I remember watching this when I was 12 and was SO excited to graduate. It's crazy that that was before i even started high school. Now I'm graduating in a week and doing the valedictorian speech :) CLASS OF 2019 BABY!!

For the people who keep bringing up her face and how it's changed, I'm assuming your talking about the redness/acne/whatever. She stays up late, works hard, gets stressed, gets acne just like 98% of us do. And when we do or go through those things, changes will be made to our faces. None of us are perfect.
Michelle's achievements made me tear. She is such a hardworking woman. Through out her success she still finished her post secondary education. Truly inspiring. I had to pause many times during the doctor's speech just to tear. I want to make a difference in the world just like Michelle.

i don't want to be one of those girls hating on her but i just have to say that an honorary degree is a degree gifted to someone by a university, not a degree that is worked towards. in other words, she did not study for this doctorate, the college decided to grant her it

I love your videos when you sit and talk to the camera, even when just explaining the steps of a look. It's so much more personal than voice overs, and the video is so fun and entertaining when you don't take it too seriously :) also, your accomplishment is so inspiring. Your success is so unique because you've made a not so common art a business; all because of a camera and UA-cam! It really shows that you can be anything you want in life, yet opportunities like this aren't always planned. Unique opportunities and successes like yours are unexpected, yet so great. Just think of how much more you'll accomplish in 10 years :)

Michelle, you are honestly one of the most inspiring people I've ever come across and you truly inspire me more than anyone else (other than my mom lol). You've taught me that it's okay to have big dreams because in all honestly, I've realized that I only dream big. I was watching this video with my headphones on and my sister was watching a TV show when all of a sudden she started laughing at me because I didn't realize I was sobbing and crying almost silently. I think I was more emotional than Michelle herself ! It's so inspiring because she had a rough upbringing and I have seen her evolve and grow throughout the years, even if it's just through social media. Proud of you Michelle! ❤️

I too am a graduate. I graduate July 2014 not with honor but with so much hard work, lack of sleep and determination to have my bachelors degree in science of nursing. I'm a 21 year old girl living in a island of Paradise (Puerto Rico) looking for new dreams and inspirations. Nursing has opened my eyes to what lies ahead and what it takes to be a good person. Congratulations from heart what I saw was not only touching but very positive and teaching others. Only when we learn to live to love what we work we will feel extremely happy. At 9:12 you can see her eyeliner kinda smudged into her crease area after she curled her lashes with fingers and at 9:24 it magically dissapeared.. she could just told us anythng like "oh your eyeliner might smudge you can correct it up using makeup remover" or something.. she probably didnt because dont want to have bad impression on her smudgeproof eyeliner.. im not hating.. i love her.. im just saying :)

I cannot avoid crying watching your speech. Do you want to know the impact you've caused in my life? I'm Brazilian and I am this type of girl that there is nothing actually wrong. Never used glasses, or braces, and I'm not fat at all (I'm actually really skinny). If I complain with something wrong in myself, maybe is the color of my skin (cannot get tanned easily), my hair full of... hair, and oily skin. How pathetic that can sound next to hundreds of inspiring girls abroad? Still, I try to maintain a good mind, body and soul. I wish I had the chance to change the world. I'm almost 23, and what I've done so far? Not much, I guess. I've graduated in December 2012, in an awesome college, I've studied graphic design. I just love design, but how come I feel so unhappy with my life? I'm a shy girl and let me tell you, Michelle, the first time I've discovered you here on UA-cam, my life has changed somehow. Knowing that there is an inspiring girl outside, relieves me. It gives me strenght. When I started university, in 2009, I couldn't stop watching your videos; I felt myself so alone these years... I hope one day we both meet each other. I just love you the way you are, I just want to be your friend, I actually would love to be just..like..you! I'm still crying, lol. I don't know why but Michelle seemed a little different in this video she is always amazing but in this video she did so many quirky things and I loved them, sometimes I forget she isn't like a normal person and i LOVE that about her i love all the things she does that are "weird" cause I think they are awesome! soft as BUTTAA, and that face she made at 11.06 she is not "perfect" but she is she is so close I might as well just call her that forever!
