I saw John with his band in '96. It was a club that reminded me of Bob's Country Bunker! The Ox used his entire touring rig from the Who in this little 700 capacity club, my ears were ringing for days! He signed autographs afterwards and was very gracious with all of audience that wanted to meet him. I would say that I've never seen any bassist with greater right-hand speed, geeze! Your lesson was really well presented, thanks for sharing!
@@CraftyMusicTips Loud doesn't begin to express his rig. I managed to push my way to the front of the stage and watched the whole show looking at John play, about 8-10 feet. Entwistle's left hand was interesting to watch but it was his right hand that was his true secret weapon. I promise you that when he played fast passages, you literally couldn't see his fingers as they simply became a blur! That was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Simply put, there's a reason why the Ox is always ranked at the top. Take care and be safe.
Great video. I think you might find it easier to to play the 1st and 3rd solos starting on the A string , 10th fret instead of the D string 5th fret. The high D could be played on the G string.
@@CraftyMusicTips haha I actually done the same thing after commenting and saw him using a pick as well, but that was always one of the things I correlated with him.

CHEERS MATE! EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! (starting slowly then speeding up, helps a lot for learning)
Love the patient instruction!
That was great! I’ve watched a lot of guys try to instruct that solo. This by far was the best.
Glad you liked it mate 👍
Really good !
Yoo this was really good can you do the bass solos for crossroads by cream?
Hey thanks - sure, I'll have a look... Any particular version?
@@CraftyMusicTips not really just the bass
Or the bass for mellowship slinky in b major
I love both.

He used a pic on the recording.
He used a plectrum on this song, homes.
Entwistle used three fingers.
Yes I noticed that when I inspected some other live clips after uploading this video, but he did use a pick as well sometimes
