  • For many years Mark Verbos has been making a range of synthesizer modules in Eurorack format. His modules are famous for their Buchla heritage and unparalleled look. On the other hand Mark is also a live performer, a music producer/engineer and music equipment technician with 20 years of experience. He is known to the synth community for his work with vintage Buchla systems as well as custom modules that work with them. His designs are focused on discrete transistor circuits, hardware CMOS logic and various vintage electronics design techniques, however they are presented with an understanding of how modular gear is used by this generation.
This concert was presented by Bitwig Studio.

That was, for me, the hottest performance on the entire superbooth 23

I've been waiting for this video, too. The sound system was very nice and you'd feel the movement of the bass lines!

i wanted to like it but this is just not impressive. i can hear the devotees sing the praises. if this was playing at a rave i would go home! if this is whats so good these days then those consuming it are cretans who have have a need to give themselves over to confusion and nonsense, and true talent and inspired composition is dead. i mean jeff mills did better than this and he stayed minimal. this is all i hear nowdays. its not compelling or groovy and theres no reason to hold these people as notorious. this is just gear. who cares about gear?

@@josequiros4286 i understand that claim. i believe as a consumer of music i can express m opinion. i do try to do good at music but im a child of the 80s and 90s i guess. music and standards were different then lol! is that made moot because im not a dominator? all modular performers need to embrace the art form known as 12 inch vinyl where you need to be concise and make a plan. they should embrace a DAW and apply their 'talent'

I mean it is techno after all, for my taste lacking a bit of groove as well, and def have heard better techno impros, but this has nice parts and could work for me at a rave. I think it absolutely has a place =D
I watching the mad scientist experiment =D

This set absolutely bangs on a big system.

@@alien_brainthere is infinite amount of concise music and people using daws, seems weird to go to the niche artists who do live improvisational music and complain its live improvisational music. no need to try to draw conclusions to all of music from one niche improvisational live performance.
