Great channel. I have one critic. Can you please play the whole tune at a medium pace at the end as that would make for an easy play along wrap up. Also any suggestions about when to add those drones and double strings to give the fiddle sound?
Hello! If you are interested in a full play-along, I have several older tutorials that include this for each tune. As for double stops with Leather Britches, I typically add them at the beginning of the A part during the string crossings, using the string below the melody string as a drone. Hope that helps!
so .. when you play it at the start, it sounds awesome, but I don't see how you get from slow play sound, which seems totally different to a smooth and faster sound. The B part has always seemed to clash with the A part
Hi Edward - If I’m understanding you correctly, you’re wanting to know how to go from playing this tune slowly to playing it at more of a “performance” tempo. It’s necessary to start slow when you are learning a tune, which is why I present each phrase in this way. It’s up to you to practice and gradually increase the tempo as you become more comfortable with the tune. Hope this helps.
