Have a Nice Death is a hand-drawn 2D Action Rogue-Lite where you play as Death, Founder and CEO of Death Incorporated-a sprawling corporate empire that processes souls for the afterlife-who currently finds himself teetering on the edge of burnout. His top executives, the Sorrows, have been running rampant on Earth’s surface, blatantly ignoring company protocols, leaving him buried in an underworld-sized mountain of paperwork. Now, in order to regain control of his company and soul-ply chain, as well as secure a much-needed vacation, he will need to traverse the various departments of Death Incorporated and remind his unruly subordinates who’s boss.

When Life Gives You Curses - Taking more power for yourself is a controversial move in Death Incorporated’s company culture. For instance, adopting a Curse upgrade for yourself might result in the Labor Inspector granting your subordinates enhanced powers, or worse, raising the cost of koffee and other items that are vital to your work output

This looks more and more like a fun game. The dark humor is on point and the gameplay looks fantastic

This game looks awesome. Fast-paced action, roguelike elements, dark humor done right, adorable jack-o-lantern secretary...what more do you need? Console ports, that's what.

Death is like the firstborn son-weary, morose, sick and tired of everyone and everything, constantly disregarded, undervalued, and pushed over by everyone, and of course strenuous, and always required to do something, while others reap the pleasures. Then someone who is an totally opposite, and who unlike others, treats him nicely comes in to help him out. The possibilities are endless here

Your comment- I relate to it far more than I care to think about. Still, it does leave me to wonder if I'll find that "someone who's a total opposite" that can properly help me. I got this as an ad and I actually watched the whole thing as soon as I saw the pumpkin guy
That "Welcome to the af-ter-liiiife" jingle is seriously amazing, I might see if I can make it my notification alert sound
It’s high praise when a video comes up as a UA-cam ad and I want to keep watching instead of skipping. It’s rare but it happens.
And on that big vacation, Death played a game of limbo, and lost, forever enslaved as the “best friend forever” of Billy and Mandy.

I like how Death is super tall in the history video prompting two possible conclusions:
1. Death is so ancient it's done the cartoon old person thing of getting really short in it's old age.
2. The video is just straight up propaganda to make Death look more imposing.
Presumably he's been working his ass off to the point he lost height, becoming softer whilst the Sorrows began to get out of control. Death never lost any potency, but he's got an entire company to go through, with rebellious demigods going against him
This game looks so cool and interesting, i just wonder how much it costs

That little jingle catches the tone of the game well. Haunting, corporate yet has a charming theme that gives the game its own identity.
