wear blue remembers Chief Warrant Officer 2 Thalia Suzzane Ramirez, who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 5, 2012. Thalia was nearing the end of her tour in Afghanistan. However, when U.S. troops came under fire, CW2 Ramirez and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jose L. Montenegro, Jr. got into an OH-58D Kiowa helicopter and flew in to aid the troops. CW2 Ramirez and CW2 Montenegro died when the helicopter crashed in Logar Province, Afghanistan. She was 28 years old. LTC Kimberli Scruggs, a physician's assistant at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY, remembers Thalia in this video.
