I still have the iPhone 8 plus, I haven’t had any problems with it. I haven’t felt the need to upgrade. the only thing is, feels like my battery dies fast now. You guys think I’ll notice a big difference if I upgrade to the 12 or should I just might as well wait for the iPhone 13?
hey, the same happens to me. My cousins upgraded from the 8 plus to the 12 pro max and she told me that the battery’s life last all day (depending on the amount of apps downloaded and storage used). In any case, I would definitely recommend you to wait for the 13, we’re like 5-6 months apart so it’s not that long, unless you’re desperately needing an upgrade. 🖇
I have the 8 plus too and my battery is trash. It dies so quickly. I’m getting the 13, I think u should wait for this year iPhone. That would be an upgrade.

I've heard that the 2021 iPhones will go to a "pouch" like battery pack with a higher mAh rating than the iPhone 12 batteries. That could mean longer battery life per charge, very welcome especially on the next iPhone mini.

I have been having my iPhone 7 for past 4 years...it got slow and kinda boring, yk sometimes u hang out with friends and they be like oh u still have that phone ? And i wouldn't know how to respond because it used to work completely fine for me...until some recent changes... 2 months ago my phone stopped working , more likely the volume would always be on mute, what i mean with that is that for example i would make a video and i wouldn't be able to hear anything even though i was talking or i would call somebody and wouldn't be able to hear anything nor speak up. I went to some local place to have it fixed. It took them a looooot and after 2 months they weren't able to do anything,so they gave me the exact same phone in return ( i also had to pay :/) .. I now have that "new" iphone 7 back but ...i expected that it would be time for my "old" phone to break down so back in december i wanted to upgrade to iphone 11 pro-pro max but ended up keeping my old iPhone 7. Now i have an opportunity to buy a new phone, i saved up some money and I wanted to honor myself with an iPhone 12 pro for my birthday. I also watched some leaks of the brand new iPhone 13 which will come in September-October but I am not sure what i should do. I saw/heared that it is most likely to have a display touch id, no usb port and smaller notch, probably some changes in camera.
What do you guys recommend?

They will basically be identical under the hood. Do you need a big screen phone or would like a smaller screen, I think this is what it mainly is down to.

To be fair the 11 Pro Mac to the 12 Pro max is very similiar. But then again the 11 Pro Max to the XS Max is simulair but with just an extra camera lens. Each year Apple make tweaks and improvements here and there. Its why its best to upgrade to say from a iPhone 8 or X to the 12 or 12 Pro as you will see a noticable difference.
