These last three games we beat ourselves not holding onto the ball and failing to catch the ball Bryce has always been a great quarterback he just needed a coach to figure out how to coach him Canales finally caught up to Bryce
most nfl fans, like the people on reddit, are dumb as bricks when it comes to the sport. they only follow for the drama. you can't fault them though, no one said you had to be smart to be a football fan.
Back in the early 2000 and in the 90s quarterbacks would actually sit for at least one year if not a couple years before they were inserted into the starting roll. I have and always will be a fan of not starting most of these kids coming out of college.
I think legette will have to monitor his game after Mike Williams. In the sense that Mike makes his cuts on different feet with unorthodox timing and almost always ends up in positions where his back is to a db and the db has to get through his frame to make a play. I think legette and mike have sneaky strides in the sense that when you think you have them covered on deeper routes…they can open up their stride and pull away from you. I think picking up on route savviness and understanding what a db fears when lined up against legette will help him tremendously. Pair that wit Bryce’s aiming and anticipation could result in something great. I still want another receiver though depending on how well Coker plays and develops
Check this out Steve They say our defense is trash We sack Patty...Baker...Hurts 4-5 times A couple int's each game Shut down Sequan Getting coaches fired Making teams implode from within... Of course, you would like XL to break tackles the same way DJ Moore did. On that dropped TD, Legette did everything right, which is why he has 5 yards of separation in the first place. Also, him and Bryce seem to have a nice connection on comeback routes.
@@EuphoriaInAll Valid point. At times he looks like he's running recklessly, as opposed to other receivers who have a clean stride. A lot of these things are fixable, but it will take some time. On a side note, his physicality and run blocking are second to none on this team.
Ladd was the right pick in 2024. I will never take a WR who catches body first (X). Put X at RB/flanker. Coker is the #1 receiver for Carolina next season.
I think watching from the sideline made him see that he was hurrying for no reason. The line was so bad last year, that even on a subconscious level he thought he Had TO RUSH the ball out of his hand. Seeing Dalton remain upright, and having time to see the field might have really helped his outlook on the improvement of his line
He only started 2 yrs at bama. I’ve seen every game many times. He’s awesome. Dude is a gamer. Never high never low. Saw him play one game in high school and I knew he’d be great. Doesn’t wanna run really . Just wants to scramble to make more time to find a receiver.
If it wasn't for missed field goals/PATs, bad drops and worse refereeing the Panthers legitimately would have beat the Chiefs, Eagles and Buccaneers. Granted all that stuff are an unfortunate reality of football so no excuses for the losses but it's a fact that Bryce has kept us in games and put us in positions to win against super bowl contenders, and that's with a borderline historically bad run defense. There are still some issues to work out but he's building a solid foundation to be a franchise QB.
I think he's finally trusting his O-line, and WRs and getting the ball out much quicker now. I feel like it just took him a little bit of time to work on and adjust to how much faster his WRs are, and the NFL game is compared to college. It seems like before he was holding the ball and just getting creamed back there and it started taking its toll on him and his psyche. He's like a whole different person out there now.
His rookie season was a nightmare, with little to no development and PTSD from 62 sacks and no support. Seeing his growth and maturation after what he’s been through and being benched earlier this season has been amazing to watch.
When you take into account that Bryce was thrown into the fire from Day One despite prolly not really beating out Andy Dalton for QB1 spot, the stretch where he was benched was much needed; other than Dan Marino and Ben Roethlisberger, no QB has come into the league and killed it from Day One and then followed up with a great second year (CJ Stroud is the latest victim to fall here); they either get better in Year 2 or 3 or whatever and then rise from there. Bryce still has ways to go, but he's now shown enuf that CAR can see what they DON'T have at other positions and properly address them. He is a dude that plays better with better folks around him (not always easy to do), so once CAR upgrades the roster, you're looking at a future Pro Bowler, for sure.
Hey Steve. What is Xavier doing wrong when he is not catching some of these passes that are on the money? Is he trying to catch with his body and not his hands or what is it?
If we could get Steve Smith Sr. Out of retirement... We might have an offense. Steve embodied Carolina football. Aggressive, mean, dominate, winning is expected... Wreck your dreams is the goal. My kids will watch Steve Smith Sr. When I teach them what football is.
Bryce definitely shut me up. It's these last 2 weeks that have me convinced, the NY and KC game were fun to watch, but NY stinks and KC followed that game up nearly losing to Vegas. And while his numbers haven't been great I have to remember arguing on Cam's behalf that drops were hurting his numbers. Bryce is decisive, he's moving in and out of the pocket in ways he didn't before and his confidence (body language) makes you think that 3 and outs are not going to be consistent anymore.
