    "Evidence that demands a verdict " by Josh McDowell great book for Apologists it came out in the late 80's a newer 2018 version is available. We started studying this back in the day our pastor was big on defending the faith. Rare in the 1990's in South Central Los Angeles we found a blessing!!! Our pastor wanted us equipped!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🔥

    Thank God for Glory Baptist Church in West Philadelphia. This was a church filled with black men in a pastor who could teach and preach the Bible with his eyes shut!!! I'm so grateful did I grew up in that church in the hood. Because those teaching still this day has kept me grounded and has solidified my faith in Jesus Christ. So many people think that there weren't any solid churches in the black communities. However I came from one I can't tell you again how grateful I am that God did that for me in my family!!!!

    Perfect response. All episode. The whole conversation was well-discussed. Apologetics is so needed from Christians now, because we run into so many that have been confused by atheism, or hebrew Israelite, or new age. And being able to defend your faith entails being able to break it down to someone else so they can follow tge trail back to Truth.

    I'm only half-way through, but I just wanted to say God bless y'all!!!!! This may be one of the most, if not THE most sound channels I've come across on the topic/truth of Christianity(my judgment of its soundness comes from the Holy Spirit). As someone who only recently came (back) into the faith, after leaving 8 years ago at 18, you guys are doing important work. It's only so much Bible you can read in a day, and you can die tomorrow. So all us baby readers have, during time of initial study, is the words of what others “know” and the Holy Spirit to filter truth. In the meantime, thank you guys so much for y'all's obedience to God and being grounded in His Word. & I thank God that His gifts of power, love and a sound mind are in HIGH saturation, on this channel. Keep it up! Love ♥️

    My opinion is that the root of many of these deceptive doctrines is that many Christians do not believe the Bible/Word of God is the Truth. I believe at some point every Christian has to ask themselves "Do I really believe the Bible is true, free of any errors, and complete in and of itself." IF you say "No" to that of course you have no foundation to stand on concerning your beliefs. The foundation of what Christians are to believe is found in God's Word. When they Holy Spirit speaks to us (audibly) He will not contradict the Word of God. We have to come to a point where we Trust God's Word.

    Jesus went into Egpyt when his mom was pregnant with him to be preserved from Herod who sought to kill him. That's why God called Jesus out of Egypt. It is also a parallel to Joseph who was also preserved in Egypt from death to save the world from a famine. Jesus saves the world from our sin.

      Also, anyone can study, A Muslim reads the Quran, A mathematician study maths, Christians read the bible etc but what I think makes a huge difference in Christianity is the relationship with Jesus through prayer (constantly talking to each other about anything, anytime, anywhere). A relationship that is so personal, more than that of husband and wife, father and daughter etc. If the heart can be opened, the mark of the relationship can be seen through it. That is what makes reading the bible (if we can) different from everyone .......

    The problem is, people keep asking regular people to explain or demonstrate the super hero's powers, go to God himself.
    It's because those people aren't looking for the truth they're looking to be proven right that God can't possibly exist because their brains can't wrap around that belief, so they keep getting into discussions with believers and believers use scriptures that non believers already don't believe in, so they are just looking for holes in the logic, not open to anything. When all you need to say is if you truly want to know the truth go to the source. God is not people. He is the only one who can demonstrate his true power to a non believer so tell them to humble themselves and give him a real shot without going to him with your preconceived doubts, clear your heart and ask him to show you what you need to see to believe. Because if you are just arguing just to be right, what's the point? you're not interested in being saved you just want to prove you cannot be. Your salvation is between you and God and if you really cared to know you would ask him yourself.
    Basically I can tell you that stars exist all day but it means nothing if you never turn your own neck to look up at them.- ME

      So for context, Jesus is replying to the Pharasees in confirmation of His deity since they claimed he was blasphemous toward YHWH. when He says "ye are gods", he is speaking in the context of them being the keepers, enforcers and the writers of the law. What T Howard is saying is that we are spiritual and metaphysical creators. However, if I, an average citizen, don't own land, if I do not make the laws of this land or anything, that means I am not a god nor a lord over anything other than my household. And even then, I still give all glory to God. So T Howard missed the mark on that one to me. Praise the Lord.

    It is 2024 and Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever it is written! And your appeal to man having power to distort God’s inspired word is based off of an assumption and a blatant denial of his omnipotence, sovereignty and the list goes on. I pray you understand that you have no argument for what the early church believed. You gotta go back and read Acts and look at what the Church Fathers believed. All affirmed God is Triune, the pre-eminence of Christ and etc… While certain manuscripts were copied by Scribes back in that time (true) I think it’s important for you to ask yourself this question, if you believe to some degree that the God of the Bible is real, why do you deny 2 Peter 1:21 and prove that you are the person in 2 Tim 3:5. If Scriptures validity is your issue give real evidence? My evidence which comes from scriptures says that to you. I pray you awaken, repent and believe. Jesus is alive!!

    It's 2024. It's well-established now the Bible is NOT the word of God. It is literally the word of men ABOUT God. The scribes who wrote the manuscripts often changed the words to reflect their own ideologies or fit their own desires. It also does not align with what the earliest Christians believed. The gospels in the Bible are the ones that were chosen for political reasons. Please study what the Bible actually is; especially if you really want to follow Jesus and his actual teachings.

    • @nunya54
      @nunya54 4 місяці тому

      @@thatk.t.a._flow Sure, many manuscripts included in the Bible were written by Paul. Paul was established to be a liar by Jewish academics who found he lied about being rabbinically trained to exude an air of authority about himself to teach his peculiar teachings of Jesus as they were a continuation of Jewish teachings; they were not. He also lied before James and the elders (Acts 21). He was accused for having taught false things about the law telling people to forsake Moses; he was critical of the laws of Moses that Jesus himself followed and said he came to uphold, and that James and the disciples and the first Church, the earliest Christians practiced upon for centuries after Jesus. He is bearing witness that he upholds the law but in his letters he said the law had been abolished. If this is taken as historical, he's bearing false witness. Not just telling lies to James; he has perjured himself before God. The Ebionites repudiated Paul; considered him an apostate of the law and a heretic. He was teaching ideas that Jesus did not teach, like his teaching of salvation that modern Christianity, after the third century adopted, which the disciples refuted (Jame and Jude do in their epistles, for example).
      There are other examples from those who wrote the gospels, which, of course, we don't know who they are, inventing stories. John's gospel, for example, much of it can't be found in earlier New Testament manuscripts. No one in all of Christian history knows who the author of John is. The first it is known about is from Irenaeus who is believed to be the author (and who also would invent stories about other people rising from the dead to bolster the story about Jesus - the early church fathers were known to lie and not record the whole truth, sadly). They do know he was embellishing. Matthew, as well, in his gospel, for example, writes Jesus into prophecies that don't exist. In doing so, he makes many mistakes indicating that he was. He has many well-known mistakes. Chapter 27, verse 9, for example. Then was fulfilled what had been spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel...' The statement he ascribes to Jeremiah is not found anywhere in the Old Testament Book of Jeremiah. A passage similar to it, however, is found in Zechariah 11:13. Horne observed in his Bible commentary (Vol.2/pp.385-386): "Some scholars think that it is an error of Matthew's version and the copier wrote Jeremiah instead of Zechariah; or it may be a later addition."
      Another of Matthew's famous errors is found in his Gospel at 2:23: 'And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called Nazarene.' This prophecy is not found in any of the books of the prophets in the Old Testament. Manfred, a Catholic scholar, wrote in his The Questions of the Question: "The books which contained this description have been destroyed, because in any of the present books of the Prophets we do not find the statement that Jesus would be called a 'Nazarene'."
      Matthew takes every conceivable pain to show how these prophecies have been fulfilled in the person of Jesus, even though sometimes he has to stretch the evidence to make his point. Eager to get on with the task at hand, he introduces his first prophecy early on in his Gospel: 'All this took place to fulfil what the Lord had said through the prophet: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel.' (Matthew 1:22-23) This prophecy is found in the Old Testament at Isaiah 7:14. Matthew sees in this a referral to Mary (the virgin) and Jesus (a son called Immanuel). Unfortunately, when Christians initially quoted these old prophecies, they used Greek translations which were untrue to the Hebrew originals. This passage is a prime example. There is no mention of a virgin in the original prophecy, the Hebrew word for which is bthulah. The word in the prophecy (which Matthew and other Christians render as virgin) is the Hebrew word almah which signifies a young woman, maiden or damsel of marriageable age. The error no doubt was made by a translator during the copying of Isaiah into Greek and Matthew, unaware of the original Hebrew, merely followed the translated wording.
