I would’ve written a fast paced CHUGGACHUGGACHUGGA with a quick tempo and rhythmic chugging… and it would’ve been totally wrong. This smooth jazz murder mystery number is simply brilliant. How much of the finished PDF were you able to read before you got to work? Did Logan mostly just give you a few notes to start with, or did you get to see any art, NPCs, etc - to help inspire you even further?
Soooo...the final piece you're hearing is like the fourth iteration of the track. The first two were more upbeat, kinda like what you were describing...but they just weren't sitting right. The third version was closer to what you're hearing now, and came about after talking with Logan a bit more about the tavern and the vibe. As for what I had to go off of, Logan wrote down a sentence or two for each tavern with what he had in mind, and he sent me the working taverns doc so I could read through them and get my own ideas.
What a fantastic track for an incredible set. I was also wondering, can your songs be used during Twitch streams? (with credit given of course)
Thanks so much! And of course you can use the music for Twitch streams! I didn't upload any of the music to Content ID systems, so it shouldn't get flagged for any copyright problems. It should be a part of Twitch Soundtrack as well, but not really sure how that works or if you can search for individual tracks on it yet.
