Thanks for putting the full races, NASCAR. In Spain, even paying doesn't get you the full race, I can only watch the 50 minute recap, which is good, but this is better.

Is it not on sky sports anymore? I haven't had sky since about 2010 but they used to have hour long highlights shows. Altho maybe i got massively lucky and they ended in 2011 or something.

I hope NASCAR introduces the short track package to all tracks next year and beyond. Definitely the way to go when you put these two packages side by side.
The short track package does not work at tracks 1.5 miles and above. Just look at how bad the racing was in 2016-2018 when they used this package at all tracks (expect Daytona and Talladega). This package works really well only at short tracks. And please NASCAR, don’t change the Daytona and Talladega package.

Hey Nascar, just wanted to let you guys know that all the people leaving this sport because of changes for the future aren't real fans, they just want attention on the internet. Keep on putting on great shows, and making the sport more approachable. Things may not look great now, but in the long run with more changes and more diversity, this sport will be gaining more fans and more popularity.

Yep, another nail in Nascar's coffin. Races are just getting plain boring, almost nobody to root for. With this stage racing the whole competition got killed. I keep finding myself watching old races.
If you get into trouble at Martinsville early, be a long race. Part of the challenge is making passes at the right time. Try to make a pass too early, easily get turned. Even a bump and run can be sketchy.
Sad that there is no Sonoma this year, it is my favorite race track.

The only races worth watching are the 2 daytona, 2 talladega and 2 road course races, maybe the roval and Bristol\Martinsville.
But generally speaking the racing got killed imho with the retarded stage racing. Also there are almost nobody to cheer for.

They're stuck in the '50s and '60s. In the '80s, we had progressed somewhat due to the carryover from the Civil Rights Movement. There's always new marks to hit, more things to change.

We were perfect on the long run, but then we tried to adjust the short run at the beginning of stage 3 but kinda fucked the long run and not getting the short run lol

Awesome light show
Thanks to everyone that made the race happen even without the spectator stands.I didn't speculate on it or have the slightest idea of how or why it was won as the camera shifts a lot. Some slow replays and team driver tables would have been cool after,you could kinda follow the positions and wonder at the livery,the purr of the engines . I expect it's normal to do a low gear rev smoke show. Pit crew chops n all. Nobody crashed or was injured which is also good. Engineering sport is fascinating briefly. And a little dirty perhaps, heavy on the oils and gels. Guess they all cleaned up and went home feeling sporting.

I'm confused. They say this is the first cup race run under the lights at Martinsville. So by that do they mean the first race to be run completely under the lights? Because they at least finished under the lights in 2017. Anyway it's kinda weird that they're so excited about it as we've seen it already, apart from the effect the lights have on long runs and strategy, I guess.

How does nascar even work
You can look it up yourself. We'll be here all day if we have THAT convo lol
There's a regular season and a post-season. Drivers compete in the regular season for 16 playoff spots. If you win a race, you're automatically in, otherwise the only way in is by points. A win is worth 40, 2nd is 35, 3rd is 34, 4th is 33 etc. There are 3 stages in most races, each stage win is worth 10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd etc. At the end of the season if 10 different drivers win races, then the next 6 with the most points make it to the playoffs. the top 16 will compete in 3 races for points, 12 drivers advance to the next round. those 12 drivers will race 3 more, 8 advance to the next round. those 8 race 3 more, 4 advance to the next round. The Final Four will compete in one race to decide the champion

Cant wait til the put center lugs paddle shifters and add more road courses. Nascar could be like v8 supercars. Another thing manufacturers should be able to run whatever cylinder 4 5 6 8 and a displacement under 6.0. For the smaller one big fuel big turbo for bigger na american muscle. Just wanted to thank NASCAR and the fans for the banning of the confederate flag! I have always been a closet fan (Little Dale). I have always loved it on Xbox. I think the personalities and the sponsor logos are super cool. The only problem was that I never felt like the sport wanted to include black people.
