*I have used this tent 2 times. Great experience with each usage. The setup & takedown both take under 10 minutes. I was able to fit a full size and queen size mattress with a little walking room leftover.*
That's great to hear more positive feedback from others on this tent thank you. It definitely is a great little tent that has an easy set up and does the job really well. Really good value for money I think
Just got a Nevis 200 brand new for £95!! Really looking forward to trying it out on my Bikepacking trip to the NC500 in Scotland this summer. Thanks for the review!
I use the 300 just for me 😁. I've used it in freezing conditions in the Welsh mountains and very high winds on the Isle of skye. Handled both like a boss.
Hi buddy thank you for watching our upload I am glad it was of use to you . I am 100% sure your tent will serve you well and hope you have many adventures in it .
Good afternoon. Timber, the guy with a canguro avatar sent me here. You got a shout out from him. Yeah, it is nice to be outdoors. Definitely much better than indoors. I hope this bad situation will be over soon. I want to go out and have fun.
Cheers buddy always love hearing from others and there experience from the same kit. Definitely a great little tent I have had no issues. Thanks for commenting
Thank you for this useful review. I too have a Banshee (200) and was looking for something for my son now he is old enough / big enough to join me back-packing. Another Banshee was a bit too much money for something he may not use much but I also know the value of a decent tent. Have just ordered a Nevis 200 for him - partly because of your review.
Thanks buddy glad this review was of benefit to you in many ways it's similar to the banshee with its features. For the price of this wee tent I think it's excellent value for decent quality hope it serves you well. Don't forget to register the vango warranty
I remember the tent my brother and I began with was a wild country tent. I enjoyed that tent. This looks pretty good Colwyn for entry level. I'm to used to lightweight now to go back but good on a budget. All the best buddy. Mark
Nice sturdy little tent, great review Jim Timber gave you a great shout out, so I stopped by to support another Outdoors channel thanks for sharing ATvB ~ john
Very nice tent the Vango 200 and would be quite nice indeed but still over my budget for a tent... Excellent review! Great listing the specs in the description.
I bought a similar shaped Vango tent several years ago, the Spectre which had wee storage compartments at both ends, accessible from internal zips. It was great, but Vango eventually stopped making it .. why .. who knows This year, it'll get its first outing in over 12 years
Yeah Vango runs tents for 5-6 years then stop them with a newer model but keep certain classics like the banshee , Betas etc . Hopefully the trip goes well I have no doubt the tent you have will serve you well
@@sperrinoutdoors7642 When I bought the tent, I looked at the Banshee, but it was far too small. Tried my tent in the garden a few days ago, in the frost and all was well. I had forgotten though that 90% of the internal door is mesh .. that's maybe why it was discontinued.
Good timing, I'm starting to look at tents with my Explorer son. This will go on the list for further investigation when we are allowed out again. Cheers Al
I’m intrigued as to how you pegged this with the adjustable grey peg point. Yours seem much longer than my 300! Any chance of a close up or a pitching video?
Do you have the same tent? Sometimes I leave it out full length to be handy rather than adjusting the pulls to suit. I normally use the adjustable points on the mountain for winds so I can tighten or slack as I need while here I have them at full whack. Hope this helps thanks for watching buddy
Hiya, I have the 300, it’s an awesome tent. The only thing I seem to struggle with is keeping the fly in the back away from the inner. It seems that it always sags on the seam at the back to touch the fly. But a great tent and left it up in the rain the last week here and no leakage at all!
Yeah I think it's a cracking wee tent but I really do have to test it in more extreme weather. I never noticed the fly so hopefully next time I have it up I will have a look but you said was no leaks out in the rain definitely a good sign. Thanks for sharing your information on your 300
Reminds me of my first Vango thirty years ago....called the Vango Micro Odessey. Served me all around the world

Looks good. Is that a 4 season tent?
Nice one buddy I think it would depend on the winter weather storms but most of the year should be fine just depends on location too
Thank you, my friend, for the wonderful video. This is so informative.
