Glad to see you back! You gave me loads of ideas for design and function for my dream kitchen for my 1920 craftsman foursquare. Finished it a few months ago and it turned out beautifully.
What a great selection of different kitchen styles. I think the beachy style is me - white with a splash of colour. 9 years ago I designed my kitchen with mostly white and grey with an accent if of pomegranate red. We have moved overseas and I'm about to put in another and still it will be similar mostly white, white doors, white and grey bench and some navy cabinet doors.
Your videos are incredibly helpful! Thank you for providing wonderful design elements that I would have never thought to use for my kitchen renovation!
You missed my kitchen style... your favorite, Grandma-Chic 😂 But, seriously, I've always loved the vintage, floral, knick-knack decor. There's nothing as comforting as Grandma's house ❤️
Your videos are always so organized and packed with info. Helpful to see so many kitchen styles back to back along with key info. I was leaning towards Coastal for our new build but your video just cinched the deal. We're going 'Coastal'!
Love this. Provides me with some pointers. Definitely favour the Japandi, mid-century modern and biophilic styles. One thing: there's a quite a lot of flashing/flickering in the video. Not sure what caused it ...
I guess our kitchen plans would be considered warm minimalism. Scandi cabinets from Reform with light blue/gray linoelum fronts, wood countertop and harlequin linoleum floor = all sustainable materials. We are hoping our electric cna be upgraded to acommodate an induction cooktop. Another great video, thanks!
I'd have to say Boho because every room in my house Is more eclectic. I love color and I want a wooden countertop with flat panel or inset cabinet front. Oh and drawers for the bottom cabinets. Several styles are incorporated into my dream kitchen.
My favorite is Cottage with beadboard backsplash and simple corbel brackets under cabinets, some open storage for display. All the better if I could afford refurbished vintage or reproduction vintage appliances.
Oooof! Your videos have been my faves and have helped me so much in planning my most perfect kitchen (soon to be) in my new house. BUT... this video has confused me! hahaha.. I have NO idea what style I would call mine. I mean, I have very specific wants - Black lowers (all drawers) with brushed brash pulls, white quartz counter top and backsplash (10" high and up behind range hood), no uppers, stainless appliances, black sink, stainless faucet, and a wall of pantry possibly a different color - like a warm light color wood. Like I said - specific and intentional. but still no idea what to call it. I'm thinking maybe contemporary/minimal-ish? Either way... this was fun!!! (I watched a few times)
Thank you Michael! Well, since I live on the west coast of Florida, I am going to choose Coastal. Actually, I have taken design quizzes and they have come out as Coastal. My whole life I have been a blue and white girl, so it fits. Thanks for a fun video!
Veneer design mid century modern,, second one brown with splashes of colour. Can't find it on their website. I'd replace my brand new kitchen with that one.
Noticed another “across the pond” difference in word usage in this video that I’ve caught a couple of times in other videos but never commented on before. You referred to cottage style as being very warm and “homely”. In the US the word homely means ugly! 😂 The word we would use to mean what I think you were expressing is “homey” without the L.
In the UK "homely" used to describe someone who has a rather "plain" appearance; but not ugly. This was often used as a supposedly inoffensive term 😁😀.
Hi Michael, May I please get your opinion on organic modern design? I have 2 designs kitchen. One is u shape with a big window looking a nice large view which it cannot fit an island and the second choice is relocated the kitchen and built an island but it will be indirect lights and add plenty of artificial ones. So natural lights vs kitchen island and achieve organic modern. I enjoy cooking and want an island but love natural lights. Please guide me.
Hey Michael! Please help! We just purchased our first condo (in development) and I have 1 month to give the developers our final kitchen plans. Please help us with our final decision for our kitchen theme! Floors are grey marble and we’ll have gold accents (faucet, pendant lights, etc). And our top cabinets will be white (small kitchen, will help feel airy). Question is about the bottom cabinets under the countertop, should they be: - (a) bluish grey - for modern feel + match with gold, or - (b) oak wood color to make kitchen feel warm, homie feeling. Also fits with gold accents. Floors are grey marble ;) please help :)
Awesome breakdown! Let's go Coastal!!

We're going to renovate the kitchen and I can't make any decision, I like everything 😂 I guess our kitchen will have multiple personality
❤ Traditional and Transitional styles.

These options can inspire us to transform our culinary spaces into a true reflection of our personal style. Love it! ❤❤
Warm minimalist definitely! I love everything hidden!

Wow, I never knew that one! 😂
I read a lot of British authors and I still stumble over that!

Contemporary/minimalistic for the win. Sleek, elegant and functional.
Thank you.
Industrial boho with a touch of biophilic.
Japandi and scandi every time.
🍃Japandi! 🍃
With the ubiquitous use of air fryers in all types of kitchens have an effect on kitchen design..it’s not an appliance most people will put away .

I’m confused on the difference between farmhouse and cottage.
I think my kitchen style is Boho Traditional🫙🥣🍓🥗🪴….after traveling around in the military, I’ve really had to mesh different decor pieces together😘
