the strat sound sells me
The Mark I was very nice in that regard, I had a budget Vintage V6 strat (albeit a great specimen) with TexMex and it really killed through the Katana 50 and Katana Head. The searing high gain husky voiced solos leave a lot to be desired imho, although with some tweaking you can get there I suppose, just not out of the box. In that regard, THR10x was a real treat.
But for Clean / Crunchy and EVH stuff, Katanas are great. It just does not have that elastic and well rounded feel when doing more fusiony gainy stuff I suppose, at least not out of the box, that is. I really liked them, regret having sold the head as it affords nice practice volume through its speaker and you can hook it up to any compatible cabinet of choice. I guess you can find a nice warmer broken in speaker for those eerie leads.
Seeing James Ryan demo the Boss Katana is perfect, because James Ryan plays like a total Boss. Great demo.

I'm looking into buying a Katana Artist MkII but your demo on the 100 MkII is seriously the best Katana showcase demo I've seen on the internet. No bs straight to the point. Great video !!! So I'm thinking if the 100 Mk II sounds so awesome then the Artist should just take that to the next level.

For ambient stuff you want way shorter delay times, like < 150ms, you just want them there to fatten things up and add sustain :) Sick playing tho', love your gat selection too!
The mic has an extremely tight sound against the cab; proximity effect seems pronounced. It works for the clean tones but on the gain I wonder if it would sound better with the mic backed off
Nice VH licks, is that the saturday night special in the bridge of the wolfie? The Katana does just enough in the tone dept. If you're playing well and right in the pocket, it's pretty cool.
They're pretty damn great for the bucks. Yeah my Wolfie has the pair of Saturday Night Specials. Nice chunky tone.
How did you get the "classic clean strat sound" in the woodstock section, before changing to the octave effect? Sounds killer!
Check out 3:34- it shows the amp settings for that tone.
Is the foot switch mandatory for the live set to work ? I have the Katana 50 MK2 but when I'm loading the sweet blues set it doesn't sound like you at all :(
Nice demo, i have a marshall dsl40 with a be-od in front on clean channel thats barely keeping up in bar cover band. Do you think that the 100watt 1x12 will be loud enough to keep up or do I need a 2x12 100 watt. thanks for input

Hi I have been trying and the same thing, I have Katana tone studio ,but cant find a download link on tone central, Did you ever figure it out?
I have a Katana 100 212 MKII and a Ibanez RG550 but I get completely different tones with these presets. Where is the problem?
These patches sound awesome in the demo but sound very thin on the 50w Mkll in person.
i just got the boss 100 MKii and ive tried dialing in some sound patches on it exactly like the people on youtube video showed and sounded nothing like their sound? then i thought let me mic it through my pa in my studio and sounded much better!!!

Great package for the money , some decent sounds, but it's no GT-1000.
So how do you actually download these? Ive followed the link and it tells me to download boss software which i have. When i click tone library on the program I can only see 6 tones in the liveset? cant acess anyting else

There is no way to download Patches. You can only listen to them. Only BOSS STUDIO and drivers can be downloaded.
