    I love the image of deVOL’s Bloomsbury kitchen that shows the range in the center, dark green cabinets and walls, with open dark green cabinet on the left with glassware, and open dark green cabinet on the right with dishes.

    Fantastic video! While I love moody rooms, I do like a lighter kitchen with lighter countertops, as I think it’s more functional. I’d love to see this style video dedicated to small kitchens. While I love no uppers, storage is an issue in a smaller kitchens, and workspace is an issue with full wall storage. I’d love to get inspiration for beautiful small kitchens that are functional for cooks!

    I am a new subscriber and am really enjoying your videos, I am finding them extremely helpful and more importantly unbiased without the affiliation of an employee from a company. Now is there a video on where or how to find a great kitchen designer! someone like yourself who has taste but without that sort of sales pitch, been there and had that. Not so many can or do think outside the box and so very many kitchens look samey with the odd design thingy if you know what I mean. This as with your other videos is very helpful thank you.

    • @kitchinsider
      @kitchinsider  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much! Pleased to hear you're finding them helpful.
      I know what you mean about some designers, they can be a little more 'sales people' then designers, which can be very off putting.
      I always recommend going to a few kitchen designers/showrooms and getting different designs done. Hopefully you get some different options/ideas but more importantly get a feel for the designer and if you think they would be a good fit with you. Sometimes you can just tell. Good video topic though, i'll add it to my list!

      @@kitchinsider Thank you very much for your helpful reply which I shall certainly take on board, its going to be a long hard slog but hopefully in the end! Very pleased you noted my rather obvious knock, knock regarding this topic, I feel there are many of us out here who are in the same boat and honestly there isn't anywhere or anyone to turn to, a comprehensive list of tried and trusted's would be amazing especially as I am in the UK You would think being in London that I would be spoiled for choice but........... Thank you, Ramon.

    What an inspiring video! Yes, please make this a series. My favorite is the last one - green cabinets with white marble, and love the pocket doors. I'm in the US, so would love to see more brands available here. Are you familiar with Form Kitchens? They have the modern European style cabinets and are available in the US.

    I'm not a fan of islands any more. I also tried a kitchen with no upper cabinets and gutted it in a matter of months. Upper cabinets to the ceiling and a handsome wooden table is the look that resonates with me now. Japanese or Japandi styles look fresh.

    My favorite is the first one with the wood Island. All those kitchens are beautiful though they must cost a fortune. What is your opinion on IKEA kitchen + other brands for cabinets doors and hardware (plums, super front reform…etc). I leave in France, do you have any suggestions for budget friendly kitchen with durability and design? Thanks for your help.

    • @kitchinsider
      @kitchinsider  2 роки тому +1

      I do love that kitchen! 😁
      I think IKEA cabinets are great for their price point and versatility. As you mention, going custom for the fronts can really elevate them. Lots of good companies doing custom fronts (there's a UK one called husk I really like).
      I'm afraid being in the UK I'm not familiar with many kitchen brands in France (other than schmidt) so it's difficult for me to suggest anyone, sorry. Thanks for watching!

      I can't say I'm a fan of marble or granite countertops. There's something jarring that a material that took millions of years to for under immense pressure and temperatures is used in such an off hand cosmetic manner. Personally I prefer wood or laminate. It has a warmer feel to it and wood is very forgiving. If it gets stained or has too many gougesyou can just sand it down and apply either oil or varnish to bring it back

      Thanks so much! 😁 The ones I pointed out were all Quooker taps.
      As for safety - Boiling water taps all have child safety locks/special ways to turn on the boiling water. You can't just turn the boiling tap on, there's always an extra step for safety. (hold button down then push, push twice then hold down etc...) Also, some are aerated (add air into the water flow) to help in case you run your hand underneath, it won't scald the same as a solid water flow. You can read a bit more about them and my favourite ones here - kitchinsider.com/best-boiling-water-taps/

    I love the marble worktops! However, I’ve been warned against using marble as it stains easily and I use a lot of tumeric, beetroot and other stain prone ingredients when I cook. Can you recommend an alternative material that is just as bold and veiny?

    I do enjoy your presentatione but fashion is deceptive. I doubt this minimalist style will be looked upon in years to come as anything but incredibly bland and boring other than some splashbacks
