Whenever I listen to Tindersticks, I have this weird impression that most of their songs are about a good hearted man who is betrayed and let down by others, with no remorse
Amazing song, beautiful chords, makes me think of those days when Tindersticks supported Nick Cave in London. Wearing pin stripe suits, even the fish in the barrel book launch, is this where they came in? And just like Nick keep producing fantastic music and text.
You could analyse how the melody works, the time signature etc. or you could just leave them to it, go with it and let it seep into you. Stunning piece of music.
could you guys help me? Is My Sister entirely fictional? I've been looking all over to see if it is just a completely made up story or if it's in some way semi-autobiographical
I understand your point, Grazioni's video was made according to what Stuart asked from the directors who made the videos. They had to produce something that was not an illustration of the song. I like this version because it was made by Stuart and Richard Dumas with Amaury Voslion, and this particuliar video is the only one that is telling the sotry of the song. A wonderful album, anyway.

I think there's no other song in the world that feels like written for me and about me, like this one does.
Lol.
Massive ego.
Essentially I've just said that I really resonate with this song and that touched me deeply...how is that a sign of having a massive ego? 🤔
I understood what you were saying... @@nachtreiter_

Stuart plays this game! With his beautiful voice. More than 25 years great fan!!!
We need more artists like him and his friends. Thanks!

I prefer the other video, made by Gregorio Grazioni.
