criticism. In my opinion I think you really missed the mark on MGSV. Having played the game several times the theme that sticks to my mind isn’t war, pain, loss, those things are certainly apart of the equation but MGSV is a game about communication. More specifically language or speech. I’ll make some points and then explain why how I think it ties together with the overarching story. Venom doesn’t talk much, Snake in every iteration has always been very chatty, kind of snarky and unafraid to have philosophical dialogue with friends and enemies. Venom is practically mute, he isn’t even voice by David Hayter, they sprang for a Hollywood actor to take up the role and then barely have him say anything. This is intentional. Quiet literally has to stay mute or she’ll die and kill others around her, the reason why will come up later. Also her name is Quiet. Code Talker is the same in the sense that the name says a lot about the character. A Navajo code breaker from WW2 who helps create a virus that attacks language. That’s a man who’s job it was to decider fake language and later used his knowledge of code speech to help make the aforementioned virus. Cypher, the organization that is essentially the first iteration of the Patriots as we would come to know them are the main shadowy organization behind the events of MGSV, a cypher is another type of code and can essentially be broken into language. The virus mentioned before attacks certain languages and the game makes sure you know how absolutely harrowing that prospect is. Making you go through your entire base personnel and quarantine those who speak Kikongo. There are even certain recruits who will teach other personnel the language, potentially making even more of your staff sick and if you wait too long, dead. The second outbreak where you have to euthanize the entire quarantine platform is probably the game at its darkest and the sickness itself is almost the largest plot thread in the game. Volgin and Mantis do not talk, Volgin isn’t really even known to be fully living but he too had a lot to say the last time we saw him in MGS3 and Mantis will eventually be a big talker. Same goes for Eli. Interpreters are absolutely essential to recruit, Russian, Urdu, Pashto, Afrikaans, Kikongo. So learning to communicate in languages effects the game directly by giving you better information about your objective. So why is language so important and why do I think it’s the main theme of the game? Well I believe it’s a testament to how language and war are so inextricably linked. All of those who follow in the Boss’s path are tied to war. It’s their curse and in war, communication is often either used as a weapon, poorly utilized, outright ignored or used as propaganda. Just for two real world examples, WW1 and it’s tremendously awful aftermath could have been, if not avoided then at least mitigated if all of the opposing sides would have effectively used communication. Talked to each other. That lack of speaking in the wake of that war caused empires to fall, the Tsar of Russia refused to listen to what his people were saying and he paid the price. My other example probably hits closer to home for Kojima, if Japan would have put aside their pride and imagined pseudo prophetic national aspirations and listened to what the world was saying, maybe the bombing of Hiroshima could have been avoided. If Japan had communicated more clearly and/or the United States would have been in the mood to listen and reciprocate then maybe it would have rendered bombing Nagasaki pointless. So imagine a world where language during uncertain times isn’t just poorly utilized, but a world where your entire language group could be given the sentence of genocide simply for speaking. That’s the hell that MGSV asks you to consider. Not a nuclear apocalypse but a vocal one. There is more to it than that and I’m sure someone could comb through everything and fine many more examples and more coherent connections, but it’s something I definitely think is worth exploring.
brilliant stuff its definitely a heavy theme that gets overlooked, even though it is a central part of the narrative, language, communication, that over time english has become the most dominant in the world, race & an revenge are the central themes in mgsv, as confirmed by kojima san himself. but communication plays big part within them themes as you say, they mirror each other, since the beginning of time, humans communicated in other ways, but over time language has been used to control a person, an identity, the nature of communication, can be "Orwellian" to control your choice of words, the word police, words that kill in the context of "war", words that people use so much to depend on to survive, also causes them destruction, Generation by generation, pronunciations evolve, new words are borrowed or invented, the meaning of old words drifts, and morphology develops or decays the "global lingua franca" big brother zero
I think the old motherbase soldiers from phantom pain were just part of venom’s imagination and his hallucinations like how Paz was especially since she’s able to interact with the mother base pictures you get from them. Also they wouldn’t be able to survive 9 years in the wilderness without any survival gear or weapons as well and they act a lot like the zombies when skull unit is around.

Accidentally subscribed 😂 and I’m glad I did. I’m loving the content.
the symbols, a weapon to encourage replaying the series
I'll always love and appreciate the usage of Gran Turismo 5 OST's. Amazing job on every video!
Amazing work Boss
Hideo Kojima is dissecting the human psyche to help us understand life from our genetic makeup to finding the meaning of peace.
I want to know what drugs he was on when he wrote these games. Clearly they helped.

Great video man
I feel like there's more to the Jesus and Christianity symbolism across the series. Great Video!!!
Compassion SORROW?, JOY? THE BOSS?

Hey!❤
❤😊
It's not a secret
Morpho in MGSV has extra layers. It could be short for morphology, which deals with words, a major theme of V
