- I've always loved my shoes and I do have a bit of an obsession with them. I have 22 pairs to show you in this video, which consist of sneakers, shoes, boots, and sandals. I have built up this collection over a number of years, so that’s one of the reasons I have so many.
The shoes I go for these days are all timeless and pretty simple so they are really easy to style. I definitely know what I like and that’s the reason I stick to certain styles, which you will see in this video.

Do you recommend I buy the normal club c or the vintage one? I'm looking for something that will last long term.
I’m not a sneaker guy at all and vastly prefer loafers/boots, but I do like the simple monochrome ones to make an outfit more casual. Nice collection of classic trainers. Another pair you might like are the German army trainers, either vintage originals or the redesigned ones from Austrian shoemaker Ludwig Reiter
Love this. I'm in the process of streamlining my wardrobe and shoes have been a struggle for me.

I recently upgraded my Birkenstock Arizonas for a collaboration that they did with Jil Sander. The sole, straps, and footbed are all black leather. My go to for the summer.

Have you tried Vault by Vans? Essentially it’s the elevated version of classic Vans styles, akin to the Converse Chuck 70; better materials, higher foxing, thicker rubber, etc.
That’s exactly what I try and do. The black Vans in the video are the Vans Vault LX. I have a video about them too if you are interested

I also keep the Chuck 70's and Sk8Hi's in my rotation. They are not that comfy, but they are so easy to style.
Sambas and flared/wide trousers are really popular at the moment!
Sambas are too overdone at the moment. I think there are nicer adidas models.

@5:14 I’ve found that when I size down half a size in shoes/boots heel shredding tends to go away since my heel doesn’t rub in the shoe anymore. But thicker socks might help as well!
Thicker socks is definitely a good idea. I’m glad it doesn’t last after the break in period

Great vid! For a chill jogger/athletic shoe, you should consider the air max 1s because 90s are a bit chunky imo.

Loved your collection! I used to try and buy different styles of shoes (same as you, shoes that I loved the looks but not particularly on myself), but was always using the same 1 or 2 pairs, so now I buy similar models but use them all - guess accepting I have a basic and specific style is better than spending money and getting frustrated after 🤷🏻♂️

Great collection. Simple, goes with everything, and all serve a purpose with your aesthetic. Your collection is similar to mine actually haha. I stick with low top black/white converse + vans. Also own one pair of Reebok Club C's 🤙
I think "TV" on your Rebooks comes from the colorway. Back in the day when there were no color TV's, guitar manufacturers used the same colors(white, cream, bej, eggshell yellow etc.) to paint guitars because those colors will pop better on non color TV's and the paint job was called "TV yellow"
At one point in my 20's I had close to 80 pairs of trainers, shoes and football boots. Learned my lesson now I only own 2 pairs of shoes, 8 pairs of trainers and 3 pairs of footie boots. Tk maxx back in the 2000s was gold for random trainers.

My shoe collection is big too. 90% of my shoes are boots. Not really a sneaker person but own a few Converse sneakers. I can honestly say that I’ve worn them all and because I mostly black clothes everything fits together.

Used to go with vans sk8 hi bcs of how they go with most of my fit similar to chucks. But the damn laces is something i struggle with. Gave the old school a try and couldn't be happier. Keeping it simple really is better.
5:14 same here, sambas and spezials do tend to scrape the back of your heels. This actually only happened to me with these shoes, and it could be because of the high arch support of the insole.
The spezials didn’t give me any problems but the tab at the top of the heel on the Sambas rubbed when I first wore them. They are on these days
Take a look a nobull for running shoes. You might like the minimal knit look of them!

omg I struggle with the air max situation too. I bought a pair of mainline y-3 sneakers because I was in love with how they look but the foam is like a block of wood, hardest foam ive ever felt. Almost as bad as dress shoes.

Over the past 10 years I've probably acquired about 300+ shoes. Right now I have about 25 pairs - GH bass, Clark's (but I went TTS in both unlike yourself) Grensons, Rick Owens, Vans, New Balance, ASICS, Salehe Bembury, Hoka ones, Adidas, Saucony, Nike. More collabs/ hype-beast than simple, however I like your collection and need a few more simple shoes (about 30% of mine are simple, and 70% are borderline gaudy madness) You can never have too many shoes, however I'm trying to be less wasteful these days and only buy about 4 pairs per year.
I experience the heel shred too for sure, even with a new pair of vans i always get that, but ive been wearing vans since i was like 8 so most of my pairs are old enough i dont get it anymore lol
The Reebok white leather vintage sneakers are great! I wear Lacoste and Pumas but also have Nikes, Adidas, etc. Great choices in your formal footwear!

I used to have this pair of adidas shoes. I really loved them however they barely lasted me a year cause I'd wear them everyday and I'd go around working on those. They were the Adi ease, and i had the blue-ish colour with rubber brown sole. They were very comfortable and looked good...they will be dearly missed. The problem is, i can't find them anywhere now. And it's i do they're being sold for twice what they actually are
Clarks Wallabees... I loved the look of them for so long and couldn't wait to get a pair but after owning them for a bit I found I didn't love them as much as I thought I would. I made a mistake with the sizing and really should have gone a full size down, and especially after the crepe soles dirty up they do quite quickly lose their versatility and aren't as able to dress up. But that prompted me to eye up their Desert Boots, which once I got I found could do everything I wanted my Wallabees to do originally and more, so through a bad experience with one shoe I found another I think I'll stick with for a long time. Every cloud I guess!

I wish Vans made more Authentic LX with suede materials. Love the LX line but after the canvas Authentics crease it's all downhill for me. For suede though, I think you sold me on those Spezials. They're kind of like a more sophisticated version of all the Sambas I wore growing up. Very solid shoe collection man, thanks for the video.

Our style is very similar so I really love most of the shoes you show here! I actually bought the Reebok Club C a few months ago following your advice, but they hurt my feet so much :( so I never wear them, only for quick errands.

If you wanna style air max 90s and you do "simple" low-key fits... anytime you don't have an analogue watch.... like you go smart watch, or Apple watch and buds... put the 90s on, or any kind sneaker with tech. Do an oxford... and windbreaker... and you're in the game.
When you go analogue again... the club c or killshots will be waiting for ya.
I love the Reebok club C, I have the same but in black and is top for the price. And I have the same with the samba haha, if you like simple in a shoe, looks a CT302 of New Balance, it's incredible for the price. Regards from Spain!

If you like the acne studio slip ons, I'd advise taking a look at the Stepney workers club slip on black suede. Same style but a tad fancier in my opinion.
