+Just Some Guy with a Mustache Well, based on the whole Skill-Out arc I'd say most of the Level 0's crying about how hard life of a Level 0 is is mostly teenage angst, insecurity and jealousy. Which really isn't that weird, seeing how Academy City is basically a metropolis completely filled with teenagers.
MitsuruX the thing was to what ive understand misaka was lv1 same as uiharu (her powers arent really that strong) but she worked her way up and even get to top 3 in the lv5's ranking system so she knowa thier pain well enough she went thru hell (i suppose to get where shes at) granted lv1 and level 0 is a gap but not by much uiharus ability isint that strong ....... however misaka is a living proof that someone can get stronger just by doing thier best

Nobody just becomes an esper at a high level from the getgo, a lot of funding goes into working them all the way up. Mikoto has been a level 5 proper for at most a year before Railgun begins though, if I'm not misremembering the math. She's far less of a prodigy than Accelerator.
she wasnt level 5 from the get go she was lv1 im pretty sure she just worked her butt off thats why she never look down on lower level or level 0 for that matter
Sure, but how much of it was innate talent as well? There's a reason why even academy city had their eyes on her from the beginning rather than other lvl 0s or lvl 1s.
In theory rail gun is a weapon that has almost infinite amount of kinetic power as long as you have energy enough to put whatever mass in front to accelerate through rail for launching it away (as long as the rail long enough, as long as the mass don't ran out, and as long as there an energy to feed the whole process). All of this is why rail gun can be in theory the strongest of all projectile weapon.

However, because of the existence of Parameter List, she was already predicted to attain Level 5 at a young age, as is maybe the reason why researchers came to take her DNA knowing full well of the potential she showed at such a young age." +natchu96 True but not entirely. Not to mention Misaka is not a conventional level 5 in that she started as a Level 1, which does stand to reason she could grow even stronger in time (especially with the combat experience she's been getting up until this point and beyond.)
its honestly why I find touma's power boring. its too simple. it might work if the setting was simple, but its not, the rest of the anime's world is incredibly complex...and then there's touma's power. idk, its just boring to watch.
bonzwah1 What makes the Imagine Breaker cool is the fact that his arm is basically a cheat in that world. That and the fact that it holds back the Invisble Thing. And Accelerator would have also made mince meat of it.
NirvanaFrk97 that they added more to it is pretty cool. its simplicity in combat is still boring and often poorly handled though. accelerator post-headshot is way more interesting, due to its complicating limitations.
NirvanaFrk97 well sure there's the character development, but the real reason he got shot in the head was to make his power more interesting. it was way too simple before...much like touma's
it still, after all these years, bothers me that they mistranslated this: "I didn't get dragged into this." should be: "I didn't mean you might get hurt by him." "I decided to get involved..." should be: "I mean you might get hurt by me." sort of.
well it took a few tries to get a stable AIM angel and boy, when the reason Alister made them comes in, it's a thing, hopefully yall will see the true reason Alister made Fuze Kazakiri in index 3!
I only just realised this, but when it's Saten-san's voice saying "sono kitai ga, omoi toki mo aru no desu yo", she's saying the exact thing she said to Misaka before, when she was talking about being a level 0. It means "there are also times when those expectations are really heavy". Also, Misaka didn't say "I decided to get involved myself", the translation is more like "I'm not saying you'll get caught up ITS attacks, I'm saying you'll get caught up in MINE” which is a hell of a lot cooler
@Kamijou Medi more like clowns projecting their own real life deficiencies on a fictional character. There's a way to criticize a character, and then there's this
It's kinda sad when you learn about the existence of the Parameter List. These people work so hard to improve, yet their potential has already been decided and their progress locked controlled by Academy City.
@@addzay3135 no, it's more like Academy City adults deciding to save their resources and destroying lives of the students indirectly by weeding out some.
+RougeDragon “Blazing” whiteFlame *HEAVY SPOILER AHEAD:* Due to merging her mind and power with the remaining 10 thousand clones, Misaka pretty much becomes level 6. However, she loses human appearance, her personality, and rational mind when shifting into the level 6 mode.
Spoilers, obviously. Gensei gets control of Exterior, which normally boost's Misaki's power to the point where it's higher than what a level 5 should be able to do. Gensei then uses it on Misaka to see what happens when they make a level 6. Earlier in the show with Accelerator it's explained he is the only one who can become a level 6, but he's the only one who can become a stable level 6, not 6 in general. Had Gensei's plan succeeded then Misaka would've turned into a level 6 for a fraction of a second, blown up academy city, then promptly died.
Nah, it's been a little while since I read the manga, but basically Misaki beats Gensei in a fight, and makes him lose the ability to use Mental Out. Can't remember exactly why but this caused Misaka to stop trying to murder everything for a little, which gave Touma (with help from Gunha, the 7th level 5) the opportunity to get close to Misaka and use his hand to stop the rampage that Gensei caused her to go on.
If I had a nickle for every time an AIM based entity was nerfed by Uiharu's direct actions before Mikoto could defeat it I'd have two nickles, which isn't alot, but it's weird it happened twice... but at the very least this firs time? Uiharu didn't pretty much *solo* said being and leave Mikoto with the corpse, all she did was get the antivirus to antiskill so it would be cut off from it's budding network. And then theres jailbreaker Uiharu.. THE LAWS OF PHYSICS ARE MINE, AND THEY WILL OBEY ME!
Now when I see the scenes with the AIM Burst, I have to wonder if Saten (herself a Level 0) transformed into a hideous creature while in her coma! I have to fucking seriously consider that now!
Always wondered why Misaka didnt use the iron sand to create her own railgun projectiles. Sure the arcade tokens are cheap and easy to carry but making her own from the environment would look quite interesting as well as be more effective if shaped for the situation at hand.
I would have enjoyed see a match of the Justice League vs Misaka and the rest of the Kamijou faction; even the main justice league members would have trouble going against the AIM burst.
No the justice League would have no problem dealing with the monster but when compared to the other characters in to Aru series you can forget it, they are gonna be seriously outmatched.
While Touma *can* murk AIM Burst, the only point he can stop a railgun attack is when she's preparing to fire; once the coin leaves the "barrel" it's pure physics and he's charred meat chunks.
Dew to my research mikoto misaka the electro master and an ace she loves stuff animals like gekoda she is childish even her age is 14 even so she is friendly and trustful friend she has a special power called railgun.
Nope. Closest we've seen is before she fights accelerator when she makes an emp that shuts power off across half the city. By accident. Spoiler Later in Season 3 we will see her at the theoretical limit of how strong she could one day become. Albeit with virtually no control due to the context.
Tbh, when she told the Aim creature thingy to stop moping around and try more, it actually really irritated me. I see some people in the comments saying that she used be the in the same position they were in but the truth is that she really wasn't. Firstly, she never actually started off as a level 0 (virtually no power) she started off as a level 1(weak but noticeable power). Secondly, she was still far more geneticslly gifted and talented than the level 0s in the fact that she hsd more potential. This is y facilities invested so much time into buildimg up her ability, its y they started consodering making clones of her even beforr she became a level 5. Its far easier to tell somebody to stop feeling sorry for themselves and keep working when you actually see results from your hard work. Not everybody sees the same kinds of results from tgeir hard work and it really frustrates me when people say things like that. Its like you're invalidating all the work they put in and telling them that they should just work harder so they can be like u. Do you reslly think that all if those level 0s just sat around all day just feelimg sorry for themselves from day 1? Obviously not, most of them likely worked just as hard if not possibly harder than Mikasa and still ended up with no progress, as sad as that is.
I think you kinda missed the point. Of course it's not like the level 0s were just doing nothing but feeling sorry for themselves and Misaka isn't trying to invalidate that at all. Her point isn't that she's saying that they didn't work hard enough, it's that because they turned to the level upper they essentially gave up and accepted the idea that they won't ever be able to go any further and it's once that happens that they genuinely won't be able to go any further. She's telling them that even though it's brutal being powerless beyond her ability to understand, if they keep lying to themselves saying that they just can't help it and give up then they won't ever reach what they're dreaming for so they have to get back up and keep trying. Misaka was born with the talent to eventually progress to level 5, and the scientists saw that potential, but she only ever made it that far because she didn't give up on her self and worked hard enough to bring herself up to that level. Knowing that it's even harder for the people in the AIM creature she's trying to tell them to not give up on their potential even if they might not think they have that potential.
@@zacharygobin4369Fair enough. I see your point. It's definitely possible she meant something more like that. However, most of these people had been at Academy city for years, starting and remaining at level 0s since. While the notion of "never give up and you'll see results" is a good mind-frame to have, in some cases it can also be self-destructive. It's not like level 0s make very little progress compared to others, they simply just don't make any progress at all. In that case it's almost like telling somebody that if they flap their arms hard enough everyday, they'll be able to fly like a bird. However, in other times in the arc they emphasize ideals that are more like "your ability doesn't define you" and "there's much more to you that makes you great than your ability". That's something that I loved to see and can get behind.

NirvanaFrk97 that they added more to it is pretty cool. its simplicity in combat is still boring and often poorly handled though. accelerator post-headshot is way more interesting, due to its complicating limitations.
I guess he had to be hindered in order to humble him I guess
NirvanaFrk97 well sure there's the character development, but the real reason he got shot in the head was to make his power more interesting. it was way too simple before...much like touma's
大量の雑魚が一人の天才にわからせ食らった上で「努力が足りないやり直せ」ってリアリティのある中々残酷な描写よな
I'm surprised that I could find this clip by searching "Mikasa vs ASMR fetus"
it still, after all these years, bothers me that they mistranslated this:
"I didn't get dragged into this." should be: "I didn't mean you might get hurt by him."
"I decided to get involved..." should be: "I mean you might get hurt by me."
sort of.
It's translated to make sense not to be accurate
This was the scene that got me sold on the anime opening for season 1. The reprise was just epic.
You know shit’s about to go down when the theme itself plays
I've done that coin toss when I was like, 13? And I remembered it hurt a frickin lot.
Me too
It's funny cause that's not even her full power yet that's just a taste of her full power you'll know what I mean if you've finished the anime
Anyone notice the prism core and the halo on the thing? Basically shows what happens if you make a failed Kazakiri Hyouka...
well it took a few tries to get a stable AIM angel and boy, when the reason Alister made them comes in, it's a thing, hopefully yall will see the true reason Alister made Fuze Kazakiri in index 3!
This and the Judgment Desu No clip are literally two of my favorite scenes from the anime.
Always get chills and goosebumps when the theme song starts playing...
it's so good..
The gap between Level 4 and Level 5 is so wide
Misaka is a bit above lvl5 tho.
@@bluewolf3508 but not lvl 6 so still lvl 5.
To be fair, lvl 5 to lvl 6 is even wider, you're basically a god at level 6
@@Miro. yeah the levels aren't too specific, a low lvl 5 wouldn't stand a chance against a high lvl 5 even.
minizxs k this is why you always need a second level to all the ranks like a number and a level level 5C 5B 5A then 6C 6B 6A etc

"The power she used against me wasn't her full strenght ?"
Probably the worst thought possible for an ancient vilain
This was my favourite railgun battle.
U know u lost from the beginning when the person ur fighting doesn't even move her feet a inch during the whole fight 😂
It’s funny because her fight against item shows how badly she sucks against non physical attacks
With Rampage Dress, she stands a much better chance
Ah yes.. a coin is one of the deadliest weapons ever when it's used with electricity
i fucking love when kiyama say: this is....a level 5...
its like THAT THING ITS NOT HUMAN ANYMORE!
>Oh she's not going to fight
>Coin flip
>OH YEAH IT'S ON!
After this scene, there was no turning back😍😍

It's kinda sad when you learn about the existence of the Parameter List. These people work so hard to improve, yet their potential has already been decided and their progress locked controlled by Academy City.
I think it's 1 shitty idea as the midiclorians in star wars
@@addzay3135 no, it's more like Academy City adults deciding to save their resources and destroying lives of the students indirectly by weeding out some.

*HEAVY SPOILER AHEAD:*
Due to merging her mind and power with the remaining 10 thousand clones, Misaka pretty much becomes level 6. However, she loses human appearance, her personality, and rational mind when shifting into the level 6 mode.
Esteban 224
lel idk, I just read that off her wikia. Thought, Accel doesn't really need the network when he goes into his winged mode thingy.
Can't remember exactly why but this caused Misaka to stop trying to murder everything for a little, which gave Touma (with help from Gunha, the 7th level 5) the opportunity to get close to Misaka and use his hand to stop the rampage that Gensei caused her to go on.
if you cant kill it you know what to do call touma
THE BADASSES SCENE IN RAILGUN
Coming here again after Railgun T
When you enter cheat codes and no longer give a fuck about the fight... lol.
I-It was an artificial angel !! oO its only now that i noticed the halo on its head !

PLOT ARMOR
If I had a nickle for every time an AIM based entity was nerfed by Uiharu's direct actions before Mikoto could defeat it
I'd have two nickles, which isn't alot, but it's weird it happened twice...
but at the very least this firs time? Uiharu didn't pretty much *solo* said being and leave Mikoto with the corpse, all she did was get the antivirus to antiskill so it would be cut off from it's budding network.
And then theres jailbreaker Uiharu..

Cant wait for season 3 of Railgun
Now when I see the scenes with the AIM Burst, I have to wonder if Saten (herself a Level 0) transformed into a hideous creature while in her coma! I have to fucking seriously consider that now!
U know that shit just got real with the anime music
I get goose bembs by just watching the video and thim song

I do not want to know how much damage she can do with an entire wallet.

Always wondered why Misaka didnt use the iron sand to create her own railgun projectiles. Sure the arcade tokens are cheap and easy to carry but making her own from the environment would look quite interesting as well as be more effective if shaped for the situation at hand.
In this manga or anime no one uses his power at his max potential
Well she did it recently
Too powerful.
I would have enjoyed see a match of the Justice League vs Misaka and the rest of the Kamijou faction; even the main justice league members would have trouble going against the AIM burst.
+Whammy Cheng Not really, Superman always can just throw it off planet
None of the Justice League would really have that much trouble against that thing.
No the justice League would have no problem dealing with the monster but when compared to the other characters in to Aru series you can forget it, they are gonna be seriously outmatched.
Best scene in the entire saga ❤️❤️❤️
I cant tell if this moment makes the intro good or the vice versa...
Let's take a second to think about the fact that Touma could've one-shot AIM burst and stop the railgun.
😂
Imma be real here touma imagine break one shotting aim burst would be way less epic than seeing misaka taking it down
@@supasaiyanvegeta6502 It honestly depends on how much effort they put into making it look cool.
@@kenshanparchman6838 Very True.
While Touma *can* murk AIM Burst, the only point he can stop a railgun attack is when she's preparing to fire; once the coin leaves the "barrel" it's pure physics and he's charred meat chunks.

Have we ever seen misakas REAL power?
Nope. Closest we've seen is before she fights accelerator when she makes an emp that shuts power off across half the city. By accident.

Later in Season 3 we will see her at the theoretical limit of how strong she could one day become. Albeit with virtually no control due to the context.

They somehow took a mass of flesh, eyes and fetus and made you feel bad for it, ah the arc was great. Still is.
That's something that I loved to see and can get behind.
this is why science is better than magic
And yet again I misread the title as "Meika Mikoto vs AIM Burst".
