thans Kathy ! always nice to hear from you .. well talking about lead guitar... my next upload has 6& half minute of lead... my cover version of Santana's "I love you much too much " have a ,listen if you like .. and dig latin rock
"Neo soul" - yeah that's fitting very well, dear John! Awesome sound of your original production! Great lyrics again and superb music! You sang it with style and expression! Keep it up! Best wishes for the new week and a big Austrian like ... Best regards ...Hermann
I was thinking how to describe this style, it has some soul vibes but .. its not the 60-70 ies stuff... more contemporary ...so neo soul would be the right fit..thanks for your comment and visit Hermann.. I wish an inspiring week
At 1:26 the lead guitar has a different sound from a majority of your songs. Don't know if it is equipment or the brand of guitar you are playing. Has a soulful and rock sound mixed together. Different but enjoyable to the ears. Around 2:58 really like that chunky soul riff. Really ends the song out on a high note. Major Kudos to you John.
the sound you hear is a very clean amp in combination with a fast running rotary speaker effect, with a bit of spring reverb added to it... you'll get this 60 ies soul vibe from it..the guitar and everything is still the same..Fender Strat , but a different sound gives me a different touch to the strings I'm afraid.. so the solo stuff isn't prominent rock but more eh..soulful. because the music demands this.. and at the end there is a riff that really draws you in doesn't it ? a subtle seducer.... the gypsy blood thing is still on my mind though...
Great song John! Loved the variation riffs and of course that great sounding guitar solo. Good job. 👍
