I watched this video for the first time over 3 years ago and have never forgotten about it. This video inspired me to respond to Jesus. I’ve been in full-time ministry ever since ❤️ Life with Jesus is the best life you could ever live.

This was the greatest sermon I have heard in 10 years ... plain , simple and real . Changed my life . I have a missionary heart and it’s boiling inside of me I am ready to live a poured out life
I'm answering to the calling now, at age 40. My wife, my son and I are about to leave everything behind to follow the steps of Jesus. And I never felt so free. Thanks for these words of encouragement. I might suffer pain and loss, but I rest in God' Shalom.
Amen brother God don't look at age. I done mission work years ago. And now I'm going again for good at the age of 54. I will do nothing else for the rest of my life. My life belongs to him. I'm not my own. God bless and keep fighting on.

Hi there I just saw your comment on this. How is it going. My husband and I are turning 40 and he wants to go back into missions. We did it about 10years ago for 2 years but since then have been working and now feel the time is right, yet I am so fearful of going especially now with the economy that is bad. I’m fearful of the furtue
@@chantelminaar8506 after two years in the field, we had to come back. Even though leaving everything then and leaving everything again after just two years took a lot of effort and tears, it was more than worth it. I know God and myself more deeply now and embrace the place I left back then as my new mission field, at least until God leads me somewhere else.
Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude and courage. Wherever the issionary goes, in whatever part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. The local people must understand what the missionary is saying to them. The missionary must get the Word right to the people! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yuriy Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language. This excellent book will give you answers how to correctly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book answers many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. Good luck with your important work!

So much truth here! Jesus didn't say he would select a few to go, He just said go... And I'm so thankful for the journey God leads us on when we say yes!
Wow..... Since I have been called, I have been looking for colleges, for situations at mission trips and camps to do what God has told me to do, when there are teenagers at my school suffering because I have never told them of the only news. Thank you for opening my eyes, and please pray for me to start obeying fully, not partially.
You should look into Bethany Global University... if you havent already. They have a hands-on approach to getting believers prepared for missionary work.
You helped me out so much right now... I didn't know if God still wanted me there doing His will or not but He just said trought you... If not who then who? Thank you Lord so much!

BTW, my wife and I have been in Davao City, Philippines for ten years. In January we will move to another part of the Philippines to start (by the grace of God) a third congregation.

this is a powerful video that speaks much truth. I would clarify that we do have a choice and option in how we respond to the great commission though. and not everyone is called to be an international evangelist. Some are senders, others are goers. some are stayers that sow where they are planted and there is nothing wrong or condemning about that. Some have the gift of helps and are humble folks serving the Lord in churches in their home countries. If they feel that is what the Lord has for them, and they steward that gift and responsibility rightly, whether big or small, they are playing their crucial part in the body. We are to be making disciples, but that can also mean on a local level, taking existing Christians and teaching them and training them in godliness through bible study. Maybe they will be ones raised up by this to go.
Now, I say all of this as someone who went to China as a missionary for 11 months. I was going to go with a brother, but he bailed. so I went alone to a city of 10 million. I spoke about 4 sentences of Chinese. I know something about missions and trusting the Lord and following Him. Not a lot, but something. But I also don't guilt people into mission. I'm not saying this video is doing that, but it borders it.
You know what led me to the mission field? FIRST was a powerful realization of just how good God is. how much he has done for me personally. If we don't see the cross as something Jesus did for YOU, and we just see it as general love for the whole world, you won't realize how much He loves you and you won't be empowered or motivated unto mission. Sit at the cross. Bask in the gospel. We never outgrow it. And from there the love and joy of what we have in Christ will propel you. The joy of the Lord is our strength. We will get so excited about Him if we draw near and just sit at His feet, through worship, quiet time in the word, and prayer. We will have a fire lit that hell can't match. We will WANT to do mission. I couldn't contain myself the first three years I was a Christian. I wanted to share Him with everyone. I still do, but I have to say, that flame can become an ember we have to fan into flame again if we don't watch it.
Spiritual warefare is real. Demons target you the more you move for the kingdom. But it. is. worth. it. You want to experience God's reality and power and faithfulness like never before? there are special promises in the bible, some of the most powerful, for those who seek first the kingdom.
Also, one other aside, the burning bush experience was not about God telling Moses not to do something. it was about calling him to his mission, so I don't really understand that interpretation. I do see how you could view it as God saying he was not to just stay as a shepherd of sheep in the hills somewhere, but the text never states that. Bless you all!

Joil, to be sure you are called (through prayer and worship), to receive a personal word from the Holy Spirit, is sooo important and adds to your faith when you go. But to go when you are NOT called is dangerous and puts you in strange places with no power. Thats when accidents happen or worse. God has to rescue you, because you made a mistake.
Where in the Bible does it say this?
Not everybody and everyone get a chance to service humanity and mankind
