If anyone was for some reason on the fence about buying this gem of a series, its been brought over to xbox seamlessly with a great weapon wheel to make things easy to navigate and overall all I could ever want, easiest buy ever haha
It’s got some performance issues it stutters quite a bit when moving apart from that the games are great on Xbox

I was just comparing this with footage of the game on PS5 and it definitely looks better on Xbox. It would make sense I guess since it's running in backwards compatibility mode, and BC mode on PS5 is more limited plus the resolution might be set based on PS4 Pro while the SX version might have the resolution of One X. That could be why it seems higher res on Xbox IMO.
I'm more of a playstation guy but considering 2 is coming to game pass I might as well get it on SX for the slightly better graphics and better possibility of mods/HD textures.
You can actually enable ray tracing on the PC version, it runs on a single CPU core and its only for artificial light sources but can make a huge difference specially in the underground places.
I remember using it in 2007 with like 5 fps LOL
With all these games coming to Series X my PC is becoming an UA-cam machine 😂
Surprised and extremely happy this was put on console, with a perfectly done port to boot. Plays super smooth 60fps at all times, looks identical to the PC version, and the controller implementation is excellent. It felt like it was always a console game and that is not something easy to achieve in an older, and rather complex PC game. I'm a few hrs in now to Shadow of Chernobyl and I'm completely hooked. It's hard as hell, but personally I don't think it ever feels unfair. As long as you save often, you can load up to before a firefight, etc. and just tackle the situation in a different way and come out on top.
If you were on the fence, as long as you don't mind the difficulty, I would highly recommend picking this gem of a game up!

I'm a Halo/fps stan. The controls are obviously not that precise like halo/destiny, but it's a very wise choice in my opinion. Stalker would be WAY too easy with an aggressive aim assist like other fps on consoles.
I just disabled the aim assist, and the game is freaking awesome on series x. 20 hours in it and going strong💯💯
@@PIOVRAMEWelcome to the PC's worst kept secret in gaming! Been a fan since day 1 in 2007 and always preached far and wide about this. I brought dozens of people over to this series if not more. So glad our brethren on consoles get to experience this total gem!
they're not meant to be like other FPS. Frankly the inaccuracy of the guns is part of why it's so fun. You feel so much more vulnerable because you're not rambo.
Actually it is X optimized. It doesn't run 4k60 on Xbox One. It's not an actual Series X game but it is optimized through backwards compatibility on PS5 and SX
Sure, but it's in a different way and obviously not native in any way at all. It's not even 9 aware, so it seems to be using modified versions of the Xbox One versions, just with an unlocked framerate option.

Imagine every gen we got jumps like from this to say Metro Exodus, your mind would be blown away, i bought a PC just to play this when i was a kid, Da had decent rig, he was on PC for.....ehhh....other 'stuff' 😂 but to his credit there was no weird stuff just the Jenna Jameson types, i think thats her name, we thankfully never shared my late father's 'hobby' together, we are not bloody lefties, you know those far left types, i wouldn't fix one of their computers for all doe in the world.
Hi mate there is a native Series X patch coming later this year. Not sure why they released the game without it 3 years into the life of these consoles. I spose at least it runs in back compat enhanced mode at 4k 60 anyway. Most likely enhanced version will be either dynamic 4k or 1440p

It no longer is called by it's Russia name, as is right.
I initially first used the Chornobyl title but changed it to Chernobyl due to the fact that most people will be searching for the original title.
Series x should be able to effortlessly do 120fps
it could be an engine limitation. Some games broke running at more fps

Bro it would run EASILY on switch. Trust me. I played it on a terrible 2011 gateway laptop with a 1st gen i3, and integrated graphics. If that garbage laptop ran it, Switch would breeze through it

Look like use the old % chance to touch enemy with gun , so boring in soc

Maybe, but they were probably strictly shooting games. Here you have an open world game where your decisions matter in it. And this amazing atmosphere that no other game has. At that time, such titles could be counted on the fingers of one hand. These animations can really be forgiven here, I never even noticed it, because the game delights with something else. Anyway, you always have mods too
