I agree it was great although i dont agree on his asessment of jiu jitsu cardio vs wreslting cardio, you use different muscles and wrestling is more anerobic with more high intensity burst and scrambling, and depending on your ground style they can be drasticaly different in terms of anerobic and aerobic output or they are with most athletes maybe someone like nicky rod and jay rod are different cause they are always balls to the wall all the time.

Alot of time you can get an easy over hook hip toss when you stop pushing on the head and they come right back into you. The leg they have a hold of for the single becomes the "hip" of the throw.

The problem with wrestlers teaching Jiu-jitsu is that they're unaware of submissions. For example, holding a single leg by shelving the knee like described in this video makes you incredibly vulnerable to Kani Basami and getting your knee blown out. But, to each their own 🤷

@@gmartins it's absolutely always important to practice technique with safety in mind.
Shelving a single leg in this way makes it dangerous because the shelving leg is susceptible to Kani Basami. If you want a stomach ache, I recommend one Google injuries associated with it.

Good to see y'all finally doing this. BJJ competitions are getting really boring, even with the best of you. Basically, if you don't know takedowns, you're a BJJ scrap. Grappling starts on the feet, and if you're up against somebody with decent takedown defense who's throwing 90-mph kicks at your head and you can't take him to the ground, you're just a punching bag. Similarly, pull guard against that guy. You're getting kicked or beat with a bat while you scoot around the ground like a dog with worms.
