- The bodies of three surfers were found in a well in Mexico, days after they were reported missing. Reports say brothers Callum, 33, and Jake Robinson, 30, of Australia, and Jack Rhoad, 30, of California were shot to death while on a surfing trip to Baja California. The prosecutor reportedly said investigators believe the men were killed by people who wanted to take their truck. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
Yeah no dude. I like going on vacations but Mexico to me is a no go. And I’m saying this as a Mexican.
Even cabo?
I am not Mexican, but living in California, I enjoy all the culture, community, and productivity of the Mexican people. I don’t ever intend to see any of Mexico ever again.
@@Godson1141 You know the cartels run the resorts right?
Wow dude
I went to Mexico twice and stayed my butt on the resort
It’s safer to just be an anti social introvert these days…
Here here
Can't live forever mate.
Just going to the store is dangerous these days.
That is me.
Facts! My coworkers get mad because I don’t come out to the bars and clubs with them every weekend but every time Monday morning comes back there’s always stories of somebody getting in a fight or something.
Don't go to Mexico!
That's literally what the U.S wants you to believe 💀
Right cuz there's no killing anywhere else but Mexico
Millions go every year and return home safely, but stay home you couldn’t afford it anyhow.
I'm from México. Americans say you shouldn't go to Mexico, you should believe them, go tourism in Australia.
Don't go to Mexico??? Don't have to. Mexico is coming here daily.
I’m Mexican and I don’t even go to Mexico
😂
I’m in Mexico right now having a wonderful vacation
we dont need you
Im white and I dont even go to Mexico
Bro, you're probably some no sabo kid.
I'm Brazilian and I say don't go to Brazil, it's dangerous
Wait this happened in Brazil?
@@brianlevine249 no, this happened in mexico, but brazil is not diferent
@@brianlevine249 No but Brazil is really bad even when compared to mexico... always have more problems in brazil than I do mexico.
@@thomgizzizYes, but the Mexican cartel is more cruel and we don't have cities taken over by drug trafficking, just the favelas
as a brazilian he speaking facts my mom has told me nothing but bad stories from there when she grew up
I'm mexican american and I don't go to Mexico to visit bc of the same thing the cartels ,the violence in women these men do also to women in mexico...
Hopefully no more tourist go to Mexico. Maybe then the govt will do something about all the crime there first.
@@jdos5643 HILARIOUS !!!!

Most guns in Mexico were made in the US
I get what you're saying,but it happens every where.👍
@@kennyc388 I don’t get it….
It's been unsafe for many many years and people(tourists) disregard that saying it isn't, but the cartels run the show down there, always have always will, you can roll the dice over and over again but unsafe is unsafe.
I am never going to mexico
More Americans died this year from crimes in U.S than in Mexico
But you still go to Taco Bell
You don't need to, Mexico is coming to you.
@@Justice10927 🤔
@@Justice10927 You can live a lifetime in Mexico and be fine, but you definitely won't survive a lifetime of eating Taco Bell.
Honestly I'd take my chances with Mexico.
what is there to protest though? this isn't a government? It's some thugs that aren't going to listen or don't care
Illegals
Their government (and the US's) enabled this. Corruption in Mexico is insane and has allowed violent crime and trafficking to go virtually unchecked in some regions.
Driving through rural Mexico in a pickup truck as a foreigner... what could go wrong?
Going to buy food in rural mexico, what could go wrong ?
Right I don’t even think
That’s why you don’t go to far from the US border.
People really don’t understand how dangerous it is Down there. And people wonder why they want to come to the US.
People come to the US because of the exchange rate
@@WaffleSauze Really? Nothing to do with what led to that exchange rate?
The US is not too much safer. Do you know how many murders there is in this country every year they got a whole channel dedicated to American murders the ID channel
@WaffleSauze not anymore. Straight up invasion 2.0 unless your deaf and blind you have to realize this. 15,000 / day 105,000 / 7 day week and that's just through the southern border.

Hmm after cancelling my Haiti trip, I had rescheduled to Mexico..... Chicago here I come, what could go wrong?
Stay away from trendy Bucktown on Chicago's Northwest side where there was a string
of five armed robberies in less than an hour this past Saturday.
Chicago =Mexico
Some psychopath goes trigger happy? Genuinely, nowhere is safe nowadays.
😂 be safe
😆
Mexico has become too dangerous for foreigners to visit. Sad, its a beautiful country, awesome food, warm people.
I agree 100% with you and I’m Latino. Thank you for your very kind words too 🤗 Have a nice day 👍
Well cartels confuse tourists as terrorists trying to steal or take their land/farm
Im Mexican and im appalled by this
Rest in peace compas.
Stop visiting dangerous countries if you’re not from there.
its mostly safe in towns and cities i think they were wilderness surf camping which is dangerous out in the middle of nowhere
This crime is sensationalism put out by the U.S government in retaliation to try to destabilize the country. Nothing new
That why you couldn’t pay me to
To this crooked country
Danger lies every where
America is one of the most dangerous countries out there. Do you know how many people lose their lives in America daily for the same exact reason over a car or a truck?
This is very sad news. I won't go to Mexico anymore. I surfed, baja California 35 years ago. The world has changed. RIP
So did it happen in Baja or Mexico???
Does news like that just fly over your head or something? What make you go to such a place?
Mexico has been unsafe for a very long time. Living 2.5 hours from the Mexican border for many decades, we used to hear about vacationers' horror stories. My friend's uncle, who was in his 20s and in the US military, went to Mexico for a weekend vacation and vanished. When he was found -- deceased -- his internal organs had been removed.
Yeah dont downplay the cartel in mexico. trips to mexico should be reconsidered
What did they do to upset the cartel?
Nothing to do with the cartel😂
Cartel is smart enough to stay away from murdering US citizens. These were local idiots.
Attaching a cartel to this crime is crazy
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307 Cartels like trucks.
Why do people keep going to Mexico? What part of "dangerous and high crime rate" do they don't understand?
Don't go to mexico that simple
America also has rampant violence
What’s your point???
im American and visit Baja regularly. this is extremely unlikely and unfortunate to happen and has nothing to do with Mexico. you could get carjacked and murdered anywhere
It’s in California……
@@Mokawoo No it isnt. Its Baja California, Mexico. Its IN the country of Mexico.
We don't have to, Mexico is here.
My deepest condolences to their families and friends. This is so sad. They weren't bothering anyone, just three guys wanting to spend some quality surf time together. God bless, stay safe.

@@henlohenlo689 life is a little to expensive to pay for surfing
You have to be insane, arrogant, or naive to think you can just take road trips in rural Mexico these days.
I grew up in SoCal and I used to go down there a few times in the 60-70s. Almost ended up in a similar situation with two of my friends. I planned our escape just in time, and we got the hell out of there. Now that I’m a lot older, and somewhat wiser, I wouldn’t step foot in Mexico these days. 😟
I have went to the resorts u go from the plane straight to the resorts and that’s it. Anytime people decide to drive themselves once they get past that border themselves they run into problems.
Former CIA and now UA-camr Jason Hanson says under no circumstances would he ever go to Mexico. He was offered a job to train people with a full security detail and he still refused.
C.I.A must be a soft white boy. I'm here rn.. and have been for 5 yrs ... as an American. Never had a issue.

I'm Australian and have a friend that loves Surfing in Mexico, I didn't know the 3 Ozzie's that were killed.
My friend was going to go back to Mexico a couple of months ago, I've told my friend that with the world as it is at the moment he'd be safer to stay home .
I feel so sorry for the family's involved may God's Angel's watch over and keep them safe 🙏 ❤
I spent time on “mainland” Mexico on a surf trip with a mate, in and around Punta de Mita, in the late 90’s. Couldn’t have met a nicer, more accommodating people. I have fond memories of this place. I’m sad this happened. May they dearly rest in peace.
The people who committed these crimes don't care.

I live in El Paso Texas and let me tell you I hardly travel across the border it's extremely dangerous if you don't know your environment and especially if you're not from Mexico there's an old saying when in Rome do as a Romans do be careful where you go be careful where you travel to and make sure you look up thoroughly what you're getting yourself into I know it's hard and you can't account for every mishap and error but you can do as much as you can there's plenty of a beautiful beaches around the world You just got to choose the right one where you know you will be safe as a Tourist god bless those men
Dam that's not a good place to Surf. Too many gangs
Where's the credit of the music being used in the background
Stayed in Cancun like way back and the day we arrived at our hotel somebody got killed right outside of it…
No way, in the resorts "never happens nothing"
Cancun is not safe now.

When you go to another place it is important to never flaunt wealth. ❤
It’s insane. I went to Mexico City not too long ago and loved it there. It’s sad that this happens in some parts of Mexico similar to America and India. Seems like dangerous is everywhere.
What's the point of stealing a vehicle for its license plate when it's going to be immediately reported stolen, thus rendering the plate a liability?
RIP to the men.
Because it's Mexico so you can get away with crime fairly easily
Illegals. They conveniently leave that part out
For the TRUCK. Not the license plate. They steal trucks constantly down there because the cartels use them especially if they had 4WD.
they can easily hide the truck then swap the plate, vin, etc or sell it for parts. Not saying its right but the motive is there for sure.
They risked it for the biscuit...and lost.
Was this a few years ago? I was driving down the coast when two Australians were killed. 2017 I think. Everyone was talking about it in places I stayed. The other side of that story was that they were getting drunk and obnoxious in bars and insulting the locals. Eventually the locals decided to track them down and rob them. The men resisted and ended up needlessly dead.
Not sure if this was a different murder or the same one.
Be polite and respectful and just surf you stand very little chance of this happening to you.
This is a different event and it just happened recently.
This just happened last week
I think you're thinking of another two Australians who were murdered by the cartel travelling through Mexico in 2015.
@@sara_387 yes, my mistake. This is a current situation and a different case. I see that now.
I went to Mexico a few months back to attend my grandmother‘s funeral, and I went through the Texas Laredo crossing, had a gun to my head within the first five minutes after leaving the Mexican customs.
Praying for the families I can't even understand .... This is devastating
This is going to definitely prevent many from going down to Mexico. So senseless - the Cartel thugs could have stolen their truck, taken what they had on them, and left them - Alive to walk back to town. Horrible. May they rest in Peace; Condolences to the family and friends...💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻💜🙏🏻

When I was enlisted in the army we were told that we could not go to Mexico because they would kidnap a soldier and hold them for ransom.
