Yea i don't think you've listened to enough songs. They have a HUGE catelog of songs and so many afreakinhgmazing songs I couldn't begin to pin down even 5. Im not like that with bands or musicians in general. I like a lot of some stuff that a lot of people put out but to like so much that spans such a long discography is rare for me which tells me they got something special
The National is my favorite band by a landslide but that being said, this is one of my favorite of their songs. If you like this song listen to Humiliation, England, Conversation 16, Little Faith, Bloodbuzz Ohio, Light Years, Guest Room, and Slow Show. I can’t understand loving this song and not absolutely adoring their other music. They are like no other band I’ve ever heard. I adore them. ❤️

Well, one reason may be that listening to those artists makes them happy. At least that is exactly the reason why I listen to The National.
I'm not a fan of The National but I can tell you, this is one of the most perfect songs I've ever listened to. Magical.
