I've been sober for about a month now. The other day, I laughed out loud. It startled me, 'cause I haven't laughed in years!
It's so great to be free of the alcohol cycle and everything that goes with it. 16 months sober and lovin' it, I don't get cravings whatsoever and enjoy telling people who offer me alcohol that I don't drink.

Most certainly. I don't have many friends nowadays. But, looking back, the people I hung around with seem more friends of convenience than anything else. I adore the few people I truly call friend.

Dare I say it, with government support. Here in Australia the taxes are huge. On the one hand they encourage responsible drinking knowing full well that is an oxymoron and on the other taking the benefits of a dumbed down hedonistic society paying the tax man. Once you see it, you see it everywhere.
