One more tank item would've been so good instead of boots. like randuin's omen/thornmail (they decreases attack speed too and volibear has a lot of attack speed), or titanic hydra for more health and bigger shield. but one big problem yi did in the fight was spamming his Q, which made him run out of ult. his E is the tank killer not Q.

BT is a jungle item and should be used only when jungling because you need smite for that. Ignite is crucial in this fight and should be used during the middle of the fight (NOT AT THE START because he gets lots of healing when he's low on health and if you used the beginning, you'll run out of ignite when you need it most. Spamming Q is not a good thing unless it is for gap closing or dodging a CC. But you can't really dodge Volibear's CC, neither can it be reduced by tenacity since it's a knock-up, which really sucks as he can use that ability multiple times with Shojin. However, even with that item, YI can beat Volibear.

@@voldor5282 Look at the passive of the dance of death, this passive takes your life, the item is very good if the other is not a tank with a fucking vest of thorns, since the passive of the vest of thorns is that it inflicts serious wounds which prevents the dance of death from healing you what it should, making the dance of death take away more life than it gives you
Items like Thornmail Moro and Mortal Reminder has Grievous wounds you'll get dmg by continuous AP by the meantime after getting hit by the effect and Grievous Cancels a percentage of heal effects so yeah death dance sucked and having steraks too seriously

I don't think Sterak's is good for Yi because the shield scales with your HP and Yi doesn't stack HP
