I understand he was their boss, but on stage, he sometimes was the person who livened up the stage before the artist came out, which is what a hypeman does! As I listed above,he is/was also a teacher, teaching them how to entertain and be interesting artist!

Anytime you have a live recording vs a studio recording, you are going to have differences, be it minor or major. My point is that because they don't sound all that great on the studio recording, this live show is not very much off from the studio recording. Everything you mentioned would definitely be a factor for someone who sounds great on the studio recording, i.e. Kelly Rowland, but whenever she sings live, she sounds horrible. So no diss taken, just my opinion.
