"It's about Jesus" You're right London. What matters is Christ in you, by belief in His saving work. The Holy Spirit will then indwell you, and encourage and empower you to bear fruit- works of faith What the Devil wants us to believe, is that "being moral" will commend us to God. Christ-less morality will not save. The true work is to believe in the One God has sent.
When you say the Devil doesn't care about morals, just wants people to abandon Jesus, doesn't it follow that morality doesn't matter? I mean, by the same argument, morals don't matter to Jesus either, as long as you believe in Him. Actions matter, right? A person can say they believe in Christ while still doing evil all day long.
@@LivingSimplyWithLondon So all the Christians who are wicked aren't real Christians? That's a LOT of fakers. But I wasn't going to James, I was going to Jesus: He repeatedly instructs His followers to DO good things, not just to have faith.
@ Yeah, there are a lot of fakers. Wicked people asking for forgiveness get forgiven. Those who don’t ask don’t receive. Jesus is very clear that many will be sent away with the simple words, “Depart from me, I never knew you.”
@@LivingSimplyWithLondon Right: Depart from me, I never knew you. But that's a long way from 'All you gotta do is believe,' right? Jesus is forever saying Christians are known by their fruits - that they've got to DO things to perfect their faith.

But if someone TRULY believes in Jesus, the morals follow. Read the book of James
