You have one of the biggest most beautiful piggy hearts I have ever seen in my life. Always keep the vids coming. I need to see positiveness almost every day because in this cruel world, it is hard to find hearts like yours.
I'm sooo happy Timmy is more mobile and more comfortable. Timmy is so lucky to have you, you have a huge heart. The things we do for our piggies! I would do the same as you if my little Cutie was in that situation. I've told you all the medical issues I had the past couple months with my girl Cutie, I would of done anything possible to get her happy and healthy. Any amount of money to get her happy and healthy I would do because she's my baby! I'm happy to say Cutie is doing amazing, she is super healthy and happy as ever! Keep us updated on Timmy! Keep up the great videos!
I would suggest old pillow cases, you can change them every day and that way the feeding area can stay cleaner, or all over the top of the fleece and change it or wash it every day, clean cage! The pillow cases are always the easiest to find left over at yard sales, etc, etc. So they are also a cheaper fabric to use for sowing together and making more piggy blankets. And yes every 2-3 days is usually what we do at our house and we use fleece
Almost forgot: I use those dish drying mats in the area where they go potty. Both my girls do their business in the same corner , so I put one of those there to keep it dryer. My water bottle is a no drip bottle but you could also use one under the water bottle. Cheaper than weewee pads and they're super absorbent
In see some train them to go on a pad. I'm thinking of switching to fleece bc I'm either allergic to the pine or Timothy hay. I tried it w my others but they hated it lol
That's a great idea! I currently use older hand towels under my hay. They soak up the pee, keep the hay off the fleece and I can change them every few days when they get extra dirty. But I'm going to try the dish mats. Thanks!
I bought children wet the bed pads for kids who pee in there sleep. Then I put my fleece over it. It's cheaper and works very well when you don't have much money. You can get them at your local store. You can get reusible or throw away. The human pee pads are exactly the same as pets but way cheaper. They like to charge outrageously just because it's for a pet. The fleece I got from joanna fabric for 2 bucks a yard. Its very nice. Soft and absorbent although you should wash the fleece before use for extra absorbency. My piggies were having skin problems and I switch from shavings to fleece pads and wow what a difference. Plus the new fleece pads are way easier to clean for my pigs. Ps. I like the Guinea daf fleece it looks so nice for timmy. I wish you and all your piggies the best.
Watching you and Timmy snuggle was too freaking cute. And Mike is such a character! I'm thinking about buying a liner for the skinny pigs I am temporarily fostering. I am currently using the Kaytee paper bedding but I think they might like this better.
It's so heart warming to see how much affection and effort you put into caring for your guinea babies! I do hope this fleece does well for Timmy! On a side note, Mike looks almost exactly like my boy, Red-Eyes Sylver of the Dunedain. Or, y'know, just Syl. Mike's got more of a normal, rounder piggie face than Syl. My boy almost looks like a squirrel.
Hey Scotty, I use my guinea dad liner + pine bedding (only a really thin layer)+ heat pad it helps the guinea dad liner last longer between washes, since most of the pee gets absorbed by the pine
Is the pine kiln dried? Most pine shavings from the pet store are untreated and can be bad for your guinea pigs' respitory system. If you can't find kiln dried pine, aspen, carefresh or wood litter pellets are pretty good absorbent alternatives. (Sorry if this sounds preachy at all, I know it's annoying to have people educating you in the comments, I just thought it was important to bring up)
I make my own liners and find 3 sets perfect. Sweep daily, swap out liners twice a week. When I put the third one on, I launder the other 2. I used coroplast to make the kitchen. You might not want the 4th wall because of needing to step over. I did and covered the edge with a bit of framing material.I put a puppy pad and a layer of care fresh, then hay. I change it out when I change the rest of the bedding. Love your videos, especially the cuddle bits 💖
So great of Roger to donate for the fleece...they are very expensive...thank goodness I had money to get three of everything I had a few years ago because I don't have the cash on hand now!
Timmy is such a cutie! I keep thinking of trying fleece. I dont know if I will but GuineaDad would been great many years ago when one my previous pigs had huge mamory gland cyst removed and couldnt use bedding. We used towels since it was even before they sold the paper bedding.
I use fleece for my guinea pigs and use pretty much the same system as abby from skinnypigs1. i put a big liner down which i change once a week and put smaller pads in the kitchen and sleeping areas and change them when they start to get gross. Usually I can get a few days out of a small pad before I have to change it but i change them more often in hot weather when the pigs drink a lot of water and pee a lot. I use a little broom and dustpan and sweep the poops up once or twice a day depending on how messy the cage is. I'm glad to see Timmy is doing better! So cute when he was frolicking at the end of the vid.
I have 6 skinny pigs and two c&c cage setups that I use guineadad liners in. I personally think they are absolutely worth the money. Hay and poopies come off easily, machine washable, and super absorbent. The waterproof backing does as it says and I haven't had any quality issues. Just remember to tumble dry on low heat to avoid and shrinkage. Our piggies love the liners and the homemade ones I'm going to do will just help with quick spot cleaning in their hides/kitchen.
I think the liners are amazing, less effort than wood shavings and cheaper. As I'm an unemployed 21 year old, £100 spent on 2 once is better than spending £15 every 2-3 months
I'm not a paid endorser or anything but I've been using Guinedad liners since the summer. They're the first fleece liners I ever bought. Previously my piggies were using paper bedding. As you know paper bedding is pricey especially when you have larger cages. Guinedad liners really are good quality, sturdy and well made. They are stitched together very well. They Do Not come apart wash after wash. They're Extremely absorbent and the back is waterproof. I had to buy at least 2 so they always have a clean one to use while the other's in the wash. They are easy to spot clean, easy to wash. They are soft and warm. My piggies LOVE the pockets. And esthetically they make the cages look alot nicer than the paper bedding. I personally prefer to use fleece potty pads in the areas my piggies soil the most. I had to save up the money to buy the Guinedad liners, they're not cheap. But you get good quality for the price.
These liners are luxury! I'd get them for my buns but unfortunately I don't think they'd be tough enough to withstand my destructive fluff. I find woven cotton rugs work pretty good. They don't dry quickly, but they are absorbent, easy to sweep, washer and dryer friendly, chew resistent, and cheap. A decent alternative if you don't have them money for liners or have destructive critters.
A cardboard box works great for a "kitchen". I get them from the post office lol. I LOVE the Guinea Dad liners and so do my girls. It did take them a couple days to really figure out the pocket but they're my girls favorite sleeping spots now. Its a lot easier way to keep the cage clean too, just a quick little spot sweep once or twice a day.
I made my kitchen area out of coroplast it's a one by two and it's at the end of course. Has the water bottle, their Oxbow pellets, Oxbow hay, and a bowl that goes in and out that hangs on the caves for their veggies and fruit.
Wow! I love the packaging the liner came in, what a cool idea to turn it into a Guinea Pig Home.... But that Liner looks super nice! Im sure its going to last you a very long time! :)
I personally would seriously recommend, been using them for 3-4months so easy, cheap (compared to the amount of woodshavings) plus it has a built in hidey, how great is that?!
Awe the boys looks so happy and snuggly! I hope the fleece is good for Timmy and it encourages him to move more. Just a heads up about the guinea dad hidey box, I saw a video where someone's guinea pig got their head stuck in the window. Luckily he was around to get her out but I wouldn't let your pigs use it unsupervised.
You are the best dad Scotty!! I loved seeing Timmy’s little take off🤗 He is so adorable..Great idea putting something down in the kitchen area. I think I will try something for my piggie. What type of bedding do you use? Thanks for sharing!
You're taking good care of Timmy! I bet the fleece is easier to roam around on for him. I use hemming web to put fleece onto incontinent bed pads for my guineapig, Percy. I can buy 4 for the price of one guineadad liner..
We have 2 Piggie Bedspreads and 1 Quineadad and personally, I like the Quineadad better because it’s easier to clean. (Watch the ‘how to’ video on their website) its much easier to take the liner out and tip it all off over a bin (trash can) rather that sweeping it. That's why I prefer the QD liner over the piggie bedspread’s. Also, I had to do the same thing with propping up the fleece tent part in the beginning. They soon learned how to get under it though and now toss it up with their noses and run under in one swift move. Oh, and it only really looks proper clean the first hour or so, even after you brush it down, but you get used to that. 😂
Scott, I noticed you don't use these liners anymore. Could you please give an update as to why? I was thinking about purchasing but I am a little hesitant.
Thanks for your video Scotty I really love the part when you we're laying down in the floor with them I have a question do you use CBD for the little guy ( Timmy,)that has trouble walking???
It's ao cute like Timmy stood there like: " Wait, what....were did he go ? And what I'm supposed to do with that thing....hä ? uhm.." So confused and a bit superstitious...at 5:03 looking at Scott like: "and now?"
Hey Scotty, I rescued our make guinea pig a little over a month ago. He came with some cheap food-the kind with all different dyes and seeds in. I changed him onto oxbow Timothy pellets. He ate a one or two servings of those pellets the first few days but since then doesn’t really eat them. He doesn’t even eat 1/8 of a cup of the pellets over the course of a week. He gets all the Timothy hay he wants, roughly 1/2 cup of veggies per day plus his child’s life vitamin c everyday. Should I be concerned he doesn’t eat the pellets? Should I buy other brands of Timothy pellets to see if I can find a brand he likes? Or is it not something to be concerned about? Thank you and love your videos. Have learned so much within the past month about our family’s new little member due to your videos and we hope to be getting him a brother within the the next couple of days from our local SPCA.
One of my guinea pigs liked his pellets while my other guinea pig likes his hay. They really are like us in what they like. My Spencer was much more finicky and was a neat freak with his cage. Gizmo loves food and his cage looks like a frat house shortly after I clean it. :-) I would monitor your guinea pig often to make sure he's not losing weight. Also, find a good vet that is knowledgeable about gps so that way if an issue arises you have someone who can see them immediately. I recently had to take Spencer to an ER vet and was turned away because they don't know how to treat gps. He passed just before being able to see his normal vet.
You can get fleece blankets from Walmart for $2.50 and you can put pee pads under it but you have to change the pee pads every other day. That is what I do.
Oh and you can go to a fabric store and get fleece that way too. My mom got me some a month or so back. I just thought I would maybe put out some slightly cheaper ways(you can get a huge box of pee pads from Costco too for like $15-16 )
@@girlski342 My mom buys me a varitey of fleece fabrics too lol! I currently put paper bedding under the fleece with cardboard on the very bottom. I'm just trying to use up all the paper bedding I have left then I'm going to try pee pads.
@@girlski342 that's not a cheaper alternative if you are constantly buying pads. These liners last for a long time so you arent constantly spending money on pee pads or bedding. So you are actually spending more money in the long run, than if you were to just buy a guineadad.
I do have a question unrelated to this video! I was wondering about my two male GP's. They are wonderful, but I am wondering about picking them up? They do seem to squirm around quite a bit when I'm picking them up, either to cuddle/floor time, or cleaning.
I have a kitchen in my C and C cage using carefresh and Aspen(kiln-dried).. I added doors on the end of the cage so I and pull out the kitchen to clean it... the hay has stayed in this area and doesn't get on the fleece!
Hey, I'm fairly new here. I have a one and a half year old piggy. I think he might have mites or lice. I live in Canada and was wondering where I could buy the ivermectin?
I buy my kitchens from guineapigcagesstore.com they are perfect and easy to clean. you might just want to stick with fleece if he has mobility issues. I had to take our 8 year old piggie's kitchen out this summer when it became too much of a struggle to get in and out. my younger ones love to dig in the kitchen so they still have one filled with care fresh
I have a female white piggie named Charlie, and she is about six months now. But she has got a hamster cage... But because I dont have enough money, i cant buy her a bigger cage like you have. And my parents keep saying that she is my responsibility, and I live in the middle of nowhere so i dont know how to get her a bigger cage...
You can't order grids from Amazon? They're $18. What are you feeding her? The cost of food and supplies is part of the responsibility. Your family must understand that there's a minimum requirement of care. Follow some of the tips we have. You should be able to build a cage for $40. No guinea pig can live in a hamster cage.
I have a piggy that looks almost just like Timmy. My pig was a class pet but the teacher wasn't properly taking care of him so she let me keep him. I am sadly his 5th home and he know has a friend. he is the sweetest boy so i dont get why people were just giving him up and keeping him in those disgusting pet store cages.
Scotty, the first human to personally try out a Guinea Dad Fleece Liner 2.0!
Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing. He's getting a feel for it as well as Timmy, lol!
u guys are so funny!
Really hope this helps poor Timmy thanks for the mention keep doing what you do Scott
I can't thank you enough, Roger!!!!!

I’m so happy that I invested in fleece for my guinea pig from Guinea Dad 😍 Timmy is going to be so happy
Good luck with this. After a while, could you please update us on the Guineadad liner and what you wound up doing for a kitchen? Thanks.

Awww Timmy gurgled when Scott pet him
Wow! I love the packaging the liner came in, what a cool idea to turn it into a Guinea Pig Home.... But that Liner looks super nice! Im sure its going to last you a very long time! :)
Let us know what you think after a few days..I’ve been wanting to get some but they are a bit pricey..great company though
That video is in progress.. but I can say I am impressed so far. It has been a week now...
I personally would seriously recommend, been using them for 3-4months so easy, cheap (compared to the amount of woodshavings) plus it has a built in hidey, how great is that?!
For its quality, its actually a lot cheaper than cage liners with u-haul. I'm honestly surprise it isn't more expensive.
For my kitchen I use soaker fleece pads and it’s very easy u can get 4 soaker pads for $30 or bigger soaker pads for $28
You are the best dad Scotty!! I loved seeing Timmy’s little take off🤗 He is so adorable..Great idea putting something down in the kitchen area. I think I will try something for my piggie. What type of bedding do you use? Thanks for sharing!
Hahaha, now you can have a piggy slumber party! 😂😂
So cool!!
Can hear him purring at 5:55. Awesome.
You're taking good care of Timmy! I bet the fleece is easier to roam around on for him. I use hemming web to put fleece onto incontinent bed pads for my guineapig, Percy. I can buy 4 for the price of one guineadad liner..
Please where do you buy incontinent bed pads?
Getting some 2x1 fleece pee pads from Etsy will make a great kitchen. That’s what Abby does.
Roger, you're a legend!
We have 2 Piggie Bedspreads and 1 Quineadad and personally, I like the Quineadad better because it’s easier to clean. Oh, and it only really looks proper clean the first hour or so, even after you brush it down, but you get used to that. 😂
oh guineadad!!!❤️❤️❤️ i love it!!
Scott, I noticed you don't use these liners anymore. Could you please give an update as to why? I was thinking about purchasing but I am a little hesitant.
First video I saw from u, I love timmy he is so cute!
The guys look so cozy 😍 and look at Timmy running 🐾🐾 extra pee pads in the kitchen area and high pee areas make fleece life easier :)
How long has Timmy been around? Sometimes it's tough watching our pig family age so fast.
Thanks for your video Scotty I really love the part when you we're laying down in the floor with them I have a question do you use CBD for the little guy ( Timmy,)that has trouble walking???
Yes he does.
Yes I like how I can keep track of poop etc with fleece....I even saw Fritz lose one of his scabs a day ago.....
It's ao cute like Timmy stood there like: " Wait, what....were did he go ? And what I'm supposed to do with that thing....hä ? uhm.."
So confused and a bit superstitious...at 5:03 looking at Scott like: "and now?"
How has the GuineaDad liner held up for you/the piggies??
What pellet brand do you use? Have u tried sherwood? Thoughts if you have?
15:23 -15:29 he popcorns his way over to the tunnel tent
Also, washable baby change table or pet pee pads work well as an absorbent layer, under the fleece.
😍😍😍😍😍Lovely the way you handle your gpigs😘😘😘😘😘😘
I use a dust pan with a kitty litter scoop to clean up the poops.
Spoiled piggies ❤️❤️❤️. I love it 😍

How can I get this product in India?

Pick them up with confidence, don't approach them like a hawk, bring them treats, talk to them in their language
after 15 mins expect to get peed/ pooped on, if not sooner
One way to fix the hay everywhere if two flip it over and use the other side
I have a kitchen in my C and C cage using carefresh and Aspen(kiln-dried).. I added doors on the end of the cage so I and pull out the kitchen to clean it... the hay has stayed in this area and doesn't get on the fleece!
Hey, I'm fairly new here. I have a one and a half year old piggy. I think he might have mites or lice. I live in Canada and was wondering where I could buy the ivermectin?
I use guineadad.com !! I love it!! And i love that the boxes are hidy huts! Thank you for the video.
Ps you and your piggies are hilarious!
Do you give cbd to Timmy?
yes :) It seems to help him
Hey. What’s the best way to send donations ✨💛
What breed is Timmy? He looks like the two i have.
My water bottles drip despite they are "no drip"...lol. but I put an extra little pad under them to help but honestly I don't have to....
What's sad is that the pet store cages are barley bigger then the pocket
I love it but it's so expensive
same. I cannot afford to buy it for my guinea pigs:
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I don't think I'd ever own a male ginea pig...boar glue sounds and looks gross... Lol
