      My wife was not a happy camper when I ended up with all of these cookers. There is over 20 of them so far lol. Thanks for watching buddy. Im glad that it helped stoke that spark to get another hehehe. If I could go back i would get the bigger one though... Just throwing that out there.
      Happy Queing

      Lol maybe you can try to pitch this as an outdoor oven lol. Yeah I love this thing. Even better is that my wife likes it so i dont have to feel guilty about buying that one. What kind of smokers do you have?

    Just want let you know that this video got me seriously looking at this. Price is reasonable at cabela. Love the idea of filling the charcoal and setting and forgetting. This would be ideal in the winter when I want brisket. Wife only laughed when I showed her the video, gonna do so more research but feeling good about this.

      I dont even cook on this thing that much. It is so easy and the food turns out pretty decent my wife actually took over and uses it often. I will probably have to sell this and get her the big one soon. If you ever need to test run on and am in the neighborhood hit me up! I think your wife will forgive you for this purchase lol

      WHHAAAAAAAT?!?! You are getting a gravity series? Nice! You will love it. I've had a small issue with the safety switches but that'd about it. I made a vid last year with an override but you know me... I've been too lazy to post. I will put it up sooner than later since you have gotten one. I really think it will be one of your favorites!

      I appreciate that, reviewed several videos but yours was the first, definitely going to make assembly easier, i.e. handle assembly, shipped the charbroil propane to daughter, wasn’t getting much use and taking up space, I can fit 3 cookers in that space, probably video first cook but not assembly,

    Chicken looks good. Thanks, man.
    I opted for the 1050 because I saw a 560 at a Bass Pro Shop and I thought the same as you. The 560's small.
    I'm upgrading from a Weber 22" Kettle.
    The 1050 is my first purchase. All the Kettle grills I've had were all given to me or hand me downs.
    I'm having it delivered to my house because it's 225lbs! Hopefully, the delivery guy brings it all the way in my garage so I can assemble it inside my garage.
    Keep doing what you're doing, man!.. Peace!..

    • @dsquebackyardbbq217

      Good call on the 1050. I said that i wasnt going to pull the trigger on it at this point but I havent had much success fighting will power in buying smokers smh. The good thing about the weber products is that you can pass them down and they will last for a while. I just rusted out my very 1st weber 2 years ago. Good call on the home delivery. You were smart for that. These are annoying to move alone (and you have the bigger one). It wont be terrible I would suggest having something soft to lay it on when you assemble because there will be a time when you lay it down. Let me know how you like it when it comes! And thanks for checking me out! Ill probably do a vid on the okj bronco pro next because there have been some ques about it.
      Take care!

    You absolutely hit it on the head, this is as close to a pellet smoker I’ll ever get, the convenience of the 560 is what convinced my wife as well, I still need to edit and upload the 2 cooks, it did a good job on spare ribs, chicken wings, Italian sausage, looking forward to seeing what you put up, did you get another drum? Guess I’ll have to wait and see. The only drawbacks I can see are the limited cooking space and the need for another set off grates, my wife has even expressed a desire for the rotisserie lol.

    Is this 560 worth it in 2024 for $324 ? Or should I invest in the 600? It’s about 700. Asking based on the issues or any inconveniences.

      You will have to come back and tell me how big of a difference that is for you.. I struggled really bad with fighting the urge to grab the 1050. MB seems to be hit or miss with me lately on some of their other cookers but I do love the idea of the gravity series. A couple small changes and they would knock it out of the park!
      I'm super pumped for you tho. Definitely share some good cook stories

    Man, I wish I had your grill pipeline going on. Do you keep them all? Sell them off 2nd hand? You've gotta have a packed stable now if you're keeping them all. Regardless I appreciate your candied reviews of all the grills you present. Can't wait to see that BroncoPro review. I had the original and liked it a lot, but it wouldn't hang full slabs of ribs without trimming them down. Heard the pro solved that, but I wasn't about to buy it twice. Also what a freaking cool into you have!

    On my camp chef I just take a paper towel and clean the grates, just get the big stuff off, leaving the oil base on the grates, or lightly brush with plastic brush, I don't like wire brushes, steel needles can get in your food if wire from brush stays on grate, seen a video were wire got lodged in a dude's throat

  • @lyleswavel320
    @lyleswavel320 4 роки тому

    If I get one I'm wearing leather gloves and buy 2 half grates were I can smoke 3 briskets or 6 racks of ribs, I have the Oklahoma joe bronco and love it using b&b Mesquite lump charcoal and pecan wood splits

    • @dsquebackyardbbq217
      @dsquebackyardbbq217  4 роки тому

      I think you and I will have a lot in common. I use the fireplace gloves and think they are one of the most underrated pieces of bbq equipment. I have the Bronco pro as well and absolutely love that thing. I do use wire brushes for certain grates only because it is effective in helping me keep crosscontamination back. I go over it after with a rage then i re-season a lot. Its overboard but I am very very overprotective when I cook for folks. Thanks for checking me out. We need to trade some pro tips on the bronco. I have had a vid on it but have been lazy in putting it together. Ill get it up soon.

    I love the way this grill works. I wish they would put a little more into the quality side. Been watching a lot of videos & I love how quickly it gets hot! If they made one with some better parts , I would buy one in a second! It’s an awesome grill. Just a little cheaply made. I know it’s only $500 but I’d pay more for a grill I knew that would last. Thanks for the video.

      You said! The metal is a tad thin but this thing gets hot pretty fast! I chalk it up to being the tasty equivalent of a gas grill. Glad I bought it ultimately. The shelf life will be tested because my wife likes it too. Thanks for the input and for checking me out! Have you found any tips or tricks that I should look out for?

      Dude! If you haven't seen or check out the big brother the 1050, you should!
      I checked out the 560 because it interested me. I opted to purchase the Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 because it's bigger and it seems to be better quality vs the 560. Of course, you'll pay a lot more than $499 + tax.
      Check it out! You'll see.

    Damn Bro!.......You got one of these too?!?! Man... I'm jealous! You know I like this Pit and would have crazy fun with it......but for now I will live my dream through You!
    Hey D.....what kinda wood on the rack in the back? Nice set up there! D.....can You do me a favor? Can You get a magnet and see if it sticks to that Fire/Heat Deflector
    that You cut yourself on. Yes.....wear gloves for safety! Ouch!!! Do You watch Brian @ MadHorse BBQ? He did a Mod where he added a piece of expanded Metal in the
    bottom of the charcoal chute. The smaller holes of expanded Metal helped to keep charcoal, especially the smaller bits of Lump from falling through the wide grate.
    Get down with your bad self......make some chicken! Your Wife Rocks!!!! 👍 \m/

      Im having a lot of fun with this. Despite wishing that i could insulate it better I have been having a ton of fun with it. I took a magnet to it and it does stick.. really nice grab. Matter of fact the whole unit stuck.
      I dont know why you are jealous since you built your own! You have the ultimate mod!!! Ive been surprised by the ease at which this thing churns out decent food. I need to give it a long cook test to see what flavor sticks to the meat. I will be looking into the expanded metal and there was a comment from 4wolverine about replacing the gasket. Gonna keep that in the back pocket. I saw where someone stuck some sheet steel down the chute to prolong the life there.
      Thanks as always for stopping over brother!
      I do kind of wish that you would get one so that we can see what mods you come up with for it

      Thanks for getting back to me with that info on the magnet. I asked because I thought I heard someone say that the heatbox/defector was Stainless????
      Know that I know it is not......that is a point of concern, in the way of Rust! Like you mentioned, someone added a Stainless sleeve to the hopper....
      hopefully someone will remanufacture a SS box for it, and make it available to users, because it is becoming such a popular item.
      If I had this Pit........That would be a Mod I would do. Won't be cheap......but it would last.
      Yes...a Real gasket would be a huge improvement too. 👍
      Well....You enjoy that Pit......I'll be watching! 👍 \m/

    • @dsquebackyardbbq217
      @dsquebackyardbbq217  4 роки тому

      @@HeavyMetalBarBQue i forgot t9 mention.. that is a bunch of maple behind the pit. I had a neighbor cut down a tree so I stocked up! You are right about the rust. The way the heat runs through there I can see it wearing sooner than i would prefer. They had this thing coated so heavily in oil when i unboxed it must have been a concern for someone at MB. I had to wipe some things down when assembling. So far... I like it though. No buyers remorse.
